Part Ten- The mysterious story unfolds and Golden Sun Returns

	Last time, Coco and Squall received their first badge, the Boulder Badge. But what’s 
with Brock? Coco and the gang are about to find out.
Brock’s and Flint’s Living Room
	‘’It all started two years ago, when Ash, Misty, and I just met, it feels like it was just 
yesterday..’’ he explained.
	Two years ago…
	‘’I’ll see you guys later all right!’’ Ash yelled, as his mother, Professor Oak, Tracey, 
May, and Gary waved good-bye to him.
	‘’I’ll tell May, Brock, and Misty your going to be gone for three weeks!’’ his mom yelled 
after him. Ash waved back, Pikachu did too. Later that day, storm clouds loaded the sky. Ash 
looked at his pokemon, who now sat on his shoulder in a bored daze.
	‘’Don’t worry, I just want some time by myself,’’ Ash said, Pikachu perked up a bit, then 
started sparking due to the upcoming thunderstorm. 
	‘’Whoa! Easy buddy!’’ Ash said quickly, Pikachu continued to enjoy the lightning as it 
flashed through the sky. Ash started to run down the trail than sat under, a large, leafy oak 
tree.
	‘’Pika pi!’’ (Come on Ash!) Pikachu cried, running out in the middle of the trail, sparking.
	‘’Pikachu! Get back here!’’ Ash screamed, Pikachu never acted like this, sure he sparked 
now and then during storms. But never acting like a lightning rod!
	‘’PIKACHU!’’ Ash screamed, as a bolt of lightning struck Pikachu, who seemed to be 
enjoying it.
	‘’Ha ha!’’ a familiar cackle laughed, the blonde head Rocket Member her male partner 
jumped between Ash and Pikachu.
	‘’I don’t think our motto is appropriate right now, since you know who we are!’’ Cassidy 
laughed, along with Butch.
	‘’Cassidy and Buzz! What are you doing here?’’ Ash asked.
	‘’You did that on purpose! The name’s Butch!’’ Butch shouted, Ash sweatdropped as 
Cassidy smacked him, reminding him of their mission.
	‘’We’re here to steal Pikachu, why else?’’ Cassidy laughed, Ash growled as he 
remembered he had no pokemon except Pikachu.
	‘’Leave me and Pikachu alone!’’ Ash yelled, they both laughed as they released a 
raticate and a drowzee.
	‘’We’ll leave him alone all right!’’ Butch shouted.
	‘’In the Boss’s office!’’ Cassidy added. Ash ran towards them, not caring about the 
pokemon that were front of him.
	‘’DROWZEE! POUND!’’ Butch commanded.
	‘’RATICATE! SUPER FANG!’’ Cassidy yelled. The two pokemon charged at Ash who 
didn’t stop running. Drowzee pounded on Ash’s chest, sending him back. But he started running 
forward again after he stopped. He missed Raticate’s fangs by a hair.

Who’s that Pokemon?
This pokemon’s fangs can chomp through five layered concrete!
Answer:
Raticate! 

‘’DO IT AGAIN!’’ The two Rockets commanded. Both attacks missed again. Ash swiftly 
dodged Butch’s and Cassidy’s flailing arms as he somersaulted towards Pikachu.
	‘’I GOTCHA!’’ Ash yelled in triumph. Grabbing Pikachu as the lightning vanished and rain 
started to come down. Pikachu, unaware about the events, jumped on Ash’s shoulders happily.
	‘’Pikachu! Use ThunderBolt upon those two now!’’ Ash commanded. The four stood 
stunned, staring above Ash and into the sky. Ash turned around so did Pikachu.
	‘’Ho-oh?’’ Ash mumbled, as the golden bird gracefully flew away.
	‘Ash, hurry and destroy Team Rocket before it’s too late!’ Ho-oh cried, as he vanished 
behind the storm clouds.
	‘’You heard him Pikachu! ATTACK!’’ Ash yelled. Pikachu nodded and jumped into the air 
and threw a lightning bolt at the four.
	‘’WE’LL BE BACK!’’ Cassidy and Butch cried, as they ran away with their fried pokemon.
	‘Well done, but you must eliminate Team Rocket and their new forces,’ Ho-oh’s voice 
explained.
	‘’How?’’ Ash asked.
	‘It will come to you when the next one sets out and step in similar paths as yours,’ Ho-
oh said, then his voice vanished as the rain went away too. The clouds parted, revealing a blue 
sky and bright sun. But Ho-oh was nowhere to be found.
	‘But for now, you must train hard and raise your friendships,’ Ash nodded as he found 
Ho-oh soaring across the sky once more and vanished.

