Shadow just got up as Ash gave back the vest to him, a picture frame drooped out of his pack as Togipi picked it up.

Misty took it as she studied it as Shadow put on his vest.

          “Who is that?” asked Misty as Shadow snatched it away, blushing as he put it away.

          “It’s……. this is all I have to remember her by…” he sniffed as he wiped away some tears, shouldering his pack and sending out

his Charizard, climbing onto him.

          “But who is it…” persisted Misty as the other girl sent out her Fearow.

          “She …….. she is my mother, the only one I can remember!” he replied as he flew off, somewhat out annoyed, Ash was about shock Shadow but the girl, Chara, shook her head and spoke.

          “He needs to return to Pallet, he forgot some things, anyway

I’m the gym leader , the sixth one in the Gerin region.” She replied as Gary was about to ask.

          “We will talk about that after we find him.” She replied, winking at them, riding towards Shadow. After Shadow lost sight of the others, he landed down and took out his picture and looked at his mother. He silently cried….

Flashback

          A young boy cried as his mother’s pulse was slowly falling.

The doctors spoke to the head servant, explaining that they had tried everything, but …

          “He has already lost his father and his aunt… this will brake his heart.” replied the servant, as the mother held her young son’s hand, shushing him.

          “Remember that you should never use the family’s ESP for evil, always remember this, and always respect everyone, treat all Pokemon, young and small, no matter what they look like... (heavy breathing) … always treat anything with respect and treasure and nuture yourself, others, and your ESP… be good …” she said as she went into the final stage of accoma.

          He sniffed and placed a small flower in his picture as he suddenly turned toward the sound, Chaka trying to be silent as he gained up his powers.

          “I’m sorry, I won’t…”

          “It’s okay, you didn’t mean me harm.” He replied as he gazed into her… wait I know her! You’re that … and you are ……they mentally thought but they were interrupted by Ash, Misty, and Brock as they stopped.

          “Okay, we have one question, what is your name?” panted Ash as Shadow sent out his Charizard.

          “My name is Harino Taku Guirno, but you can call me Shadow,” he laughed as they all ran towards Pallet.
