Misty’s View	
	I’m at the beach, relaxing, drinking my iced tea, when, all of a sudden, a shadow 
comes over me and kills the perfect sun rays I was enjoying. It’s Gary. He’s slowly 
walking towards someone else, I don’t know who.

	“Hey Gary!” I say in a chirpy voice. I slap my hand over my mouth. I was in such 
a great mood, I said hi to GARY. And now he was going to think I was falling for him!
	“Oh, hey.” Gary responds, gives me the “sup” nod, and keeps on walking.

	Gary makes his way over to a petite skinny girl with long, straight, blond 
hair. The girl’s tan goes perfectly with her emerald green bikini and board shorts. 
	She looks so familiar, I think to myself. Well, if Gary’s got her, is he still 
into me? “He better be!” I growl under my breath.
	
GARY’s View
	“Do you think we got her?” I say to my sister Paige.
	“We better have, because I’m not wearing this bikini again!” Paige sighs. “I’m 
too young to be doing this.”
	“Oh, come on, Paige. You’re my sister, and you performed great for your first 
time.”
	“If you’re so into Misty, why don’t you just ask her out?” Paige asks casually.
	“Oh, Paige…it doesn’t work like that.” I sigh.
	“Well, I think it does. And if she doesn’t accept you for who you are, you’re not 
worthy of her.” Paige says, kicking a shell along while we walk.
	“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” I say, giving her a hug.

Misty’s View
	I’ve never considered myself a stalker. And I still don’t at this exact moment. 

	I’m following Gary and watching him from about 20 paces behind. This girl he’s 
with…I swear I know her. She looks so young. Oh no, they’re getting away! I walk 
faster, about 12 paces behind. All of a sudden, they both stop, and Gary pulls the girl in 
for a hug. A looooonnnnggg hug. This must just be the first date.

PAIGE’s View
	“So where do I live?” I ask Gary.
	“In Kanto. In Viridian City. You just moved a year ago.” Gary says quickly.
	I make a mental note in my head.
      “So what’s my name again if Misty asks?” I ask one last time.
	“Brandi.” Gary confirms, turning around to look for Misty.
	“Aha. We got her, Paige. She’s following us.”

	Gary waves at Misty. Misty looks shocked, then decides to wave back.

	“Well, Paige, I mean, Brandi, let’s go introduce ourselves.” Gary says, pulling me 
to Misty.
	“Gary, wait! Are you sure she won’t recognize me? I mean, she’s seen me before. 
Are you sure about this?” I ask quietly.
	“You’ll be fine.” Gary smiles, walking up to Misty.
	
Misty’s View
	Oh crud, what do I do?! I’m so nervous!!!

PAIGE’s View
	“Hello, Misty.” Gary says. “Let me introduce you to my girlfriend.”
	“Hi, I’m Brandi.” I say, holding out my hand.
	
	Misty slowly reaches for my hand and shakes it once.
	
	“I’m Misty. Misty Waterflower.” Misty says quietly.
	“Oh, you’re from Cerulean City!” I laugh.
	“Yeah, I am. Where are you from?” Misty asks casually.
	“Umm, I live in Viridian City. I just moved a year ago.” I say quickly.
	“Oh, that’s cool.” Misty says, raising her eyebrows.
	“Yes, it is cool.” Gary says, smiling at me. I try to smile back.

	“Hey, I know this may seem weird and all, but can you tell me where you lived 
before you came here? I swear I’ve seen your face before.” Misty asks, a puzzled look on 
her face.
	“Oh, yeah, sure!” I stutter. “I um, I-I used to-to live in….the Johto region!” I 
exclaim, snapping my fingers. “Yes, I had some good times there, that’s for sure.”
	“Oh, ok! That’s so cool!” Misty says happily. “Maybe I saw a glimpse of you 
there.” 
	“Uh, yeah, probably. I get around.” I agree.
	“Yes, she does.” Gary says, a smile plastered on his face.
	“Well, we should all hang out sometime.” Misty smiles. We can watch scary 
movies and Paige can drive us around, Gary!” Misty giggles.
	“I’m not old enough.” I mutter under my breath.
	“Hmm, did you say something?” Misty asks.
	“I said it sounds like fun.” I smile.

GARY’s View

      “Brandi” and I say our goodbyes to Misty and start to walk away. 
      “Wait, Gary!” Misty yells after me.
      “Brandi, go on to the car, I’ll be there in a few minutes,” I whisper in her ear, 
running back to Misty.
      	
      “Yeah?” I ask casually, heart pounding.
      
      “If you’re not doing anything tomorrow night….”