	‘’Than he came back, after telling us his story, he said he will be gone for awhile and 
wait for the next person that follows his steps,’’ Brock finished.
	‘’And we never heard from him again,’’ Flint added. Squall, Bayline, and Coco stared at 
the two, as the two stared at her.
	‘’Oh wait, I know what you’re thinking and it isn’t true!’’ Coco said quickly, but Squall 
and Bayline seemed to have believed the whole thing completely and stared at her too. Coco 
stroked Peppermint’s head, who was also staring at her. 
	‘’But everything fits Coco!’’ Bayline argued. Everyone nodded except Coco.
	‘’HOW?’’ She argued back.
	‘’Ash came from Pallet, you did too,’’ Flint began.
	‘’He had a pikachu and you do too!’’ Bayline said.
	‘’He always had his pikachu out of his ball, and you do too,’’ Brock added.
	‘’He saw Ho-oh and you saw...’’ Squall stuttered.
	‘’I saw Golden Sun!’’ Coco shouted, ‘’I’m pretty sure he’s not Ho-oh!’’ Squall gasped.
	‘’Golden Sun! Why didn’t you tell me?’’ Squall and Brock asked loudly. Coco shrugged.
	‘’What’s the big idea?’’ Coco asked.
	‘’There are two different Ho-ohs,’’ Flint began, getting an old book from the shelf behind 
them and opened it.
	‘’A Rainbow one and a Light one,’’ Flint began.
	‘’Ho-oh is the Rainbow one, the one that guarded Ash on his journeys and guided him 
too,’’ Brock added.
	‘’And Golden Sun is the Light one, the one that was destined to follow the next trainer 
from Pallet,’’ Brock finished. Coco sighed. Walking outside, leaving an ashamed group behind.
	‘’I think we gave her more than she could chew at the moment,’’ Bayline whimpered, 
everyone nodded as Brock went to make lunch.
	‘’Your welcome to stay, and you could tour the Pewter City’s Museum tomorrow,’’ Flint 
said, the two trainers nodded.
	‘’OH, and I read something about a new exhibit on extinct pokemon in the newspaper 
this morning,’’ Brock said, still cooking.
	
	‘’Oh Pepper, how can I be the destined one?’’ Coco asked Peppermint, as she jumped to 
the ground and looked up at her master.
	‘’Pika pika pi!’’ (Because you’re the one Golden Sun has appeared to!) Peppermint cried, 
running towards a flowerbed.
	‘’Yeah, your right,’’ Coco admitted, Peppermint began sniffing a yellow tulip.
	‘Do not worry Coco, everything will be clear soon,’ Golden Sun encouraged, Coco looked 
around, the front lawn of Brock’s home was deserted. When she looked up, she gasped. Golden 
Sun was sitting comfortably on a large, puffy cloud.
 	‘’Golden Sun,’’ she mumbled, staring at him as he chuckled and soared away.
	‘’Pikachu?’’ (See what I mean?) Peppermint laughed as Coco tickled her and lifted her up 
in her arms.
	‘’Well, tomorrow, we’ll leave and head towards Mt. Moon,’’ Coco said quietly. 
	‘’Pikachu!’’ (Good, I want to battle more!) Coco laughed.

	‘Ash, when are you planning to see her?’ Ho-oh asked.
 Ash grinned, as he stood at the edge of the rocky ledge.
	‘’Not for a while my friend, I still need to make a few more adjustments,’’ Ash said, 
looking at Ho-oh, who perched upon a high, thin plateau and stared at him.
	‘’Pikachu pika pi?’’ (When will they be finished?) Pikachu asked, sitting on his shoulder.
	‘’At least seven months,’’ Ash answered. Ho-oh closed his eyes as he took off.
	‘I need to talk with Golden Sun, I shall be back in three days,’
	‘’I’ll be waiting!’’ Ash yelled back at him.
	‘’Pika!’’ (Bye!) Pikachu cried, waving.
