Hi, readers! Thanks for reading our fic. We have gotten some feed backs, from-you know who you are. (To lazy to list people). Anyways, we are having much fun writing this thing and we hope that you guys will have fun reading it. (The keyword in this sentence is hope.) Okay, enough blabbering, here is part four.

Blastoise's Notes: Sorry for the major delay, my computer won't let me go on the net for some reasons, but it is fix now. Thank you for you patients, we're working on part 5 and it is almost done.

-----The Tall Elm Tree-----

“Misty, is that you?” Ash asks puzzled while looking down at the person under the tree. Yes, it is Misty. “What are you doing up so late?”

Misty notices Ash is calling her and climb up the Tall Elm Tree, sitting next to him on a strong branch. “Oh, nothing, just can’t sleep, that’s all.”

Ash resumes his gaze at the cloudless sky, staring aimlessly at the full moon, absolutely captured by the magnificent sight. Then he reverts his gaze to Misty, who’s also staring at the darkened sky full of bright stars.

Ash blurts out his question. “Why you can’t sleep?” Ash watches joyfully as he sees Misty blush, even though he doesn’t know why she did it.

“I, I was thinking about, stuff…” Misty never took her eyes off the starts, which is shining so bright. Misty dangles her feet as she wait patiently for Ash’s reply on the Tall Elm Tree.

        “What are you thinking about?”

There was complete silence, then… “I was thinking about…you and Giselle…” Misty realizes there is jealousy and anger in her tone, but she did a good job of masking it with a false cough.

Giselle is currently a very close friend of Ash, and they decided to go out on a date tomorrow. Ash is very happy about this, because he likes Giselle very much; on the other hand, Misty is not very pleased.

“Are you… jealous?” Ash smiles broadly to see Misty blush again. Ash continues looking at her waiting for the reply. After what seems like perpetuity of time had slipped by, Ash gave up waiting and resumes his stare up at the sky.

“To tell you the truth,” Misty all of a sudden said, “I kinda am. I just missed hanging out with you on this tree, you know?”

The tree Misty is referring is the tree they’re sitting on right now. It is call The Tall Elm Tree because it is a, well, tall elm tree. Misty and Ash used to always hangout on the tree, talking and joking. They also used to forbid Duplica and Ritchie onto the tree, saying it is a special place just for both of them. Duplica and Ritchie got fed up and sang an oh-so-familiar song… “Ash and Misty, sitting on a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!”

“I’m sorry,” That’s all Ash could say, lowering his head to look down at the ground that seems so far away in the darkness. “I…”

Saying the exact opposite of her mind, Misty said, “It’s alright,” with a final tone is her voice, ending the conversation. But Ash doesn’t want it to end…

“When I saw you under the elm tree, for a second there, I though you were the deans.” Ash said to the uninterested Misty by his side.

“What are you doing up so late?” Misty ignore Ash’s question and asks him one of her own.

“The room is too hot, I can’t sleep.” Ash lied, and it would sound a lot better saying, “I can’t stop thinking about you.”

They grow in silence for a long time, as if they’re waiting for something. Occasionally, they would take their stare off the sky and steal a glance at the person next to them.

“Am I being a good friend?” Ash suddenly asks.

Misty is a little surprised by Ash’s sudden question. “Of course! I really consider you as my best, uh, guy friend.” Misty said. She thought about saying, “Best boyfriend,” but it probably would sound weird.

“If I am such a good friend, how come you are ignoring me lately?” Ash asks with a hurt expression in his voice.

“I am not ignoring you!” Misty said angrily. Ash rolls his eyes, looking at the Water trainer next to him. “Why do you even care?” Misty replies again, looking at Ash.

“Uh, maybe it’s because you’re my friend? So, why?” Ash said sarcastically, rolling his eyes.

        “…”

Sensing that Misty doesn’t want to talk about it anymore, keep on asking won’t do any good. “Come on, it’s late, let’s go back.” Ash suggested after a while as he climbs down the tree. Misty silently agrees with him and climbs down, wishing that they had stay up there a little longer.

-----Pokemon Trainer’s School / Dorm-----

“Going on a date?” Ritchie asks Ash.

“Yep, with Giselle,” Ash smiles, then he asks, ”Which one?” Holding up a blue and a white T-shirt.

“Who cares?” Ritchie said, exiting the room.

Ash put on the blue T-shirt, ignoring his friend’s rudeness. He opens the closet door to look at himself in the mirror. The mirror made him wince, flinch and scream the same time. In the mirror, there are two Ashes.

“Duplica!” Ash whirls around furiously, looking at a mirror image of himself. “Will you stop that!? You scare the crap outta me!”

“Sorry,” Duplica answers, mimicking Ash’s voice, it’s an opportunity that’s too good to give up.” Duplica also mimics Ash’s smiles, from ear to ear.

Ash calms down as the shock passes, “Just don’t do that to me anymore. Better yet, do that to somebody else.” Ash said with an evil smile on his face.

“Trust me, I will.” Duplica said, also with an evil grin, exiting the room.

Ash grabs the wallet from his drawer and stuff it in his pant pockets, hearing a high-pitched scream from the room next door. The scream is code for: Duplica has strike again.

“I gotta be on Dupiica’s good side all the time, or I might just get heart attacks one of these days.” Ash said, checking his clothing one more time, then he exits his room to meet Giselle for their date.

