Love That’s Sky High

CH. 4

Disclaimer: I don’t own Pokemon. Cool. I’m done with that part!

A/N: Dear Fateful fans…if any of you…even considered that this fanfic was somehow related to the world’s crappiest super hero movie ever, "Sky High" (By Disney)…I will hunt you down and kill you…painfully…not really.

By the way, I really implore you people to review. I just need a sign. Don’t think that someone else is gonna review and you don’t need to. If you read any of my fics, it’s your DUTY (Yes I know we’re not in the army…) as my fans or Pokeshippers to review. Whether or not you are flaming me!

One more thing. Did anyone like my song/mini fic "Tangled Up In Me"? I haven’t received any reviews on it! I didn’t think it was that bad…(I start crying). Please review! Thanks. I personally thought I did I good job on that story! If you don’t like it or if you love it please review.

Last Time: "Look Misty" Ash said as he rose his hand. Misty looked to where he was pointing and was amazed as the sun appeared.

"Don’t you just love sunsets?"

Misty’s heart was beating rapidly. Stupid Ash. Didn’t he know that sunsets were one of the most romantic times of the day?

In nearly all of her romance novels, the man confessed his love for the girl just as the sunset finishes.

As the sun was dipping lower and lower. Misty held her breath. Her heart was beating rapidly in anticipation. Suddenly, as the last few seconds of the sun were ending, Ash turned to Misty.

"Misty?"

Misty’s heart was beating like crazy. Was this it? She held her breath.

"Wanna go eat dinner?"

SIDE NOTE: I will change point of view in this chap so watch out.

CH.4

Stupid, stupid, stupid. That’s what I was. How could I even believe that Ash even liked me whatsoever. Had I forgotten all of those years spent traveling with him, constantly sneaking glances? I mean, I had only met Ash again about an hour ago! Every time I looked at him or when he smiled at me I died a little inside. I want Ash. I have always wanted Ash. And when I watched his face during the sunset saw his hair blow in the gentle breeze, I-I wanted to throw up in anger. It’s kinda like putting a cake in front of a starving child. Only a lot more so. Am I doomed to this forever? Constant regret and wanting? How many times in the gym have I thought of Ash? Years and more goddam years of waiting. But maybe I shouldn’t let that little flame of hope die yet. I mean, he did invite me, Misty Waterflower on vacation with him! And that must mean he doesn’t have a girlfriend yet.

So here I was, in the bathroom changing into a nice blue gown Ash so nicely supplied me with. I undid my ponytail and let my hair fall to the sides. After undoing many knots in my hair, I put a little make up on. I never want to be like my sisters so I only put a little on. If Ash wanted a faker girl…well…I hoped I wouldn’t have to resort to that until I was on my last legs. I blew a little hair out of my eyes. Man I hate dressing up. Ash was one of the only people I would ever dress up for.

So with that torture out of the way, I opened the door and crashed into a confused Ash.

After a few nervous and goofy seconds of maneuvering off of each other we finally got up.

Ash cracked me a goofy smile. For some reason he looked flustered. Maybe that was because I had just landed on top of him. Wow. That was a great way to get the man of my dreams.

"Heheh Misty. What is this, the second time today I’ve been knocked over by you?"

Ouch. That hurt. "Sorry about that Ash." I said while nervously staring at the floor in an apologetic manner. I rose my head up to look at him. "I didn’t mean to knock you down, It’s just been such an incredibly weird day and-" I froze. My eyes realized what they were looking at. Ash was dressed in a dark black tuxedo. His hair still lay tangled around on his head in a handsome way. He wore a few medals on his left breast. He looked amazing. I bit my lip nervously. He was amazing. Ash Ketchum in a suit. Never thought I’d see the day.

"Misty?" Ash waved his hand in front of my face. "Hellloooo? Anyone there?"

Flustered, I shook myself out of my trance. "Heh? Oh sorry Ash. I-uh…never mind let’s go to dinner!"

I grabbed onto Ash’s hand and pulled him out the door-or at least I tried. Ash really needed to make a way so that I could open his high tech-semi retarded door. After a bout of kicking the door with my high heels (that didn’t work…ow…) and yelling at Ash for not making me a key or something, we were on are way. The elevator ride seemed to be twice as slow as before. Maybe it was the awkward silence from my previous trance. I just twirled my hair.

