Misty: 17 Gary: 17 Drew: 18 Ash: 17 Sara: 15 Paige: 13 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Misty’s View Misty stared through her window. What is so great about me anyway? And why are three guys falling for me? Gary was the annoying (and obsessive!) kind of guy. Drew was sweet and caring, but obnoxious. Ash is my best friend. Then he developed a crush on me. I sigh. Gary was coming over today, and was bringing his little sister, Paige. Gary always hung around Sara. He would always tell Sara about me and how much he liked me. I always hang with Paige, to get away from Gary. Ugh! And when Ash would come over, we would have fun until I notice Ash staring at me. And I never really see Drew. We text a lot. Then Drew wrote “I love you” in a text and sent it to me. Oh, that’s the doorbell. Another day of Gary. Ugh! Sara’s View Yes, Gary I know you like Misty! It’s not the first time you’ve said it!, I think to myself. I’m about to explode. Every time he comes to our house, he will pull me away from everybody else and talk about my sister. Every time! And if I don’t go with him, he’ll get into another one of his pouts. He’s not 6! “She’s so hot. But she’d never go out with me! Do you think she would?” Gary asked. NO! NO GARY!, I want to scream. Instead, I walk inside the house. I see what Paige and Misty are doing. They’re looking at one of those name generators. Apparently, it’s about the tenth one, Paige tells me. I sigh. I wish Drew was here instead of Gary. He’s real nice to me. And I heard he was a good cook. But I think Misty went into a sort of shock after he sent that text. But Gary?! Here?! Heck, he doesn’t even know I told Misty that he likes her! But, isn’t it kind of obvious? “Oh, Sara, there you are! Well, do you think she’d go out with me?” Gary asked. “No-” I look at Gary. He’s sagging in his chair. “No way she wouldn’t go out with you.” “You’re just saying that.” Well, then why’d he ask? Oh, thank goodness, I see his parents’ car parked in our driveway. I wave goodbye. I made it through another day of Gary. Misty’s View “Ash Ketchum, stop looking at me!” I finally scream. We’re in his tree house chatting away. But now everything is silent. “I-I wasn’t, just, um, you’re uh, you-” he stuttered. I got up to leave. This happened every time! Every time I tried to hang out with him, he stared at me. It was awkward! Oh, look! A text from Drew. Even more awkward. Wait, he was here too?! Oh, yeah, the Ketchum’s WERE having a get-together today. And Drew must’ve got invited. And if Gary was out in the backyard…..Oh shit. “I-I have to go to the-the, umm,” “The bathroom?” Ash asked carefully. “Uh, yeah.” Misty stuttered, and ran away. She ran into the Ketchum’s backyard, Ash on her heels. Oh, no it was too late. Sara’s View I was surrounded. Drew and Gary were arguing. Over what, you may ask? My sister. Ash ran into the group. “Why are you guys fighting? This is a party, not a wrestling match!” he yelled, then saw me in the middle of them. He smirked. “Why are you guys interrogating her? That’s my job.” Ash said. I hate that boy. “I like Misty!” “No, I do!” “Wait, you both like Misty?! Make way for her number one fan!” three voices yelled. I banged my head against Misty. “Let’s go,” I whispered. We quietly walked away. “Wait!” Gary grabbed Misty’s and I’s arms. “If we like all of you,” Gary said slowly, “who do you like?” Misty was in shock again. “Igottago,” Misty said hurriedly, and ran back into the house, her cell phone falling on the ground. Misty’s View Oh, but I didn’t stop there. I ran all the way home. I made Sara go back for my bike, which I had left there on accident. Choosing one of the boys was like choosing the culprit in a crime you didn’t see. I decided to change my outfit. I was going to go to the lake, and I didn’t want to wear nice clothes. I put on my jeans. I was taking off my shirt when someone knocked on my door. “Who is it?” I asked. “It’s a surprise.” Ahh, Sara. “Come in,” I said, knowing it was Sara, and she didn’t care how I looked. “Yeah, hey Misty, I-WHOA!” “Sara, could you wait a sec-WHOA!” I stood there, topless into the eyes of Gary. It took me a few minutes to regain my senses. Ah, here they were. “WHOA?! WHOA?! IS THAT ALL YOU CAN SAY?! WHAT HAPPENED TO SAYING WHO IT WAS? YOU KNOW THAT SARA ONLY SAYS THAT!” “Well, if I said it was me, you wouldn’t have let me in. Especially at this moment- WHOA!” he said, staring at me. I turned around, my back towards him, and put on my shirt. “I’m going to the lake. Goodbye.” I spat out. “Can I come with you?” “What do you think?” “Oh, yeah, well, okay then.” “Here’s your cell.” Gary handed it to me. I grabbed it, and ran out the door. He was going to hold this against me forever, telling all his friends.
