Chapter 2:Starting on the road

As the Shadow Balls grew larger in size with every passing moment Ricky and 
Farfetch’d just stood there cowering when a whistle was heard and the sound 
of engines could be heard outside.
”Maybe they came to save us.”said Ricky quietly to Farfetch’d.The next second 
a wrecking ball broke through the gym wall and sunlight burst in.The shadows 
retreated deep inside the gym.
”Were free!”said Ricky stepping out of the large hole in the wall with 
Farfetch’d sleeping in his arms.
”Oh no,I’ve got to tell mom”shouted Ricky suddenly and dashed towards his 
house.
He pushed the door open and shouted”Mom!I found a pokemon.”His mother ran to 
him alarmed at his bruises and surprised he found a pokemon.
”What happened?”questioned his mother while brushing him and Farfecth’d.
”I went into the old gym and found Farfetch’d then something attacked us”said 
Ricky picking up Farfetch’d.
”Can I keep him?”he suddenly said.
“We’ll see,but now we need to get you two some lunch”said his mother taking 
them inside as Farfetch’d ate the leftovers of his leek.

Later on,Ricky’s parents were deciding to let him keep Farfetch’d.
“That pokemon should be snt back into the wild”said his father sternly.
“We’ve already delayed his pokemon journey long enough,at least let him have 
a pokemon”replied his mother.
After long thought his father finally agreed to let him keep Farfetch’d as 
long as it doesn’t stay in the house.
The next day Ricky woke up to find that his parents had left a note for him 
by his bed,it read”Dear Ricky,
Your mother and I have gone to a meeting and have left you the essentials  
for your pokemon journey.”
Ricky Jumped for joy as he stared around his room and saw six pokeballs,a 
full backpack and Farfetch’d sleeping in a corner with a new leek.
“This is the best day of my life!”shouted Ricky so loud that he woke up the 
neighbours.
He tapped one of the pokeballs on Farfetch’d and a red light sucked him in.
“I think I’m gonna call you Farfetch.”said Ricky and walked downstairs only 
to see breakfast and his new trainer clothes.
“Awesome.”he shouted and started scarfing down his breakfast.Soon he had 
finished putting on his new clothes and sent out Farfetch.
“Alright buddy,you ready for an adventure?”he said.
“Farfetch’d!”replied Farfetch.Ricky opened the door and stepped outside with 
Farfetch.
“Return”he called out as the pokeball sucked in Farfetch and Ricky set off on 
his journey.He walked through the gate of Silverlake town and into Route 600.
“I wonder when I’ll catch my first pokemon”said Ricky strolling through the 
tall grass when suddenly something attacked him from behind,Ricky instantly 
fell asleep.
When he woke up he was in a cage surrounded by Togetic,an egg rested in a 
velvet cushion on top of a rock.
“What do you want from me”cried Ricky.The togetic pointed to the egg and then 
pointed at him and pretended to punch eachother.
“You want me to break the egg by punching it?”said Ricky.The Togetics shook 
their heads in alarm.
“You want me to punch you guys?”said Ricky and the Togetics shook their heads 
again.
“You want me to battle you for the egg?”said Ricky and the Togetics finally 
nodded then released him from the cage.Ricky stepped up to the egg and 
touched it when a flamethrower nearly burned him to a crisp.
“What the!?”said Ricky looking to his right and saw a Togetic in a battle 
stance.
“Alright then.Go Farfetch”said Ricky throwing the pokeball and Farfetch 
emerged from it.
“Uh...do anything you can”said Ricky flushed with embarrassment.Farfetch’s 
leek lowed purple as he whacked it onto Togetic’s head,the wound was glowing 
purple as Togetic got up and  threw a rainbow coloured leaf at Farfetch.
“Fetch!!!”screamed Farfetch as the leaf hit his left wing then he started 
smacking Togetic with his leek out of anger and ended up winning the battle.
“That was awkward.”said Ricky returning Farfetch back into his pokeball and 
tapping the egg with a pokeball to capture it and thn he ran away.
“I never wanna see another Togetic again”said Ricky as two people spied on 
the pokeball with the egg.
