================================================================================ The Awakened Monster - A Transformation Beyond All Before ================================================================================ Part 3 - The mystery is uncovered --- "Long ago, in a time far far away, there was a war, the war that was the biggest war there ever was. There were two sides, the Deemons and Tenmons, they battled and battled and battled for so many years that everyone forgot they were in a war because everyday was a fight for freedom because the Deemons wanted to control everything while the Tenmons wanted freedom for the Ningen. As the war was coming to a close, the Tenmon were going to lose but something happened that changed the Tenmons's chance. A Mysterious man appeared from out of nowhere and helped the Tenmons fight back. In the end, the Tenmons sealed up the Deemons and left to never return because they didn't want to remember the bloody war. After that, little creatures called pokemon began to appear." "What happened to the Mysterious man?" "Well, no one knows for sure. He just disappeared, but this is something to remember him by. Do you know what the pokemon league sign is?" "Yes, ma'am. It looks like an L." "That's right. The mysterious man wore a weird hat with the same symbol and that's how the pokemon league got its name because the mysterious man had pokemon with him which no one else had at that time and they used it because they had never seen pokemon before." "Sammy, Sammy! Come out! Let's go play pokemon master!" "Is it okay grandma?" "Sure, go ahead but come back before dinner." "Okay, bye." "So, you want to be the pokemon master?" "No, I'm going to be the researcher." Stated Sammy. --- Professor Oak woke up and wiped the drool from his mouth. He looked at the clock, it was ten in the evening. "Oi, I must have feel asleep. Now where was I?" He recalled his dream and suddenly got an idea. He headed out the door and towards the local library. Later that day, Tracey and Kimi had decided to go in and check on the Professor's progress like Eric had instructed. Samuel, was well into his work, the story and pieces from other artifacts had confirmed the truth. "Well, Tracey, Kimi, you're just in time, call everyone here, I have an idea on what's going on around here." The group gathered around the living room, while Professor Oak had prepared a few items on the table before them. "Gee, Professor, what's all this about? Did you really find out what this is all about?" "Of course he did you! Gramps is a genius after all, if anyone can figure out what that monster is, he can." "Well, I didn't say he couldn't!" "Be quiet!" The Professor shouted. The two rivals looked away from each other. "Now, what you're about to hear cannot leave this room. It is very important that this remain a secret until the time that I see fit that it be revealed." He grabbed a very colorful book from the items on the table, which it really stuck out because it didn't really match any of the old stone tablets with weird writings on them. "Ash, when you mentioned the name Deemon, where did you hear it from?" "I don't know, it just popped into my head after I saw that weird pokemon." "Well, its very good of you to remember such an important detail as that because I'm going to read to you." He opened the book, it still crackled a little as if it was a new book yet it looked very old. " Long ago, in a time far far away, there was a war, the war that was the biggest war there ever was. There were two sides, the DEEMONS and Tenmons, they battled and battled and battled for so many years that everyone forgot they were in a war because everyday was a fight for freedom because the Deemons wanted to control everything while the Tenmons wanted freedom for the Ningen. As the war was coming to a close, the Tenmon were going to lose but something happened that changed the Tenmon's chance. A Mysterious man appeared from out of nowhere and helped the Tenmons fight back. In the end, the Tenmons sealed up the Deemons and left to never return because they didn't want to remember the bloody war. After that, little creatures called pokemon began to appear." He closed the book and looked at them. "So, the deemons in the story is..." Kevin deviated, unsure of his answer. "They, are the monster pokemon. Also, I've finally figured it out." "Figured what out?" "That the existence of pokemon did not originate on our world. They are aliens from another dimension." "What?!" The group questioned with bugging eyes and mouths to the floor. "Yes, I'm sure of it. Because of the recent increases of different species of pokemon." He took a minute to take a deep breath. "Thirty some years ago. The number of different species of pokemon was only numbered to 100 but then just fifteen years ago, we found that fifty other species existed, then just three years ago, 100 new species were found, and just last year, another 100 species was added. I believe that the number of pokemon has been gradually increasing steadily in shorter intervals, I believe it maybe that the portals of the pokemon dimensions are unable to keep back maybe an infinite number of pokemon. That is why I think that this deemon pokemon and the one from before are connected to the opening of the portals." "But Professor, if the pokemon portals were stable before thirty some years ago, why are they opening now?" "That I do not know yet but I do know, that if we don't stop whatever is causing this eruption, we maybe looking at another hundred different species of pokemon in half a year or so. And eventually, the pokemon will overrun our planet and consume everything in their path." "Not to mention, that those sealed deemon pokemon will once again try to control us humans again." "Yes Ash, that is a very good point. And that's why I had you train. I knew something like this would come someday but I never expected it be within my lifetime." "So what can we do?" "Nothing. yet. Right now, your job is to stop that Deemon pokemon. I'll continue my research to see what I can do to help." "Okay, since the Professor is doing his job, we need to do ours. All right team, its time to face off that Deemon pokemon. Let's move it, move it!" But nobody moved. "Give it up Kevin. We just came back from training. We need to rest first and besides, who made you leader?" "Well, since I'm the oldest and the most experienced in pokemon battles, I thought it would be obvious." "Yeah right, like you're a master. I should be the one since I am a master!" Gary stated. "Are you challenging me for the leadership?" "I am the leader!" The two were about to face off when Penny and Professor Oak