I didn't really get to introduce the characters or anything very well in the first part. So I will in the second part. First off, this is my first fanfic and I hope you enjoy reading it because I will be spending a lot of time on this story. I also do not own Pokemon or any of the products/objects used in this story. Second, here are the characters: Misty,16 Cara,16 Ash,15 Brock,18 Jared,17 Jess,15 Melanie,15 Brittany,15 Danny,16 Robert,16 Joanna,16 Emily,16 So, now on with the second part :) Make Your Move Before He's Gone by A&FGirl “Come on, Misty. Lighten up. Just ignore Jess and her friends. Ash probably doesn't even like her very much.” Cara said as she pulled her dirty blonde hair into a high pony and adjusted the strings on her pink sparkly bikini. As soon as they got back from The Garden, Misty had been telling her best friend how much she already hated Jess. “She really has nerve for coming to our table right when me and Ash were talking.” Misty said as she put on her royal blue bikini with the gold hibiscus imprints. “I mean, she's not that attractive, is she?” Cara put on waterproof mascara and looked at Misty with sad eyes. “I don't know, Jess is not very nice, but I admit, I loved the top she was wearing. I think it was Chanel or something.” Misty sighed. “Yeah, I liked her top too. It must have been pretty expensive.” “Yeah.” Cara slipped her flip flops on and grabbed her towel. “Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go have some fun.” Misty smiled, grabbed her beach bag, and headed to the pool. When Cara and Misty reached the pool, Jess and her friends were late, but the boys were already there. Wow, is that Ash in swim trunks? I never really realized he had such a great body. Misty thought to herself. Ash waved at the girls to come over. “Come on, Misty. This is your chance!” Cara said. She then gracefully dived into the deep end of the pool. Misty took a deep breath and jumped into the cool blue water. When she came up for air, she saw Jess, Melanie, and Brittany. They had designer sunglasses on and it was almost dark outside. “Hey Ash!” Jess unwrapped her Coach towel that was around her waist to reveal a black and white striped bikini. Melanie and Brittany were wearing the same thing except Melanie's was pink and white and Brittany's was green and white. Great. Now Jess is going to be all over Ash. And I'm not going to be able to flirt with him. Suddenly, Misty felt a tap on her shoulder. It was Brock. “I know your secret.” Misty dropped her jaw. “How? What? Who?” “I've known since..well, forever really. So, you got the hots for my bud, Ash.” Brock raised his eyebrows. Misty sighed. “Yes, I do. I know we may fight a little bit. But, lately, he's been so nice to me and he's really grown up. But, he likes Jess.” “No, he doesn't. He thinks she's a little annoying. But, I'm not really sure if he likes you back. I could find out for you if you want..” “Oh, Brock. That would one of the best things anyone has ever done for me!” Misty exclaimed. “Wait.” Brock crossed his arms. “You have to do something for me in return.” “Sure. Anything.” She agreed. “I kind of ...like Cara. She's a great friend, but I'm sensing something more.” Brock said shyly. “I know she has Jared, but if they ever break up or anything, can you tell her I'm always there?” “Aww, that's so sweet.” Misty smiled. “Of course I can do that for you.” “It's a deal then.” Brock was about to turn and swim away, but Misty gave him a huge hug. “Thank you. You don't know how much this means to me.” He ruffled her hair. “Anytime.” “Ashy, come on the slide with me.” Jess made a “come here” motion with her finger and gave Ash a flirty grin. “Uh, ok.” Ash got out of the pool and headed towards her. “We can go on the slide with two people.” Jess grabbed his hand and led him toward the bright red slide. She thinks she can lead him around like that. Misty thought as swam towards Cara, who was talking with two other girls. “Hey Misty. This is Joanna and this is Emily. They're staying at the resort with their friends, Danny and Robert.” “Hey.” Misty smiled. Joanna had naturally, straight brown hair and hazel eyes. She had a blue and yellow retro print bikini on. Emily also had straight brown hair, but her eyes were light blue, like Misty's. She had a pink and green polka dot bikini on. “Why are you guys hanging out with Jess' crowd?” Joanna asked. “They kind of invited themselves.” Misty explained the whole story to them. “That's what Jess likes to do.” Emily said. “Every year, she comes here, finds a guy she likes, and tries to lure him over. Her friends do the same.” “Every year?” Cara gasped. “She comes every year?” “Yeah.” Emily said. “My dad books at least three rooms for us in the summer.” “Wait,” Misty shook her head. “Your dad owns