================================================================================ The Awakened Monster - A Transformation Beyond All Before ================================================================================ Part 2 - Just Another Day The birds tweetered in his ear and he opened his eyes to the bright morning sun. "Aargh." Ash groaned and covered his head. "Wakey, wakey, sleephead." Ash ignored and just went on sleeping. "All right, hit Pikachu!" At Pikachu's name, he jumped out and away from the bed, unfortunately the bed was a step higher than he had expected and fell flat on his face. The sound of a familiar laughter angered him slightly. He pulled the blanket from his head to see the carrot top on the floor almost spilling her guts from laughing so hard. "Ha, ha, very funny scrawny." At Ash's frequent nickname for her, she got up and pulled out a bucket of ice cold water. He begged for forgiveness but the sound of a scream ringing throughout Pallet Town suggested her refusal. Heat, need hot shower, was all Ash could think about as he had jumped into the shower at Professor Oak's lab. The whole gang that had left late last night had shown up quite early at the lab. Of course, when Delilah and Brock caught sight of Misty sneaking into the bedroom that Ash was sleeping in, they knew trouble was brewing. The scream of Ash, which was more like a screech of pidgeot in the morning, was not unexpected. The other adults were quickly given the explaination of the crisis by Delilah, so all was well. "First off, Professor Oak and I have been discussing a plan all night. A-." "Is that why you look so tired honey." "Yes, well anyways. After careful observation and distinction of the creature, we think that this is a different pokemon than the one that killed..." He looked to Delilah and lowered his head and continued. "He, I mean, it seems to have weird scars on its arms that the only think I can think of would be a rank. As in military status." "Kevin is correct. The creature can speak, it has at least that much intelligence which suggests that it has more humanoid abilities and not to mention pokemon abilities as well. This creature is more than we can handle alone. I have already contacted the rest of the pokemon society and they are going to coordinate a special task force to kill the pokemon. Even though its a pokemon it is a danger to us all and we can't take that chance. After all, my lab and the entire Indigo Plateau was damaged by it." Tracey popped his head and huffed. "Professor, Professor, you'd better come take a look at this. I can't believe it myself but there are ten Officer Jennys that are going to arrest the pokemon on tv." "What?!" Everyone crowded around the tv as the news camera zoomed in from the helicopter at the base of the indigo stadium. "It seems like the calavry has arrived." Said the newsperson. "Ten Elite Officer Jennys were sent here from the pokemon society to capture this insane pokemon and detain it for the time being." The scene shifted back to the pokemon. "It seems like all the Officer Jennys are going to battle it." The camera focused as ten growlithes attacked the pokemon at once, but surprisingly, it just batted them away with its arms and they fainted after impacting the ground. "What an extraordinary power. It usually takes a rhydon at least a dozen blows before a growlithe is fainted and this creature seems to be strong enough to do it and yet its size is about half as tall as a rhydon." It turned its head towards the camera and its dark eyes sent chills. "Where could this monstrous pokemon have come from?" The pokemon looked upon the Jennys and sent a giant firespin attack at them, knocking them away into the buildings across the street. It looked straight at the camera. "Where are my challengers where are the pokemon masters?" It hissed. "Where are the chosen ones?! You mere humans cannot contemplate my powers and you cannot beat me, I want to battle with them. I want to battle with your strongest! I want your chosen ones!" His rage rose and he sent out all different attacks in every direction. The camera died again. "Professor, did you see that?" Eric mumbled completely stunned. "Well, of course I did!" His eyes were wide, in total surprise no doubt. "This can't be, I've seen but it can't be." "Professor?" Tracey questioned. He shook his head and gathered his thoughts. "This event has given me something to think about, I need to do research. Don't bother me with questions now. I know what is happening." He looked spaced out, and mumbled. "I just can't accept this." Everyone looked at him. He looked at them and sighed. "You guys need to start training. The time to act is going to start very soon, I'm going to need you to train like you've never trained before, you pokemon must be in the top physical and mental shape if we intend to protect our world, I'm going to contact the pokemon society and tell them to prepare their own teams, right now...all we can do is wait and hope that it doesn't act angry. Now, move it!" Every stood shocked but quickly nodded and decided to take the advice of their mentor and friend. After all of them had left, he dropped on to the couch and sighed. "This maybe one battle that we won't win." He covered his face with his hand and shook his head. "I'm sorry Zero, even with all my knowledge I don't think I can save us like you did." He took one long breathe and walked towards the room of the ancient archives. Outside the lab, they just stood looking at the door. "Well, that weird, what the heck is the Professor thinking anyways." He turned and stared at Gary. "Don't look at me, I've never seen him at so strange before." "Great." "Okay guys, even though the Professor is not himself today, you heard what he said. We need to start training our pokemon and that's what we have to do." Stated Delilah. "You have pokemon mom?" "Well, of course, you didn't think I just work on my garden all day do you?" He scratched his head. "Well, of course not." "Well, let's see how the D.A. of Pallet's pokemon are doing. How about a match D.A.?" Asked Wendy with her hands on a pokeball. "D.A.?" Questioned the younger generation. "Its a her initials but we called her because she was always questioning everyone about everything and that she had fake handcuffs which she would handcuff someone if she suspected they did something wrong. Almost always she was wrong. Almost meaning, she caught Zero when he left the store without it having the tag taken off and handcuffed him." He chuckled. "And that's how she met him." He laughed some more before he was taken down by a mysteriously flying mallet that came out of nowhere. "Oh my, I wonder where that came from?" Delilah said with her hand on her mouth and looking in all different directions. "Hey Brock, I have a funny feeling I've seen this somewhere before." Asked Tracy. "Yes, I know what you mean, its really familiar and its on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember what its from." "Hey, D.A. Are you going to battle or what?" "I'm not the same person from sixteen years ago. And I'm not an Annanasterson anymore so you can't call me that and I'll show you what Delilah KETCHUM can do!" "Geez, what a weir-long name that is." Kimi stated. "So, you would have been Ash Annanasterson if your mom hadn't married your dad." Everyone laughed except Ash who was angry. "Shut up Kimi." "Wait, if I'm fifteen and mom's thirty-one, then she was only a year older than me so isn't it illegal to get married without your parents consent?" "Its not if you're in Vegas." Brock stated. "Quiet Brock." Misty said with his ear in her hand. "Yeah, how and when did you and Zero get married?" Penny asked. "We eloped, okay! Its not like my marriage lasted as long as the honeymoon either!" "Ugh, I don't want to hear this." Ash groaned. "But that is how you were made Ashy." Delilah stated. "Wait, is that why you and Zero were late when we were attacked?" "Well, it was our honeymoon after all." She said tapping her fingers together. She stopped and looked up. "Why am I telling you all this anyways? Its none your business." She blushed embarrassed for the first time in a long time, everyone laughed except for Kevin. "Hey, is there going to battle or are we going to reminisence all day?" Kevin yelled. "You heard what the Professor said! We don't have much time and we need to train. One extra battle might help tip the scale to beat that monster pokemon! We might need every pokemon in our arsenal and with all that, even one pokemon is important to us in this fight!" He took a deep breath and sighed. "Now, begin!" "Yes, go!" ________________________________________________________________________________ So, how was it? Still waiting for comments or whatever.
