He looked all around him and noticed all the gravemarkers around him. Ash: There's a lot of people here. Here she is.... He bends down to a particular gravestone and reads it to himself. Ash: I remember what happened like it was yesterday. She was too young to go. She shouldn't have gone at all. She wasn't driving, we weren't drunk, we weren't high, but they were. He stands up to wipe the numerous tears streaming down his flushed face. Ash: I wish it never happened, or at least I could have gone. I don't want to remember, but it was the last time I heard her voice, the last time I saw that face, her eyes, her all together... *~*flashback*~* Everyone: Happy bithday Misty! Delia: Congradulations Misty! We are all proud of you. Daisy, Violet, Lily: Yeah, Misty, like we are all like very happy that you're like the best age of all. Misty: Thanks for the party. It took me by surprise. And with that said, she winked at Ash. He returned with a smile. Brock: So, Misty, now that you are 18, how does it feel. You gotta remember that us older folks forget what it's like to be young. A few seconds later, we find Brock twitching on the floor with a bump appearing on his head. Daisy, Violet, and Lily learned one of Misty's trademark moves, the mallet. Misty: Well, to tell you the truth, it still feels 17. With every passing second, I feel older. Ash: Hey, time to cut the cake! The ice cream is melting. Delia leans into Ash and whispers something inaudible. He nods a few seconds later. He may have ratted about the party, but something else was left unsaid... Misty grabs a cutting knife and starts cutting the cake. Misty: Oh sweet! It has chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream inside! Hey, what's this. Misty started digging at something she saw. Brock zoomed in his camera, he knows. Misty: Oh my god! It's a ring! Oh my, I can't believe this. Ash walks over, takes the ice cream covered ring, and kneels in front of her. Ash: Misty, we've been friends for quite a long time. We've been dating for 2 years. I love you very much. Everything about you, I would never change a single bit of it. You're the one for me. No girl could take your place. No way, no how. I've loved you since the day we met. And I hope and pray you do not turn my gift away. I tell you all this to ask you. Will you please be my wife? Misty: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Ash then slips the ring on her finger, and they both kiss very passionately. We then hear a lot of hooting going on. Brock: No fair. They get together, and engages before I get to. Ash breaks from the kiss. Ash: Quit being a womanizer. Talk with her first, get to know her, and then ask her out. Brock: Oh..... Everyone just starts chuckling. Ash breaks away from the kiss, and pulls two slips of paper out of his back pocket. He hands them to Misty, and then plugs his ears. It's a good thing too, Misty discovered they were concert tickets. Not just any concert tickets, they were for Jesse McCartney too. Not just any tickets for any ordinary seats, they were front row center stage. Misty: Ash, how did you get these? They're nearly impossible to get. Ash: Well, I looked online for tickets and this guy was really stupid enough to give them away, so I bought them.... Misty: For how much? Ash: It was only $500. Misty: For both of them? Ash: Each. Misty: Oh man. This is one of the best days of my life. Ash: We better hurry. Concert's gonna start. Misty: Wow. See y'all later. Everyone: Bye Misty, bye Ash. Have a good time! Ash and Misty get inside his car which is a '90 Volkswagon beetle. It's a cream color with a tan interior and leather seats. They get in, and Ash starts the car up. Almost instantly, Misty hears one of her favorite songs. It's called Beautiful Soul. I don't want another pretty face I dont' want just anyone to hold I don't want my love to go to waste I want you and your beautiful soul You're the one I want to chase You're the one I want to hold I won't let another minute go to waste I want you and your beautiful soul Misty: I love this song. I can't wait to... Ash: We're here. Misty: Wow, that was fast. Ash and Misty get out of the car. Misty has this bug-eyed look on her face. She was so excited to be here. Ash went up to the ticketbooth and bought two more items. She didn't get the chance to see what they were. He went up to her, making sure the items he purchased was not sticking out. Misty: What'd ya get? Ash: That's for me to know, and you to find out. Misty: Ok... Ash grabbed Misty's hand, and they both walked inside the Expo Square (if you don't know what that is, it's just a place in my hometown where a lot of concerts, gun&knife shows, and garden shows are held) and walked down the aisle. It took them a long time to get to their seats because everyone that was there were too busy looking for their seats. After about 10 minutes the finally got to the front row where they were confronted by 2 security guards. Guard #1: Excuse me, but do you have tickets to be in the front row? Ash: Yes we do. Guard #2: May we see them? We want to make sure no one is taking seats. Misty: Ok. Ash and Misty hand their tickets to the guards. The guards look them over, making sure they're not fake. Guard #1: Here you go. Guard #2: Enjoy the show. Ash, Misty: Thanks. Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, please take your seats. The concert's about to start. Misty: Oh, I can't wait. Ash: What? I can't hear you. The crowd's too loud! Misty didn't hear him. She was too busy looking at the guy on stage. He had blonde hair, blue eyes, and looked to be 17 or 18. Jesse: Hey, what's up everybody? The crowd just screams. Mostly girls, but a few guys scream as well. Jesse: Tonight, we have an awesome show for you. Our first song is "Because you live" and it goes out to a beautiful lady named Misty Waterflower right there. Misty: Ash I love you! Staring out at the rain with a heavy heart It's the end of the world in my mind Then your voice pulls me back Like a wake-up call I've been looking for the answer Somewhere I couldn't see that it was right there But now I know, what I didn't know Because you live, and breathe Because you make me believe in myself When nobody else can help Because you live girl My world.... Has twice as many stars in the sky...... *~*flashback interrupted*~* Ash: Too much.... Ash backs away from the gravestone, crying. He couldn't stand it anymore, the fact that his one love was gone in a flash. Brock: Ash, is that you? Ash: Yeah, how did you find me? Delia: It wasn't hard to figure out where you were. Ash: Go away. I need to be alone. Oak: Ash, you need friends at a time like this. Don't you think we all needed Misty? You're not the only one who misses her dearly. Ash: I'm sorry, it's just today is one of those days. Everyone walks over and places a comforting hand on his shoulder. Ash: Thanks you guys. I'm feeling better now. Brock: Now, if you feel up to it, would you like to tell us the final moments? Delia: Brock! That's the rudest.... Ash: It's alright mom. We had just watched the last song that Jesse sang "Take you sweet time". We were in line to go backstage..... *~*continue flashback*~* Misty: I can't wait. I'm so excited that I just can't wait! Thanks so much Ash. Ash: Well, anything for milady. Ash bowed down, ever so gently took her hand, and kissed it softly. Almost everyone 'awed', well except for one guy. Guy: Get a room! Heh heh, she should be kissing me! Kid #1: Shut up man! Kid #2: Yeah, these two are a perfect example of a couple! Then the first kid stomped on the guy's foot. Everyone laughed, that is, except the guy. He quietly moaned and hopped to the first aid station. Guard #1: NEXT!!!!! Ash and Misty hadn't realized that they were next in line to see Jesse in person. Guard #2: You two again? Ash, Misty: Yep! Guard #1: Pass? They both flipped their passes out from their pockets. The guards took them and examined them closely. Guard #1: Ok. Now that you are a few minutes from meeting JMac, there's a few things you should know NOT to do. Guard #2: He's just messin' with ya. Go on! Guard #1: Dude, you ruined my joke! Guard #2: You're not a good joker anyway. Guard #1: Yeah, yeah. NEXT........ Ash and Misty walked down the long hallway. Looking here and there. Finally, their eyes rested upon Jesse McCartney's Dressing Room. Misty: Oh man, what if I make the wrong impression? What if I do something wrong, or worse, SAY SOMETHING WRONG??? Ash: Misty get a hold of yourself! You're not going to say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing. You were just fine when we met... Misty: .... Oh you mean when I fished you out of the pond, right? Ash: Unfortunately. Misty: Well, here goes nothing. Misty knocked on the door a few times. She stepped back, and grabbed Ash's hand, practically squeezing the life out of it. As soon as the door opened, she loosened the grip. Jesse: Can I help you two? Misty: Hi... uh...I'm....uh...uh.... Ash: *scoff* Her name is Misty, and I'm Ash. We would like a few moments of your time to just hang out. Misty: What he said....*anime sweatdrop* Jesse: I get this all the time. Come on in. Jesse led the way in. Inside was a couch against the wall facing where they just came from, a love sofa on the opposite wall, and a singe lazy boy chair across from the sofa. In the middle is a coffe table made of dark cherry wood. Jesse walks toward the mini-fridge in the corner and opens the door. Jesse: Do you two want something to drink? Misty: I'll have a Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. Ash: Vanilla Coke for me. Jesse: Cool choice. I prefer DP myself. He grabs 3 drinks and hands two of them to Ash and Misty. Misty: Thanks Jesse! Jesse: No prob! So, where'd you two come from? Ash: Here. Jesse: Oh, Pallet town. Where at? Misty: We live at Sunshine Lane, just a couple houses from that big, 3-story house that's an ugly grey. Jesse: Oh, I drove by that