This is based on the Pokemon Special Manga. In the Pokemon Special Manga, Mewtwo was created in Celadon City, and escaped and fled to Cerulean City. There were no specifics on how he escaped in the manga, and I exploited that fact to my advantage. I LIKE THE MANGA’S VERSION OF MEWTWO’S CREATION BETTER!! Disclaimer: ya’ll know Pokemon don’t belong to me so yeah… ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------- ‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the town, not a creature was stirring except Jake Brooks tearing the remains of Cinnibar Island apart searching for Blaine. “Come out; come out, where ever you are.” Jake said tauntingly after lifting a car off of the ground with telekinesis. His orders were simple: Find all betrayers of Team Rocket. Jake turned at a sound knowing full well it wasn’t Blaine, but he was very cautious. He sensed a presence that he had felt before, four years ago in Celadon City. Jake turned and looked down the empty street. After a second or two he saw a pokemon that was totally white, and close to being six feet tall. He stood like a human, and spoke like a human, but was still a pokemon. Jake walked down the street. There was an eerie silence in the air, like the calm before a storm. When he’d come close enough to where he was sure his opponent could hear him, he began to speak, but was cut off. “Hello again, One-Nine.” The pokemon said coldly. “And hello to you too Two-Six.” Jake replied with a wicked grin. The pokemon’s eyes widened. “You know me?” “Of course; you are Mewtwo, The Monster of Cerulean Cave.” Jake said in an irritating tone of voice. “I was under the impression that your memory was erased before you were sent back to Slateport.” Mewtwo shifted his weight. “Yes, it was, but then it was stored on a chip in my head.” Jake lowered his guard arrogantly. “If you remember me then I suppose it would be no use to try and talk you out of helping Team Rocket.” Mewtwo raised his guard, suspecting a trap. “You were a stubborn bastard then, and you certainly haven’t improved much. Only back then you were an innocent little boy.” “Oh don’t get me wrong; all humans are evil by nature, but some have a nagging voice in their head that restrains that evil. This chip eliminates that restraint for me.” Jake explained. “Unfortunately, I’ve been sent to destroy you. The Council of Legends has deemed you too dangerous to be allowed to exist.” Mewtwo said changing the subject. Jake chuckled. “And how is it that you would be allowed to sit on the Council of Legends? You after all, are the one who would have destroyed the world on whim, simply because you couldn’t trust one man.” “And you would destroy the world on a whim, just for revenge.” Mewtwo answered. Jake’s expression changed from arrogance to anger. “It was one man! It was one man who tried to destroy me!” “It doesn’t matter. You must be eliminated.” Mewtwo responded coldly. Jake regained his arrogant expression. “Isn’t it quite ironic that they would send you to destroy the one whom you swore your brotherhood to? Let me answer that for you. It’s because they are testing your allegiance to the Council. They think that if you would destroy in the name of the Council, the only one (besides Blaine) that you can call your own blood, then you are trustworthy in their eyes.” “You’re lying.” Mewtwo’s anger was evident. “Then why didn’t they send someone else? Dialga? Palkia? Darkrai? But no; they chose you.” Jake taunted. “ENOUGH!” Mewtwo lunged at Jake, but was caught by Jake’s Vinewhips. Jake threw him six city blocks. Celadon City Four Years Ago Jake was restrained in a containment unit, across the walk way from Mewtwo. “We’ve got to get you out of here.” Jake said to Mewtwo, as a group of Rockets walked through. Jake noticed one to be about twelve years old, and was completely baffled by Mewtwo’s incomplete body. Jake sensed the boy’s fear and astonishment at the sight of Mewtwo. “Even with the Mew’s DNA, that you extracted, it’s still not enough. He’ll need to undergo a transplant of human DNA. As for the boy, I’ve transplanted his brain and the left over DNA cells from the Mew. He’ll make a full recovery, and then you may begin training him.” Blaine said from across the room to an executive. “Have you found a human candidate for DNA extraction?” The executive asked. “The only human that qualifies is me.” Blaine answered. “Why not the boy?” The Rocket motioned in Jake’s direction. “He was the first one I tested, but his DNA didn’t react well with Mewtwo’s DNA. It seems Mewtwo has developed an antibody to young Jake’s DNA. We don’t know why, but it seems Mewtwo’s DNA is Jake’s only weakness.” Blaine explained. “Begin the transplant immediately, and call me when the procedure’s finished.” The executive commanded. Three days later Mewtwo’s DNA had reacted nicely with Blaine’s DNA, and his left arm formed perfectly. “We’re ready to transport the boy back to Slateport City.” A grunt announced. “Okay. Erase his memory, and put him on the truck.” The executive answered. “They’re sendin’ me back. This is what I’m gonna do for you, but I need your help.” Jake said to Mewtwo. “One of us can’t use our abilities to crack these containers, but we can break yours together.” “What about you?” Mewtwo replied. “I’m