-----Viridian City / Chansey’s Café-----

“Did you like the movie?” Giselle asks Ash, who’s sitting directly in front of her. They are in the famous Chansey’s Café, where most Pokemon Trainer’s School students hang out during the weekends. They sat at a small table at the corner of the café.

“Yeah, did you see how he fly to catch up with that Areodactyl? That was extreme!” Ash went on and on with the movie’s action scene, using hand gestures to imitate them.

Giselle smiles at Ash’s ‘humor’, sipping at her own cappuccino. “You know, the romance part is not that bad.”

“Yeah it is! It’s too horny!” Ash almost shouts, attracting some attention from the nearby tables, earning weird glances from them. Ash scratches the back of his head embarrassedly.

Giselle giggles at Ash’s antics, but then her smile fades as if she remembers something dreadful.

Ash notices this instantaneously, becoming very concerned, he asks politely, “Are you okay? What’s the matter?”

“You know the dance on next week?”

“Yeah?” Ash smiles. There is a dance next week for Pokemon Trainer’s School students only. If everything goes well between him and Giselle, he’ll ask her to the dance.

“Somebody already asked me to the dance.” Giselle said shortly, looking at her cappuccino. She gets the straw and swirl the liquid, waiting for Ash’s reply.

“What did you say?” Ash asks slowly, looking at her.

“Since I didn’t know if you were going to the dance,” Giselle said, trying her best to avoid Ash’s gaze, “I said yes…”

“Do you want to go with him?”

        “Yes…”

Ash felt as if a knife had struck into his heart. He can’t believe it! The first girl he truly liked double-timed him, or sort of. Ash’s face is drenched in disbelieve and hurt.

        “So…”

“I got to go!” Ash said firmly before Giselle even finished her sentence and storm out of the café. Ignoring Giselle’s apologies and the crowd’s curiosity, Ash ran all the way back to the school, without looking back…

-----Pokemon Trainer’s School / Campus-----

“I did what you wanted, now pay up.” Giselle sticks her hand out tiredly.

“You did an excellent job,” The stranger hand her an envelope.

Giselle walks away in a silencing regret. I didn’t even want to do this. It’s my fault entirely, I am sorry, Ash.

-----Pokemon Trainer’s School / The Tall Elm Tree-----

Ash sat on the branch of the tree, watching the beautiful sunset. His heart isn’t in it though. Scratching Pikachu’s fur lazily, Ash can’t stop wondering, why don’t I feel sad? Am I supposed to feel depress?

“Forget about her.” Pikachu said in its Poke-language, “You don’t even like her.” Pikachu continues on.

“Yes I do!” Ash shouts out, scaring the air out of a Pidgey who’s flying by. “I did…” Ash’s voice softens as he watches a person walking toward them.

Pikachu watches Misty climbs on the tree, “That’s my cue,” Pikachu said in Poke-language as he jumps down the tree and dash into the school grounds.

“The sunset is beautiful, isn’t it?” Misty wonders aloud.

“You didn’t just come here to watch the sunset with me, did you?” Ash said as he takes his gaze off the sun and gawk at Misty, who has her hair down. After meeting Misty and having her as a friend, this is the first time he ever saw Misty with her hair down, aside from his dream. “Y-your hair’s down.”

“You don’t like it?” Misty feels the heat rises at her cheek, feeling Ash’s eyes burn into her.

“Uh, I think you look very nice with your hair down.” Ash gulp, trying not the stutter. Heck, he has to grab to tree from falling down of it.

“Thank you. Did I have my hair down in your dreams?” Misty inquires happily, pleased with all the attention from Ash.

“Rarely…” Ash sighs as he return his gaze at the sun.

“Heard about you and Giselle, sorry.”

“It’s okay, I don’t feel that bad anyways.”

They sat there watching the sun descents slowly, into the wide mountain ranges. When the sunset is over, Misty climbs down the tree, leaving Ash by himself.

Feeling something is missing in that precise moment, Ash looks at Misty’s back and smiles. Ash jumps down the tree and runs after her, “Wait for me!”

Misty turns, looks back, and sticks her tong out, taunting Ash; a chase had begun. Ash runs full speed after Misty, gaining on her. After pinning down Misty on the ground, Ash starts to tickle her.

Misty laughs and laughs until tears come out of her eyes, “Stop! Your shoe is on fire!”

Ash stops tickling her and looks at his shoe, only thing is, his shoe is not on fire. Misty takes her opportunity and get free of his grip and run.

“Come back here!” Ash raises his fists as he chases after Misty.

Three figures watched behind the bushes. “Ah, young love.” Jessie said, as if she is showing much professionalism. James and Meowth looked on, having no clue what is happening.

To Be Continued

Aki Akito: That’s part 4. It’s kinda weird.

Blastoise: Hey! Don’t blame me! I wrote this when it was two in the morning!

Aki Akito: What are you doing up the whole night?

Blastoise: Playing video games.

Aki Akito: Anyway, review us ‘cause we’re not psychics and we can’t tell what you guys are thinking.

Blastoise: And when you beat this game, there is a really cool cut-scene…

Aki Akito: You don’t want to hear Blastoise talk about video games, trust me. Alright, see you readers later.
