I don't know, so don't ask. Cheers! ===================================================================== "Ashley, are you sure this is the spot where you saw it? I don't see anything." "I'm pretty sure, Misty. Ok, here's the spot. Let's go fishing." Here we are, on a bright Tuesday morning. School had let out for spring break early. We see two little girls, one has orange hair while the other has light brown hair. Ashley sits down on the crisp grass next to a pond, while Misty leans her pretty-in-pink bicycle against a tall oak tree. "Think we might catch a horsea today?" Misty ponders this questionable question on Ashley. "I hope so. I had planned on it being my starter pokemon!" Ashley answers with an anime smile. The two girls take out their fishing poles and hook some lure on the hooks designed to capture water pokemon. They both start singing a song that they had heard that morning on television. "From the rolling hills," Misty starts off. "To the desert heat." Ashley joins in. "From the fields and streams," "To the steel and concrete." Just before Misty begins, she feels her hook being tugged. She yanks it back, with no luck. She stands up and starts walking backward, dragging a near- lifeless body out of the water. Misty immediately runs to the dark-haired 5 year old boy. Ashley comes over and helps Misty revive the boy. She just rolls up her fists, and starts pounding on his chest. He coughs, while rolling on his side. "I wonder if he lives here." Misty asks. "Maybe. I am from Viridian, but somehow go to school here." Ashley replies. "Hey, boy, wake up...... come on wake up, your scaring me!" Misty shakes the boy, which he jolts up. He looks into her ocean-blue eyes. "I don't think horsea wants to play. Oh man, I gotta get outta here." He bolts to Misty's bike, hops on, and rides away without realizing he left his id card behind. "HEY, THAT'S MY BIKE. GET YOUR......... What's this?" Misty picks up his card and looks at the name. 'Ash Ketchum, 1538 W. Sunshine St. Pallet Town. Parents are Delia and Michael Ketchum. Ash, Ash, Ash, Ash, Ash. What a beautiful name to fit a cute kid. Maybe I can see him one last time......' :::3 days later::: KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK "Who's there?" Delia calls out, still drying the glass in her hand. "My name is Misty, and I wish to speak with, uhh, Ash?" Misty stands, waiting to meet the boy that dropped his id card... and stole her bike. "Ok, hold on. He might be in the backyard with his friend Kaleb. Let me check. Ash.........." Delia went into the backyard, then came back. "Would you like to come in?" Delia offers. "Yes ma'am." Misty walks inside the 2-floor house painted a heaven white. Delia leads the 5 year old into the living room. Ash is sitting on the couch, waiting. Misty walks over, while Delia walks out of the room. "How are you?" Misty asks. "I'm ok. I'm sorry about your bike. When I start my pokemon journey in 3 years, I promise you can come with me. Is that fair?" Ash asks. "Yes, but I was going to drop off your card. You dropped it at the pond before you stole my bike." "I'm very sorry. Can you give me your number so I can still talk to you?" Ash asks. "Yeah," 'I'm gonna go on a journey with him.' Misty writes 7 numbers on a piece of paper and hands it to Ash, "Here you go." "Thanks, I'm going back to the pond in a week. I gotta pick up a pokemon tomorrow from Mr. Oak." Ash explains. "Sure, see ya then." Misty walks out the door, thanking Delia for her hospitality. Misty walks through Viridian to meet her parents. 'I hope we will be friends, maybe more. I hope so.' ==================================================================== Preview: "Ash, I had the dream again.... Can I come and sleep in your bed? I promise nothing will happen. I just feel safe around you. So, can I?" Misty pleads with her 18-year old friend. "You had the dream agai............ Ok, come on." Ash scoots over and folds the covers back so Misty can get in. He then places the covers back on top of her. "Misty, can I put my arm around you?" Ash hadn't realized that he was still awake, but soon knows it's too late to go back. "Ash, of course. Can I tell you something?" "Yeah, sure. What is it?" Is she gonna tell him the truth? Is she gonna tell him, period? I know it's sorta not like a real cliff hanger, but give me a break. It's my first part in my first fic. Please review. Thanks and hope you enjoyed it. ---mistyandash4ever
