Title: Jetton's Tale Author: Ace Pika Part: 2 E-mail: coolbovine@hotmail.com Category: Other Trainers (OT) ***************** Howdy yall. I'm doing Part 2 now. Clap for me! ***************** It was nearly midnight when Randall and I reached Oldale Town. We had our Pokemon in their balls, even though they usually stayed out, every single one. Except for Poochyena. It was extremely vicious for one of its level, and Randall kept it on his belt. "I'll probably send it to Birch," said Randall. "You know, to promote the knowledge of Pokemon whatever. Besides, I want to be a normal gym leader, and I can only use normal Pokemon." We entered the Oldale Pokemon center soon after another Zigzagoon had challenged us, which I quickly wiped out with a few of Wingull's water guns. "Would you like to heal your pokemon?" A nurse at the counter spoke to us in a robot-like voice. It sounded like quite a boring job. "Yes please." Randall and I put our pokemon on a small tray which the nurse took and loaded onto a machine that generated energy through the pokemon. While they were being healed, Randall and I grabbed a couple of burgers and some Poke-chow for the road. Randall also suggested that we buy some potions. Taking his advice, I spent 900 pokeyen on 3 potions. It may seem expensive, but 100 pokeyen is the equivalent of 1 US Dollar. We were about to get our pokemon when Randall stopped. "Wait a sec, I'm gonna send Poochyena to Birch." He walked over to a computer and I watched as he inserted the Pokeball into a slot and downloaded it onto the machine. Sending it to Birch, he typed in a message saying "Large Poochyena" and he signed off. As we grabbed our fully-healed Pokemon and went out the door, we bumped right into a fairly tall kid with dark red hair. "Watch it, buddy!" The kid glared at me, then recognized who I was. "Hey, you're that mama's boy from the Petalburg Pokemon Center. Ha!" "Whatever." I tried to walk past him, but he stopped me. "Where ya goin'? I've been wanting to battle you for AGES. You already have two pokemon, and I saw you a couple nights ago! Get ready, punk." He pulled from his pocket a red ball. Recognizing that this was the start of a fight, I had Growlithe ready. She growled and pawed at the ground. "Go, Eevee!" Throwing his pokeball, a small brown ball of fur hopped out with a combatious attitude. "Gah! Where is everyone getting all these rare pokemon?" Randall shook his head. "I got it from my dad, Professor Gary Oak. After he was defeated by Ash Ketchum for the final time, he decided to become a Professor. He and Ash are friends now, though. I'm his son Stevie. Duh, dontcha know I'm practically royalty?" Stevie snickered. Still staring at the Eevee, I took out my pokedex: "Eevee, the evolution Pokemon. Eevee's genetic code is irregular and may mutate if exposed to certain stones. Gender: Male. Level: 6. Pokedex Entry: #133. End of Evaluation." The Evaluation for Eevee was shorter than for Growlithe or Wingull because I didn't own it. However, I could see that my opponent's patience was getting short, so I sent Growlithe into combat. The battle started with Eevee's tackle attack, which Growlithe took well. She responded with an ember, taking away half of Eevee's hit points. Growlithe shook her tail, waiting for another order. Before Eevee could get up, I ordered her to tackle it, and she did so. "Eevee!" The kid quickly took out a strange berry and fed it to his pokemon. "Now use a quick attack!" Eevee took aim at Growlithe, bowed his head and charged at her at full speed. He knocked Growlithe off of her feet, and she lay whimpering. I quickly resolved to withdraw her and use Wingull. Since the berry had only healed Eevee up to 50%, a few of Wingull's water guns would do. I knew he was only at level 5, but I was willing to take the chance. "Alright Wingull. You ready?" Wingull sat on my shoulder and nodded. I could sense a determined attitude from him. "Okay. Wingull, use water gun!" Wingull's curved beak opened up and he shot a stream of ocean water from it. Eevee was hit for the final time in this battle, and I took the victory. However, Stevie was half flabbergasted and half enraged. "That... you... URGH! I'll get you... uh..." "Jetton Satamo." "Jetton! I'll defeat you sometime." With those last words, he stormed into the pokemon center. Meanwhile, Randall and I cheered. "That was awesome!" Randall and I hi-fived and I took out a potion for Growlithe. According to the Pokedex, Wingull had gained two levels and Growlithe was almost at level 10 by now. I patted her head and she licked my fingers. Wagging her tail, she leapt on ahead of me, and we soon entered Petalburg City. The second Part is done. Now I have you all under my spell. Mwahaha! You must read more. Anyway, the next part is really exciting (or it will be once I think of something), so stay tuned!
