I suggest to those that are VERY devout should stop reading! If you are religious, but don’t mind a bit of magic of any kind. Be my guest.

Blue Shadow & Red Inferno

Aspendragon

Part 2

Last time, Rynn the Vulpix released a trapped soul named Crispin, who turned out to be an umbreon, who had learned to control his powers, but not every one of them. He asked if she did as well, not doing so, lacking whatever knowledge that it was. Was recommended to follow him. Now what’s going to happen?

"So, where are we going?" Rynn asked. Her four legs grew tired as she walked up the hill. The sun was low when they started walking, but now it was high in the sky. Showing no mercy as it blared down on them, but it didn’t trouble her. Being a fire-type, but Crispin seemed to be having a more difficult time then her.

"I’m having the worst of it, so stop complaining!" he scolded harshly. She growled.

"I was NOT complaining!" Rynn barked. She started a four-legged jog up to him. "So, where did you come from?" Crispin said nothing.

"Why would a mere morph like you want to know?" he asked hastily. Her ears went back, what did she say that made him irritated?

"Sorry, didn’t know I hit a nerve!" she shouted. He didn’t flinch, but walked on, as if she wasn’t there. She looked at him then looked away. What a snob! That’s when he winced and stopped quickly. She too stopped.

"What is it Crispin?" she asked. He didn’t answer, but blurred away. "CRISPIN!" she ran after him, her nose and eyes watched out for him. Now, she was only listening to her scent senses. She stopped when she rammed headfirst into a leg, Crispin’s no doubt. She transformed quickly, running her head.

"You can shout and warn me you know!" she growled loudly.

"Shut your trap and-" BAM! Crispin winced and went to his knees and rubbed his head.

"Ouch! What’s the-" BAM! BAM! His eyes were swirling now, and he was on his back. Rynn was holding a small boulder the size of her head, agitated. Her pupils were small and her eyes were big.

"MORON! DON’T EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER TELL ME TO SHUT MY TRAP EONBOY!" She scolded, throwing down the rock, and exhaled a tiny portion of fire at him. He got up slowly.

"Grrr, whatever…" he growled. She growled as she fired up again. He winced, then she laughed.

"You’ve had enough, let’s get some sleep shall we, then you can explain things to me." She explained. He nodded slowly; hoping not to tick her off again even if she said that was enough for him.

"I promise, I won’t hurt you again till your wounds are not sore anymore," she said, as she transformed into her Vulpix form, he did as well into his Umbreon Form.

"All right, you already-" he began.

"AARRRR! I FOUND YOU!" a high-toned voice shrieked. They looked wildly around, then a giant, black instead of red Ariados appeared.

"That’s an ariados!" Rynn cried. Shifting back to her human form. Crispin did too.

"Yeah, it’s covered in Black Magic!" Crispin shouted. Rynn winced, she sensed it too, black aura soared all over the pokemon. It was being controlled!

"Stop it from escaping so it doesn’t spread the disease!" Crispin shouted, "MEAN LOOK!" His eyes glowed yellow, a yellow force field appeared around it and themselves and then turned invisible.

"Attack it!" Crispin ordered. Rynn nodded, to force something out, you got to be hard.

"Vul!" Flamethrower: A forceful blast of fire from the opponent’s mouth towards the foe in a wide beam The fire of orange, red, and yellow soared at the ariados and surrounded it. The ariados was engulfed in flames, when they vanished, the black was fading. The spider fainted, but its eyes glowed black.

"Dumb Eon, it was obvious to beat this weakling. But I assure you that a further challenge will be much more worth of your time…" the spider seemed to say, then it’s eyes stopped glowing black, showing swirls in the place of its eyes.

"Do you know where a herbal treatment center is?" Rynn asked, running to the spider and examining it for wounds. Crispin shrugged.

"Why would I know, but it’s not worth the time caring for. Didn’t you here the voice, it said it was a weakling!" he shouted. Rynn growled fiercely from this.

"How dare you, as a half-pokemon, you should care for those and defend those that are weaker then yourself moron!" she scolded. His ears drooped.

"Whatever…" he snorted. Then Rynn picked up the ariados and walked over to Crispin and laid it in his arms.

"Carry him if you don’t care, and the next time you need help don’t expect anyone to care!" she shouted. He snorted again and followed her through the woods.

"Anyway, did you know who that voice belonged to?" she asked. He nodded, he sure did. It was the witch that turned him into this in the first place.

"I was never a pokemon morph before you know, in fact, I was never a pokemon." She explained. He blinked.

"Really?"