grabbed the ears of the two high and mighty men and sat them down. "Hey, anybody up for some burgers and fries?" Ash asked as he got up. "Heh, always thinking about your stomach." Delilah and Misty stated before everyone began to laugh at Ash. "Well, like he suggested, we could go for some lunch." Wendy said, after calming from laughter. Professor Oak watched as everyone left for a nearby diner. "One minute they're facing the end of the world, the next, they're having lunch. What a weird group this is." Unexpectedly, lunch became dinner as the group spent the day talking about random things, laughing at old memories, arguing about others, it was fun day in Ash's opinion. He sat down on the back porch like his usual routine when he was home. The memories of his travels and conquests and defeats came at him and he smiled at those fond and happy memories even if some were sad. His mother joined him in the stargazing and he hugged her and she put his head in her lap and brushed the hair covering his eyes. "Its been a while since we've done this. You've grown so much in these past five years. I almost don't see that young boy anymore, just a young man who's making his own way into the wide world." Tears formed in her eyes but she quickly wiped them away. "Don't worry mom, I'll always be here for you. I promise." There was a loud clanging sound and he looked towards the kitchen window to see a group dispersing from it with haste. "Those guys." "Eeeekk!" A scream was heard from the side. "Kill it, kill it, kill it!" Misty appeared from the side with a pokemon in tow. It jumped at her but was swiftly knocked away by her mallet before she hide behind a tree. "Geez." Ash got up and walked over to the fallen pokemon, a bug, obviously. He didn't recognize this breed and took out his pokedex but it also wasn't registered. He touched it but quickly withdrew as the portion of its body twitched. He slowly approached it again and calmly rubbed the pokemon. A few moments later, it opened its eyes and jumped onto him. "Whoa, hey." He crawled onto his shoulder and onto his head. "Hey, stop that, it tickles. Well, it looks like you're fine but I'd better take you to Professor Oak just in case and also see what you are." He took out a pokeball and it immediately jumped onto it, capturing it. "Well, that wasn't too much trouble." "Is it gone?" Misty said, peeking out. "Yep, its gone." She sighed. "Right into the pokeball." "WHAT?!" She screamed. She looked at his hand and there was indeed a pokeball. "Ash Ketchum, how can you capture that thing when it almost tried to bite my leg, I want you to get rid of it this instant!" "Why should I? It didn't look that dangerous. Well, I'm tired, see ya." He walked into the house. "Well, it is pretty late, almost eleven o'clock. Why don't we turn in too." === The days passed as the group trained for the battle. The announcements on the news grew more terrorfying. Many challengers came and all were lucky enough to be pitied by the Deemon so it didn't kill them but just yesterday, another challenger lost. But the trainer was arrogant and he spewed out words that angered the monster. On that day, he no longer existed in the world. "This is shocking news! T-" Kevin turned off the television. "This is terrible!" Delilah stated. "What are we going to do?" "Fight." Ash said getting up from the couch. "We can't wait any longer." "Ash is right." Gary stated, getting up also. "We need to act, and we need to act now! I'm with you Ash, let's kick that deemon's ass!" "No!" Eric stood up angrily. "We can't win against it, not yet!" "But I know I can-." Eric interrupted. "Stop it! Don't even dream that you can take on that thing on. Its pointless. THIS IS POINTLESS! No matter how strong our pokemon get right now, we are still three thousands years to early to be challenging it. And it knows it too." He knelt down and hit the floor with his fist. "We can't win, we just can't." Wendy knelt down to comfort him while the group stayed quiet. Kevin gave a long sigh. "Its true." "What!?" "What he said is true. Even at the level we're at, we can't beat it. I saw it, and I knew it. The deemon thirty years ago was probably on a tenth of the level of that Deemon. We were barely able to win against it last time, I don't think we can do this time. Its hopeless." Every dropped their heads, their faith was riding on Kevin, even if they said it wasn't, it was on him, he was the oldest and the most experienced trainer they had ever met. "Weak." Ash muttered. "You guys are all just weak!" "Ash Ketchum!" Delilah yelled. "Even though you're all grown ups, you're still as weak as little children." He said harshly. "If you won't stop it, then I will!" He ran out of the lab. Brock tried to stop him but knew he had to let him go. "I'm going. If Ash has enough courage to face that beast, then so do I!" Gary stated. "He is right, all of us are weak." "Yes, but. We are weak but he also forgot that together, we are strong." Misty said and walked after Ash. Gary followed, Brock joined shortly with Tracey and Kimi also. Professor Oak walked into the living room to find the children gone. "Where's the kids." "They're going after it." Kevin stated. "Professor, contact the pokemon society. Tell them to get their teams ready. We're facing that deemon this afternoon." They were shocked to hear him say such a thing. "I know it seems rash but Ash there. He reminds me of Zero completely. The same stubborness and courage, with him, I began to believe again. We may or may not have a chance but we have to face it anyways, I won't just cower to that Deemon. Everybody with me?" "All right!" Wendy said jumping up. "We'll do it!" Delilah said. "It isn't like we have anything better to do anyways." Eric said getting up. "Let's go." Penny added. "Yeah." Kevin looked at the Professor. "Tell them that we challenge it at six o'clock. Whether or not they're there. We will commence our assault on that Deemon." The group left after Ash. Misty and Gary had finally caught up with Ash and told him that they were going to join him, the rest of the group arrived after a while also. He smiled as the six of them gathered and it widened as the five grownups appeared also. Well, they're off. And so am I. Until next time. Also, if you didn't know. Kimi is a character in pokemon season 6, which hasn't started yet but I just added her in because this is kind of in the future. I don't know her character because she hasn't starred in the anime. So bear with me as I make up her characteristics and *Ahem* write down her measurements. j/k. Please do not pay any attention to the previous sentence. Comments, suggestions, etc... Email me. See ya.
