Perfect Poffins “You have to use the right kind of berry. If you don’t then you’re Pokemon won’t like their poffin.” Mrs. Patterson taught Dawn’s cooking class. May and Misty were also in this class. “May- don’t stir so fast, it might spill ov- AAH! MAY WHITE!” A huge fire had started over the spilt poffin mix on May’s desk. “Staryu, Horsea, blow out that fire!” Misty ordered. It took awhile, but soon the fire had disappeared. “GOD, May!” Dawn said in an exasperated voice, “Can’t you do anything right?” Back in her dorm, Dawn tried to perfect her poffin-making skills. So far, she had conducted three of four poffin recipes that her Pokemon liked. “Piplup, please,” Dawn begged, “You’ll like it!” Just then, May burst into the room, covered in ashes. “What happened to you? Did you look in the mirror?” Dawn smirked. “Why do you care?” May said grumpily. “ Because I think Drew and the whole school will like it.” Dawn said menacingly. “You wouldn’t!” “Yes, yes I would, May. You have SO much to learn about me.” “Whatever. I’m going to cheerleading practice.” “I’m so good, I don’t have to practice because I know I have NO competition.” “You might have to go practice how to NOT be a sore loser.” Misty entered her dorm. Aah, what a terrible day. It got even worse when she saw May and Dawn having another fight. Would they ever shut up?! Apparently not. She texted Ash and asked him if she could come over. He soon replied with a sure. She walked to the boy’s dorm and didn’t even knock. She walked in and was surprised to see Gary making out with another girl. That was eight girls in three days! She didn’t even glance at Brock or Kenny. But she DID notice Drew take his shirt off. Then Ash got in her view. She turned her attention to him. If only he had a buff body like Drew. Okay, back to Ash, she thought immediately. “So, what’s your song for music about?” Misty asked Ash. “Friends.” he replied. “Wanna hear it?” “Sure!” Misty was surprised to see Ash pull out a guitar. He sang softly: “You’ll be my friend, along to the end, we’ll always be together. You can lean on me, when you’re in need, because I’ll always be there for you. If you gotta pout, never doubt, I’m there for you. No matter what you do, you’ll always come through, because I’ll always be there for you.” “Wow, Ash..I…It’s..wow..” Misty breathed. “I wrote it for you.” Ash smiled. “Now let’s hear yours.” “Umm…well, I’d rather not sing it, it’s embarrassing..” she handed the paper to Ash. He read it over. “It’s for your eyes only,” Misty said. Ash smiled. They played Blackjack, War, and ate some popcorn. Misty was about to leave. “Ash?” she asked. “Yes, Misty?” “There’s one more game I want to play.” She dropped all the card on the floor and ran out of the room. “52 pick-up!” she finished. Ash groaned. My song! I need to make a new one before anyone else sees it, thought Misty. I’ll just wait till morning.