"Yep, I was a red-headed human girl with nothing out of the ordinary and so on," she said, "But some woman entered our village. People believed her as a witch, and the only way to get rid of a witch is to find a black walnut tree, draw a picture of her, draw a X to where her heart is, and drive a nail in the X little by little each day. If she’s been causing trouble, she will be given more and more pain each day the nail is drawn in. If you give her anything she asks you for, you will be tortured for the rest of your life. But indeed, she was causing havoc outside my village and was given pain, no one gave her what she wished for and soon found out what was happening and came to our village and cursed it for all eternity that everyone would become a pokemon. She vanished after that, but we knew she wasn’t dead because the nail wasn’t completely into the tree. My village became a ghost town because we all went into our natural habitat, we all turned into vulpixes, no one ever evolved, even if given a fire stone, so, that’s my story to this very day…" she finished. Crispin snorted, that was worse then his pathetic tail of his stupid curiosity that got him into the nine hundred-year enchantment.

"Hey! There’s a cabin, let’s see if anyone’s there!" Rynn said as she ran towards a log cabin that suddenly showed up. A small flicker of light was found glittering in front of the window.

She went up to its door and knocked, Crispin stayed a safe distance away, just in case.

"Yes? Oh! Hello young lady, please come in," an elderly lady said as she opened the door, she wore a yellow kimono. Her cabin smelled of herbs and flowers. Crispin sensed the harmless energy and approached and came inside with Rynn.

"Make yourselves at home-oh dear! What happened to this fellow?" she asked, spotting the pokemon in Crispin’s arms.

"He kinda um…got into the middle of things and got hurt, do you think you can help him?" Rynn asked. The woman nodded.

"Yes, of course, lay him down on the blanket over there. It’s always ready when I need it," she said, pointing to a green and red blanket, he did what he was told. The woman quickly mixed herbs and other plants together and formed an ointment to heal the wounds from the burns.

"My name is Matilda, yours?" the woman asked.

"My name is Rynn, Matilda and this is Crispin," Rynn introduced.

"Then you must be the morphs I’ve been hearing about, come in my dears!" she shouted. Crispin and Rynn stared as Murkrows and Hoothoots.

"They’ve been reporting to me about a vulpix and an umbreon traveling through here." She said, "May I be of assistance, besides healing your friend here obviously?" Rynn nodded instantly, Crispin shrugged and sat down, his arms and legs folded, showing he didn’t care.

"All right, here he is. Should be awake fully restored tomorrow," Matilda said.

"Thank you, oh, hello," Rynn said to a hoothoot that landed on her shoulder.

"That’s Missy," Matilda said, then she started pointing at the others. "That’s Mellow, Zero, Blue, Zach, Sean, Rocky, Larru, Mei, Corso, and Fifi," she said. Crispin and Rynn sweat-dropped, they looked perfectly the same, except the murkrows and hoothoots separated, there was no way for anyone except Matilda to know the difference.

"Now, tell me where you’re a headin’?" she asked, sitting down with Rynn next to her. Rynn looked at Crispin.

"Yellow Fork Town," he answered. Rynn knew that place, it was a small town with only what they needed to survive and made up their own games out of dirt, rock, and stick.

"Aw, so your only a mile away," she said.

"Wow, really?" Rynn asked.

"As right as can be," Matilda said back.

"Awesome, say can we spend the night and walk on tomorrow morning?" Rynn asked.

"Why certainly Rynn, I have an extra bed set somewhere," Matilda said. Rynn and Crispin stared at her.

"One extra bed?" Crispin growled.

"Sorry, I don’t get too much company. If I do, they're individuals," she said.

"I’ll take the tree outside," Crispin said quickly.

"I wouldn’t do that Crispy," Matilda said in a warning tone.

"Why not?"

~ Outside ~

"I can’t believe I did this!" Crispin scolded himself as he shivered on the tree's branches. He was frozen stiff. Matilda wasn’t kidding that it became eighty degrees below zero at night!

"Will he be okay out there?" Rynn asked Matilda.

"His pokemon blood will keep him alive, but not warm mind you," Matilda said.

"Okay, but anyway, why is it warm in here if it’s only a cabin?" Rynn asked.

"It helps when ya have five fires goin’ and sixteen lanterns! Plus a lot of mugs of hot water," Matilda laughed, Rynn sweat-dropped.

"Right…" she said softly as she cuddled with her blanket. Crispin was still mumbling outside, waking up the ariados in the middle of the night.

To be continued…

Sorry that it took so long! Its hard to make a story that doesn’t remind you of something similar, but don’t worry. I’ll try and make more parts to the fanfics; school’s really getting to my head too!