house, checking out the neighborhood. I saw there was a bunch of people inside the kitchen. Like a birthday party. Misty: Yeah, it was my birthday today. Jesse: Oh, well you must let me take you two to dinner tomorrow night. Golden Corral good? Ash, Misty: Yeah. Misty: It's also the same day that Ash and I are engaged. Jesse: Oh, congradulations! Well, sorry to boot you out, but I need to get some sleep. Got another show to put on tomorrow, then I'll head on over to meet you all. Misty: Thanks for your time. Jesse: No problem. I'm happy that I got to meet one of my cutest *bad look from Ash* yet happily together fans... Ash: Nice save. Catch ya later. Jesse: Oh, in case I'm unable to make the date, here's my phone number. And, email address. So, see ya tomorrow? Misty: Sure. Bye Jesse. Ash: Take care Jesse. Jesse: Bye. And Congradulations once more! Ash and Misty turn to their left and walk out the exit. They get into the car. Ash puts in the key, and turns it. The car starts up, and "Because you live" is playing. Ash drives down the street, which was really creepy. It was named "Death Street" and it's look suited the name. Ash checked to see if the coast was clear and didn't see any cars coming. When their car was in the middle of the street, this truck came roaring through and nailed Ash's side of the car. He was knocked out, without knowing what was happening.... ***1 month later*** Delia: Don't you tell me that he's never waking up! He will. He has to. He needs to know. Ash: Know what? Delia: Oh Ash! I was afraid I lost you too! Ash: Me too....How's Misty? Is she ok? Brock: Uhm.... Oak: Well, no really. In a way, yes. She died Ash. She died instantly. Ash: No, that can't be.... She wasn't driving, I was... We were happily listening to the radio... It can't be... Doctor: It was a freak accident, we rarely see this. Usually the driver dies, in this case the passenger did. Ash: NO!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!! She shouldn't have died, I should have. I should have. I shouldn't have bought those back stage passes. Nurse: Excuse, but there's a man here wanting to visit Ash. Jesse: Hey, I was wondering what happened to you two. Ash sobs even louder. Delia: *whispers to herself* Misty..... *speaks a little louder* let's take this outside. Delia and Jesse step outside. Meanwhile, Brock and Professor Oak tried to comfort Ash the best they could, but in vain. Ash: Please, just leave me alone! Doctor: Ok, come on. You can visit him later. Brock: Ok. Professor Oak: But, he's......oh never mind, I'll tell him later. Ash: Misty, you shouldn't have died. You weren't driving. You were looking at me, I was looking at you. We were singing to your favorite song. Please, come back! I can't live without you. I need you here beside me. Please, wake me up from this nightmare. Ash hears this faint voice calling to him. Ash: Who's that? Voice: Ash, don't be sad. You must live on. Trust me, I didn't want to leave either. I wish I could hold you, feel you in my arms, kiss you once more. I'm sorry, but I have to go. Make me a promise? Ash: What? Misty: Live in peace, happiness, and go on with your life. Just don't forget me. Visit me when you can. I'll always be in the same spot day after day. Ash: Ok. *~*end flashback*~* Ash: I was a little confused by "I'll always be in the same spot day after day." But I understand it now. She didn't want to go, but that shouldn't stop me from living my life. She wants me to be happy. Brock: We'll miss you Misty. Delia: Hope you will watch over us. Oak: So long, Misty dear. Ash: Goodbye. And say hello to my dad for me. Just then, Ash felt like he was kissed on his cheek. He knew who did it. It was Misty. Kissing him goodbye. He'll never forget her. He stood up. Ash: Well, I've gotta run. I need to meet up with a partner in Dallas. He wants me to meet him at a theatre. Catch you later. And, I'll see you when I get back. Ash bends down and kisses the gravestone. He stood up to read what it says. Misty Waterflower-Ketchum 1987-2005 Loving Sister, Friend, Daughter, Aunt, Niece, and Wife. Ash laid down his picture of him and Misty laying on top of one another. It was the picture that was taken at her 18th birthday party. He also laid down a bouquet of roses and daisies. He hopped on his motorcycle with the word "Misty" on the side. It was a sparkling blue with little Togepi's and Pikachu's all over it. He took one last look at her gravestone and the one next to it, which read "Here lies Pikachu, the best pokemon yet. I'll mist you." He drove down that little street inside the cemetary. Before he turned the corner. He looked back. Tears streaming down his face. Ash: Goodbye, Misty. And goodbye my little buddy... ==================================================================== Oh my, that was so0o0 sad! But it was sorta happy at the end. This is probably one of the best fictions I ever wrote. Well, untill next time...Same pikatime, same pikachannel... --mistyandash4ever