gettin’ my memory erased, and I’m gettin’ sent back to Slateport City. That’s not bad, but I think they’ll have evil things planned for you as soon as you roll off the line. That is bad. When you get out, head for Cerulean City. There’s a cave there that will be good for you to hide in. I’ve never been there, but my dad told me all about it.” Jake said. Jake shut his eyes and concentrated. “SIR! One-Nine’s brain waves are spiking!” A female scientist shrieked. “Now Two-Six’s brain waves are spiking!” Another one yelled. The bullet-proof glass on Mewtwo’s container shattered. “Thank you Jake.” Mewtwo said. He stepped out of his container, and turned to face the Rockets that were surrounding him. He waved his hand, and they all flew back. The life-support units on Jake’s container failed, and Jake fell unconscious. Cerulean City Present Day Rose Blackthorn stood at the foot of Cable’s hospital bed. Cable had helped her and Ericka hide from Team Rocket. She felt like she owed him her life. She didn’t notice when Ben stepped into the room, and she jumped when he spoke. “He’ll be fine. His father was tough, and the boys have learned a lot from him.” Ben said before taking a sip of his coffee. “Who did it to him?” Rose asked. Her hands shook with anger. “Well, we don’t know exactly who, but it’s my guess that Jake did it.” Ben replied with a distracted look. “Jake!? This is his brother! Why would he attack his own brother!?” She asked loudly. “I don’t know, and Cable seems to think it wasn’t Jake.” Ben’s face grew serious. “And if you go after him, I’ll tell your father, and have you grounded until your twenty.” “Two years is a small price to pay for seeing that, that little murderer gets what he deserves!” Rose shrieked. “Cable isn’t dead!” Ben yelled back. “He would be, if you and Red hadn’t done something to stop him!” She retorted. Rose ran to Ben and buried her face in his chest. “It’s all my fault! Cable wanted to make sure Team Rocket didn’t know where Erika was, and I let him go.” Ben put his hand on her shoulder, “Rose, Cable would have gone whether you let him or not. He and Jake are like that. They don’t give a damn about themselves, as long as the job gets done.” Mt. Silver League of Shadows Command Center Johnny Gale slipped through the mass of people all moving through the corridors. The command center had been put on full alert, and the ninjas-in- training were sent to a bunker deep in the mountain, though Johnny had sneaked away while his sensei wasn’t looking. “C’mon Croconaw; we gotta find out what’s goin on.” He said to his faithful companion, who grunted in agreement. They kept to the shadows, to ensure that no one saw them, but every one was almost a foot and a half taller than him anyhow, so there was no worry of getting caught. “We’ll go back to the Op-Center, and find what’s going on, and then we’ll borrow a Pidgeot and find Jake. He’ll keep us safe.” Johnny concluded. They found the Op-Center in chaos. People were talking above each other, red lights were blinking, and the person in charge was trying to get control of it all. Finally when all else failed, he let out a Magneton and yelled, “Magneton, use Sonicboom!” The Magneton released a horrid screech that destroyed the wall nearest him, and in the end gained everyone’s attention. “What is our situation, as of right now?” The leader asked in a shaky voice. A female at one of the computers stood up. “Sir, we have confirmed that Giovanni is on board the Titan IV. The Cinnibar Island Police have reported that the city’s been wiped out, and now there’s a battle between a human and a psychic pokemon taking place right in the middle of the aftermath. Also, Captain Ben Cane, from the Federal Rangers, has reported that Jake Brooks has gone rogue.” “I was afraid of that.” The leader sat down in a chair close to him. “Sir, a battleship has just come in range of the mountain. It’s the Proteus.” A voice squeaked out of the crowd. “That’s Captain Banks isn’t it?” The leader sat up straight hoping he was wrong. “Yes sir, and apparently he knows we’re here.” The voice replied. Johnny turned and ran to where the flying pokemon were kept. He couldn’t believe what he’d just heard. Jake, a traitor? He had only known Jake for a couple of weeks, but he was positive Jake wasn’t a traitor. Johnny returned Croconaw to his pokeball, and ran faster. He could see it after an eternity of running. The “Bird Cage” where all of the flying type pokemon were housed. “And just what do you think you’re doing?” Kira stood across the hall way from the entrance to the cage. “Don’t try and stop me. I’m going to find Jake, and bring him back alive.” Johnny said as a tear streaked down his face. Kira walked over to Johnny, and knelt in front of the boy, which put her at eye level with him. “Johnny, it’s too dangerous. If Jake’s gone rogue, you don’t know what he’ll do. He’s probably lost his mind to want to join the Rockets.” She wiped the tear away from his cheek, but it was quickly replaced. “Besides you’re ten years old, and not strong enough to take Jake on. You’re pokemon aren’t strong enough to take on Jake’s pokemon.” She hugged Johnny. “I’m going to go with you. If he can be reasoned with, I can do that. If he can’t then I can take him by force.”
