Author's note: I know I said that I would be making more parts, but I don't think this story is working too well, even though it was awarded best in category for JAJRN (and thank you to those who voted.) This will be the epilogue. I hope it's not too bad, but I have more stories to write up and I have another story to finish. Thanks again for reading this story. ========================================================================= Misty and Jessie are standing inside a room. Misty's in a long, flowing, strapless bluish-white dress, and Jessie is putting the finishing touches on herself. Misty: You nervous, Jess? Jessie: Yes, very. It's not everyday you get married, you know. Misty: I'm happy for you Jessie. Jessie: You've noticed that you always see me and James together, side by side, right? Misty: Yeah, and.... Jessie: I always see you and Ash together, side by side. Misty: The point is? Jessie: I love James and we're getting married. Misty: The Point is?? Jessie: Someday, you and Ash will get married. Misty: Ya think so? Jessie: Uh, yeah! James and I met when we were kids, you and Ash met when you were kids. James and I love each other, you and Ash love each other. James and I are getting married.... Misty: Oh, ok. Maybe... Jessie: Not maybe, definitely The two girls giggle as Jessie gives one last look of herself in the mirror. She was about to marry her best friend and the love of her life. She thinks to herself that there's no way she could be happier. Misty thinks about what Jessie told her. Could Misty And Ash really be the right couple for getting married? She giggled and blushed at the thought of being Mrs. Ketchum. Jessie ushered Misty out the door to signal that she was ready. Misty stood with the bunch of pink roses in her hand and stared ahead at Ash. 'He looks handsome like that,' she thought. And then, she heard it. "Here comes the bride," was the classic song for signalling a woman's readiness to be eternally bounded to the one man she'll love most in her life. Misty gently walked down the short aisle, but to her, it seemed like a walk of foreverness. She pictured herself in the bride's dress and Ash was the one she was getting married to. She stood next to the place where Jessie was to stand. She looked back to Jessie and thought that she looked beautiful. She watched Jessie give her the flowers while James took Jessie's hands. She heard the preacher talking and saw James whisper to Jessie that he loves her. She looked to Ash and saw him looking at her. He whispered, 'I love you' and she felt her lips mouth the same words back to him. They heard Jessie and James say their I do's and the kiss which should seal them to each other for all of eternity. She handed Jessie her flowers and watched as Jessie and James run down the aisle, now a happily married couple. Her and Ash followed, also holding hands. They went outside to the sunsetting landscape to see everyone forming two groups. One group was made up of girls and the other made up of guys. Jessie tossed her flowers high in the air and turned to watch a massacre of girls as they fight for the flowers, which Misty held high above her head. James smiled at Jessie as she walked over to him. James began taking off her garter (in case none of you know what that is, it's an elastic cloth band that goes around a woman's thigh) with his teeth. James soon held it high in the air and tossed it. Ash jumped up to avoid being tackled and ended up catching it with his head. He felt extremely embarassed and took it off. Jessie and James walked over to the Dj, who soon turned down the music. Jessie: Ok, I know a lot of you girls are pretty bummed out that Misty caught the flowers instead of you... James: And Ash caught the garter, instead some of you fellas...and ladies... Jessie: Eww, anyways...Tradition says that the man with the garter and the lady with the flowers share a dance on the dance floor. All lights dimmed out as Kci and Jojo's 'All my life' begins to play. Ash and Misty walked to the middle floor and began to slow dance together. After a while, everybody else began to join in. Ash leaned in to whisper something inaudible in Misty's ear. After he finished, Misty squealed and said 'yes' very loudly and tackled him to the floor, followed by a kiss. Jessie and James smiled at the newly engaged couple and remembered this day to be by far the happiest day anyone could enjoy. ======================================================================== Well, sorry for the story being shorter than what I said it would be. I hoped you all liked it. If you want, leave me a comment. Catch ya later. --A Couple of Doves
