This might be dark, but it needs to be said. Please, give us a chance. We're planning on writing more, so don't give up on us now! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prologue ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The end of the world. It was simple as that, destroying literally billions of lives. A comet, the Jirachi Comet, not it's official name, but highly popular nickname among Pokemon fans, for if you looked at it through a telescope, you could see a yellow blob, shaped sort of like the first three spikes of a star, with three small light blue rectangle smudges on each of the spikes, resembling the head of Jirachi. Those smudges confounded all the scientists interested in astronomy, and some who were fascinated by the mysterious of it all. Many a joke was made about how a giant Jirachi was headed towards Earth, going to fulfill wishes for all of us. Everyone said that it was harmless, like every old comet. However, as the seasons passed, it began to get hotter and hotter. The Jirachi Comet was getting bigger and bigger in the sky; it was even visible during the day, worrying lots of people. All the big important people didn't want the economy to crash, and lose all their money, so they fabricated "global warming", saying how people were driving in cars too much, and not conserving energy, and saying how it was ridiculous to blame a comet on everything. The economy rose again, slightly, but the majority of the people were wary of this comet. Pretty soon, hotter and bigger than ever the comet was, many were convinced it was an alien spacecraft, here to kidnap everyone and make them slaves. The Jirachi Comet was coming faster, due to the fact it traveled through space many times greater than the mind can grasp. It happened when everyone was least expecting it, on a beautiful and hot Thursday school day. Some high schoolers were being buddies for a group of young elementary kids, showing them around their high school. They went to the basement because it was so much cooler there, compared to anywhere else, and showing the kids all the interesting stuff; odd costumes, boxes full of school supplies and who knows what else, school play sets, and a few dingy chairs and cushions, along with plenty of snacks to keep the kiddies happy. Everyone was sitting around, chatting about all sorts of things, when it happened. It turned out that the light blue smudges were actually three different meteors, and they hit the atmosphere of our planet and broke into countless pieces, peppering the Earth, and blocking the sun with huge plumes of soot and dust, killing millions in the first round of horror. For it was far from ending, it needed to kill off billions more before it would stop, and even after the meteors fell, there would still be death to be wreaked. The high schoolers tumbled from their chairs, the little kids screaming at the top of their small lungs, surprisingly loud, but even that was drowned out by the earth churning in turmoil. The room was just shaking so hard, it felt as if they were in a box being shaken by a giant. Eventually, what felt like years later, the shakes subsiding, still there, but not nearly as bad. Only three high schoolers were actually conscious, although badly bruised. They struggled to their feet, anxious and desperate to see what happened to their world. Shaking, they managed to make to the surface. What they saw was practically hell, although strangely magical. The blue meteorites had turned into a fine dust, covering them. Beautiful, but terrible at the same time. "I-I think only Pokemon could live in this gloom." One of the girls managed to say. "Yes, I agree…if only we could turn into Pokemon ourselves…" answered the boy. They all stood there, pondering his words, all wishing strongly for the desire to turn into Pokemon. If only we could turn into Pokemon, we might actually have a chance to survive in this strange landscape. And at the same time, all three made the same wish, with such desire and passion, it could be heard whispering in the shadows and rubble. The other girl who hadn't spoken saw a pile of fairly undamaged books, and picked them up. "To entertain the kids with," she quietly murmured, anguish in her brown eyes. They stood silently, contemplating dark and sad thoughts, then went back down the stairs, back to the unconscious children below. And their wish could still be heard. ….I wish I could turn into a Pokemon..… ….To Be Continued…. If you're going to send reviews, don't you dare flame us! We will delete your message ASAP!
