BLUE SHADOW & RED INFERNO Aspendragon Part 1 *Theme Song* "Oh dear, why is he haunting me every night now?" she asked herself. As she stood up from her straw made bed and shoved her clean, light red moccasins on. Than she turned into her vulpix form and ran out of her den and stared around it. All the trees branches in the area were gently shoved aside by the wind. She stared downwind as she caught the scent of a zigzagoon. She slowly went towards it. It would be the first meal of the morning. When she poked her head out of a berry bush, with the help of the dawn sun's light, she saw a zigzagoon eating a few strawberries. Obviously taken from the farmer seven miles away. She crouched, ready to spring. But another noise made her stop. She looked out of the bush. The zigzagoon was gone, a half eaten berry lay where the pokemon was. She found a few spots of blood around the berries. She growled in disgust. The creature that killed and took away the zigzagoon was awfully skilled to be so quiet in its hunt. Not even her ears picked up the silent movements. "Well, there goes the first meal of the morning," she growled. As she walked away towards her den. But an unfamilier smell came to her. It was coming from where the zigzagoon was. "Who's there?" she growled. No sound came. She knew something was out there. "These are some of the issues I have for being a fifteen year old vulpixsune," she growled. "You can't figure the newest scents out," she growled in disgust, the smell came to her again, it was further away. She followed it. The sun was now half way up now. The sky was a light shade of blue mixed with orange. "Wherever this creature lives, they have a good excersize routine," she chuckled to herself. A small cave entrance came to her as she came to the top of the high hill. It was surrounded by ferns of the colors green and red. A few baby pine trees stood around it. "Hmmm," she mumbled, as she entered the small cave. It was just as small when she entered. As if she felt like she should go on, she crawled on. The cave's hall didn't get smaller, but it became wider and taller. The walls seemed to be of crystal and lit the way for her. She was finally able to get up on all four legs as she entered a wide, circuler room. It's walls were the same, except they were the color of sapphires. At the end of it was a small paw print with claw marks at the end of each end of the paw. She walked towards it without thinking. "You do not want to be here visitor," a male voice growled as she edged her paw forward to touch it. She quickly withdrew her paw and turned around. Whomever that voice belonged to was gone now. And she now terribly frightened. She quickly ran for the exit but stopped. The exit was gone, there was no opening anywhere. She quickly tried to calm herself. And tried to think of a plan. "I can't dig out, crystal doesn't break easily," she said to herself. Than she stared at the pawprint. "Should I...touch it?" she asked herself. As she walked towards it. When her nose was nearly touching the pawprint, she held up her paw. 'I don't have a choice," she cried as she pressed her paw against the pawprint. The whole room lit up with dazzling colors such as hot pink and crimson red. The pawprint began to talk. "You are the chosen one for thy who wishes for freedom," it began to say, "You have courage and power, but one you must and the other must learn is yearned from both," She stood stalk still, scared to move. "What are you talking about?" she suddenly asked. "You will soon know!" the pawprint growled as everything was sucked inside, including her. "Huh, where am I?" she asked, no one answered. She swiftly got to her feet and looked around. It was paradise! She was in a beautiful garden of every colored flower. Beyond the garden she saw mountains with snow tops and behind her she saw a thick jungle. "HELLO!" She cried, "ANYONE HERE!" no one answered, that was when she realized (after running into an invisible wall) that she was enclosed in her own dream. "PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP!" She cried, breaking down into tears, she pinched herself several times to realize she was awake. "Do not fear, for it is all just an illusion, quickly hurry everything out of your mind!" a voice cried, she stopped crying and looked all around to find the owner of the voice. "Please hurry or you'll never fulfill your destiny!" she voice scolded. Breathing deeply, she closed her eyes and thought of something else that had nothing to do with the garden. But she found that hard to do. She loved flowers and the sight of mountains. She couldn't figure what else she would be able to think about. That's when the image of the zigzagoon came to her mind. She cocked her head. Finding her mind leading her out of the bush she was in earlier and back in to find the zigzagoon gone with only berries and blood left of it. "Good, now hurry towards the small fountain!" the voice commanded. She opened her eyes to find she was not in the countryside anymore but to find a small water fountain in front of her. She ran towards it, waiting for the next instruction. "Now, all you have to do is look for a golden coin with a vulpix on it," the voice explained, as she turned into her human form (With vulpix ears and tail) she heard the voice gasp, she didn't know why but she continued to do what she was told, but when she saw the fountain. She fell. The fountain was filled to the rim with golden coins. She began to dig hastily, looking for a vulpix coin. At last, she found one at the bottom. She held it up, the voice sighed. "Good job, now, look for one with a star and an umbreon on it," the voice ordered. She dug around again. In five more minutes, she found the other two coins. "Now, on the star, wish to be sent to Silver Ice Pass," the voice explained. She did. She found herself again in complete darkness. When her focus came back, she saw herself surrounded by the endless sight of trees. That's when an umbreon showed up. But he looked different from the ones she saw. This one had aqua-blue rings and patches around his eyes. "Call me Crispin," he told her, she saw him look into her hand where she had the coins in. She quickly turned into her vulpix form and laid the two coins on the ground. He told her to keep the vulpix coin as he took the umbreon coin. "Where do you live?" he asked. "Maiden's Creek," she answered. "Wish to be there," he said, she wished to be at Maiden's Creek. He did the same. They were both sent into complete darkness. "Thank you for freeing me at last," Crispin thanked, "but our journey isn't over yet," she looked at him. "I do wish for your name," he said. "Rynn," she answered. She no longer frightened, now that she was home. "I know that being trapped there for awhile I have learned the art of my powers, do you know yours?" he asked. She shook her head. He sighed. "Follow me," he said, turning into his umbreon morph self. She dropped her jaw in shock. She already liked him, his looks astounded her. But she quickly shook her head as eh too turned into her vulpix morph self. He started running quickly. She followed. As they continued, she felt a strong energy source coming. She knew it would be a long time before she could sleep peacefully in her den. To be continued...