the Rose Petal Resort?” “Yes.” Emily said. “And Jess is my younger sister. We're a year apart, but it doesn't really look like I'm the older one sometimes.” “How could that monster be your sister? You're so nice.” Cara exclaimed. “Thanks. No one really can tell, can they?” Emily glanced at Jess as she landed at the bottom of the slide. Ash was not with her, but he came down shortly after. “So Cara's been telling us that you got a crush on Ash.” Joanna grinned. “Is it true?” Misty blushed. “Yeah, it's true. He's the sweetest. But, so far, he only thinks of me as a friend. And I want to be so much more than that.” “I understand. I've liked Danny for a year now.” Emily said sadly. “But he likes Melanie.” “I'm so glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. Me and Robert are perfect together.” Joanna smiled. “Oh my gosh!” Cara covered her mouth and stared across the pool. Jared was standing up in the shallow end with Brittany on his back, laughing. “That slut!” Cara shouted. “How dare she! She saw me and Jared at the restaurant.” Misty tried to calm her down, but Cara got out of the pool and walked over to where the laughing pair were hanging out. “Excuse me. But, that's my boyfriend you're flirting with.” Cara told Brittany. “Chill out, Cara. We're just having some fun.” Jared smiled at Brittany who had now jumped into Jared muscular arms. “Uh huh. Brittany, why don't you find another guy who is SINGLE?” Cara spoke louder. “Uh, hey spaz? Stop ruining my time with Jared. Go away.” She waved her manicured hand. Cara gasped and looked over at Jared. “And your not going to do anything about it, are you?” “Well, sweetie, you are being a little spazzy.” Jared laughed and looked back at Brittany. “I thought you cared about me. I never knew you would cheat on me like this.” Cara's eyes welled up with tears. “Our first night here and you're being a jerk?” Jared ignored her look. “I'll talk to you later about this, kay?” Cara stormed back to Misty, Joanna, and Emily. “I can't believe him. We're going to have a talk later tonight.” Cara sat with her back against the pool wall. “Did you hear what she said to me?” Joanna said, “Brittany is defiantly the rudest of the three. When she's with a guy she likes, she will do anything it takes to make him hers. Even if it means hurting another girl.” Misty watched as Ash walked down the patio towards her. “Guys, Ash is coming. What do I do?” Misty panicked. “Misty! Stop worrying! This is the perfect time to make your move. Now, go and talk to him.” Misty sighed and got out of the pool. “Hey Ash!” Misty said in a quiet voice. “Misty! I was just about to ask you something.” Ash smiled. “Did you want to come sit in the hot tub with me and chat for a bit?” “Sure.” Misty turned to the girls and silently screamed. Emily gave her the thumbs up. Misty slid into the warm bubbly hot tub water and took a seat beside Ash. “So, what do you want to talk about?” She asked. “I wanted to talk about Jess.” Ash said. “It seems like your not too fond of her.” “She didn't really say hi to me or anything at the restaurant.” Misty said quietly. “Well, I'm don't like her that much either. She's kind of annoying. And I hate how she's all over me and we have hardly even met.” “I wouldn't like that very much either.” Misty adjusted her side pony. “And I absolutely hate how she talks about you.” Ash stared at Misty. “What?” Misty gasped. “She talks about me in a bad way?” “Yeah.” Ash sighed. “She keeps saying how you just want to be her and how you should dye your hair a different color.” Misty couldn't believe it. She had hardly met Jess and she was already treating Misty like an enemy. “That's harsh.” “I told her to stop and she did, but I still hated her for saying it in the first place. Your a great pal, Misty.” Ash put his arm on her shoulder. “And I don't want anyone hurting you.” Oh my gosh! Did he just say that? HE DID! Misty smiled. “Thanks for sticking up for me.” “So, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out when we went to the amusement park tomorrow.” Ash looked down in shyness. “You know, as friends?” “Sure.” Misty smiled. “That would be great.” “I mean, Jess and her friends are going as well, but I just want to hang out with you and Cara and Brock for a change. Jared seems to be all over Brittany and well, I want to get away from all the drama. What about you?” Ash eyed her. 'Yeah. As long as Emily and Joanna can hang with us too. They're some friends we made earlier tonight.” “Of course.” Ash smiled. “Well, see you tomorrow then.” “Bye.” Misty hopped out of the tub and ran to catch up with Cara, Joanna, and Emily. She couldn't wait to tell them about her plans with Ash. That's part 2 done. Stay tuned for part 3 when the gang goes to Flower Power Land. Luvs and hugs, KayKayJ