I brought my eyes up only for them to be met by Ash’s. His eyes opened in surprise at realizing that I had found him looking at me. His face turned a slight twinge of pick before he opened his mouth to speak.

"Okay, okay I’m not going to hide it! I was looking at you." I was…well dumbfounded. My mouth opened slightly in surprise and my face became much pinker then Ash’s.

Ash continued carefully. "Its just-I haven’t seen you in so long. I’m just trying to keep a good image in my mind of you."

Surprise still speckled on my face; I waited for Ash to continue.

"I really did miss ya Misty." He said looking at me straight in the eyes.

For one moment, we were kids again. Goofy 12 year olds with the only care in the world being getting to the next town. Although, I thought to my self, if Ash had said things to me like that when we were younger, I might have kissed him on the spot.

I couldn’t contain myself anymore. He was too cute, we were too alone, and he was too nice. I hugged him.

After a good squeeze of at least 10 seconds I backed away nervously. Oh my god. He was blushing. Madly, furiously, and nervously.

Ash put his hand behind his head and gave a nervous high-pitched giggle. Suddenly, we heard a "ding" and I knew we were there. I heard Ash give a rather nervous sigh of relief. Why? I don’t know. As I turned to step out of the elevator, flashes erupted everywhere.

Paparazzi and journalists crowded around the elevator making it impossible to escape.

"Mr. Ketchum! Can we get a few shots for your fan club?"

Oh perfect. More girls to steal Ash away from me.

"Mr. Ketchum! There’s a rumor going around that this young red headed women is your wife!"

Wow. I really blushed hard that time.

"Mr. Ketchum! Is that your girlfriend?"

Ah…The blushing is wearing off…a little…

"Mista Ketchum! Can we have an intuview wid yas?" Said one very dirty looking lady with a strong jersey accent. (A/N: For all you British….think meowth."

At least that’s one girl that won’t give me any competition…

Finally, security guards grabbed the many annoying jerks and dragged them away.

"Heheh…sorry about that. Let’s go get dinner."

Ash grabbed my hand and we walked down the hallway to what seemed to be a grand dining room. A few feet away from the door, Ash let go of my hand.

I heard him mutter something about "not wanting to end up on the cover of Master Magazine with Misty" and he pushed the door open. About one hundred clothed tables filled with many powerful and famous icons to the Pokemon world sat before us. Everyone’s eyes immediately became focused on Ash as he walked into the room. I timidly followed in behind him. He led me over to an empty table and pulled a chair out for me. Whispers echoed throughout the room and many eyes focused on me. Why couldn’t they just mind their own business? I mean jeez!

Ash stood up and walked to the front of the room. He stood behind the podium and instantly began to adjust the microphone.

Every winced as Ash stupidly tapped the microphone a little louder than necessary.

"Hello? Is-Is this thing on? Hello?"

Finally someone managed to shout from the back that yes it was indeed on and no you didn’t have to make us all deaf. Laughter traveled around the room and Ash nervously scratched his head while flushing a brilliant crimson.

Cute.

"Oh…heheh sorry about that. I-uh I haven’t really had much experience with these things. Anyway, I’d like to thank you all for coming on this amazing trip with me to celebrate the completion of my dream."

Completion? When did Ash learn these words? Then again, he probably had a secretary to teach him these things. Better have not been a girl his age!

"I can’t wait to challenge you all and fight against some of my greatest heroes since I was a child." He motioned to a rather older man and his wife who smiled brightly back at him.

"I just want to say that my life’s dream has been accomplished and I’m happy that you are all here with me to celebrate it. By the way, many of you are probably wondering about my friend here Misty. She is my best friend and she traveled with me during have of my adventures. We are in no way, romantically related."

Torn. I was torn. He called me his best friend, but he also definitely didn’t think of me as a love interest. Well, nothing new there. So I just put on a pretty face and smiled.

Everyone one joined in a chorus of clapping and everyone was smiling.

Ash sat down across from me. "Finally! Time to eat!" he said as a waiter began to serve him a king sized custom made hamburger.

Sometimes things never change.
