The Happiest Days Of My Life

Part 1: Ash's Point of View

It was 7:00 in the morning when Ash's red alarm clock rang. The sun beamed through the small hotel window as Ash slowly got up out of bed. “Good morning guys...” he started to say, but then remembered that his two best friends were not traveling across the Pokemon regions with him anymore and that they were somewhere leading their own lives. Ash slowly got dressed and staggered to the small kitchen to make some breakfast for himself. Life by himself was so lonely, with no Misty or Brock by his side.

It was a couple years after Ash had finished the Pokemon league. His clear success got him fame and fortune, but he still traveled and didn't have a house of his own, even though he could surely buy a big house. Ash's goal had been accomplished by being the greatest Pokemon master in the world. Now he had new goals to start a family and buy a large house so he could relax and maybe build his own gym in Pallet Town. Ash definitely had the money to do so. He also wanted to see all his friends again.

While Ash was thinking about all this, the phone rang. Wondering who it was, Ash picked up the white phone.

Hello?”

Is that you Ash?”

Who is this?”

This is Brock! I sure am glad to talk to you again, How long has it been?”

Brock!!! It's so great that you called.”

Well, I called you to tell you some great news!”

What is it?”

Misty is getting married!”

Ash's heart shattered into a million pieces.

She getting married?” he said in a quiet voice.

Yes. Isn't that great? And she's wondering if you would come home for the celebration.”

I would love to, but I didn't even know she had a boyfriend.”

I didn't either until she told me. You'll meet him today him you start heading over right now.”

Where is the wedding?”

Her sister's gym in Cerulean City.”

Yeah, sure I can make it there in a couple hours.”

Okay, talk to you later. Bye!”

Bye, Brock.”

As Ash hung up the phone, a million things ran though his head. Why did she have to get a boyfriend? Why didn't she ask someone she already knew? Why didn't she ask me? If Ash married Misty, he would have the perfect life already. But now, there was no chance.

Go Alakazam!” Ash cried as he stood outside the hotel, which he got the so called good news from, with his beloved Pikachu. “Alakazam, I need you to teleport me to Cerulean City please.” In about three seconds, Ash was outside the gym where Misty and her sisters currently lived. When he stepped inside, he got a HUGE greeting. “Welcome back, Ash!” Everyone cried as Ash walked though the water themed gym. It was just like it used to be when he was traveling. “Ash, good to see you!” Brock announced, giving Ash a pat on the back. “Oh, Ash. I saw you on the news last night. Great battle!” Said his mom and Professor Oak. “Good to see you guys too. Where's Misty?” Ash said a little anxiously. “She's going to be here in about five minutes. She's just getting breakfast with Josh.”exclaimed Brock. “Who's Josh?” Ash asked. “Her fiancé.” Who would have guessed? Ash thought to himself.

Misty finally arrived with Josh. Josh looked so handsome and proper compared to Ash. Maybe that's why Misty likes him. Ash thought. “Ash, it's so great to see you.” Misty exclaimed, giving Ash a big friendly hug. Ash though Misty looked pretty today in a blue lacy top, dark denim jeans, and bright blue pointy toed heels. “Misty, you look so pretty today.” May complemented. “Where did you get that top?” “Oh, Josh gave it to me.” said Misty. She then looked up at Josh and giggled. “And who might you be?” Josh asked Ash. “Oh, I'm Ash, one of Misty's best friends.”Ash said, shaking Josh's hand. “That's dandy. Well, I will get to know you a bit better when we sit down for lunch.”Said Josh.

Lunch was a Josh's house. He lived a little ways away from Cerulean City in a big mansion. His house was Misty's future home. Ash learned that Josh was the owner of the Safari Zone and that's why he had so much money. He could buy Misty anything that she would have ever dreamed of. Ash could buy Misty expensive things too, but he didn't even have a job. Josh was also very neat and tidy and wore proper clothes. Ash just felt comfy in his sneakers, jeans, and baseball cap and when it came to being neat, Ash was not one of the those people. The guests all had chicken and calamari on silver fancy plates while the Pokemon had gourmet Pokemon food. Misty could be treated like a princess with Josh around. After lunch, Misty wanted to talk to Ash and Brock about what they had been doing after the three of them split to go their own separate ways. “Well, I have basically been traveling all over and have caught every Pokemon there is in the world. I battle in tournaments too. I kind of have gotta famous because of it, but I want to build a gym in Pallet Town.” Ash explained. “I met Josh a few weeks after we split up. He came to the gym to ask us if we would be a sponsor to the Safari Zone. We became fast friends. We had been dating for two years when he finally asked me to marry him.” Misty looked right at Ash, but he turned away. “I'm so glad you guys could make it for the ceremony! My two best friends get to see me get married!” “Do you still work at the gym?” Brock asked. “Yes, as the Gym Leader.”Misty said. “I will be working there even when I move into Josh's house. It's wonderful isn't it?” “ Umm... yeah, sure.” Mumbled Ash. “So Brock, what are you doing?” “Well, the Pewter City gym is owned by someone else now. My father is retired, so I built a Pokemon Day Care with the money I earned from the gym. My dream finally came true. I'm a Pokemon breeder.” “That's great! I feel happy for both of you.” Ash quietly said. “Let's go talk to the other guests.”
