Part Nine- Peppermint vs. Geodude & Firestorm vs. Onix

	“Hi Coco,” Squall said, she was sitting up now, and most of her bandages were off now, but her cast will stay on for 
another week.
	“Hello, where’s Bay?” she asked, looking behind Squall. He sweatdropped, “and where’s Pepper?”
	“Well, Bayline ran away somewhere and Peppermint went after her, but I’m sure she’ll be back-”
	“Hi everybody, look who I have!” Bayline said in a loud voice, Peppermint was in her arms, “I found her coming into the 
hospital, how are you Coco?”
	“Great, say, why so cheerful so suddenly?” Coco asked, Bayline showed her the Boulder Badge.
	“WOW!” Coco yelped, “you already have a badge, fantastic!” Squall growled.
	“That’s not all, see!” she released her metopod, “and she defeated a geodude and an onix!” 
	“Wow! You’ll be one strong butterfree Jenta,” Coco said, Jenta cried in joy.
	“So, when are you allowed out of the hospital?” Squall asked, Coco looked at him with a smile on her face.
	“In an hour, and maybe we could get our badges today too!” Coco shouted, Squall gave Bayline a dirty look then looked 
back at Coco.
	“Today!” he said, then he got up, “then I have to do some training, I’ll see ya in a hour,” than he walked out of the room.
	“So, Bayline, Squall told me you ran off, why?” Coco asked, Bayline was already thinking about shoving him in a stove 
and setting it at one hundred and fifty degrees.
	“Oh, well, I was kinda feeling bad about the whole incident and thought that a good battle would cheer me up,” Bayline 
answered. Coco agreed and said that would raise her spirits too.
	
“That Silverson!” Squall growled, walking towards a small stream outside Pewter City.
	“Always hogging someone else’s attention!” he shouted, releasing Fruity.
	“All right Fruity!” he yelled, “Let’s prove that we’re a hundred times better than Bayline!” as he stomped in the thick 
woods around them. Fruity sweatdropped as she followed her master.
	“Ratatata!” (Who are you to come into my territory!) A male ratatta growled as he ran at Fruity.
	“Fruity! Vine Whip!” Squall commanded, Fruity released her single vine and wrapped it around the small rat. Than she 
flung him at a tree.
	“Finish it with Absorb!” Fruity glowed a bright green, as small, green balls of energy came from the ratatta to Fruity. The 
ratatta woke quickly as he fell to the ground, then he quickly ran away. Squall didn’t want to catch any of these pokemon, so he just 
let them run away.

One Hour Later…
	“Where is he?” Bayline asked loudly, as Coco stood beside her with Peppermint on her right shoulder, due to her left arm. 
Which was now in a sling. 
	“There he is!” Coco yelled, pointing at the right of the Pokemon Center. Squall came out of the woods, shocked that he 
found the two trainers there.
	“What are you gals doing here?” he asked.
	“We were came here fifteen minutes ago to get Peppermint and Firestorm fully healed, I bet Fruity needs a charge up too,” 
Coco giggled, looking at the sweating bellsprout on Squall’s shoulder. He sweatdropped.
	“Yeah, I was coming here just for that reason, than I was going to go to the hospital to get you,” he said quickly, the two 
girls giggled as he went in the Center.
	“Boys,” Bayline growled, Coco’s right hand was covering her mouth, trying to stifle her giggles. Peppermint just sat on her 
shoulder, but not patiently. She would squeal every five seconds.
	“All right, I’m back,” Squall said, walking up to them, it was obvious that Fruity was in her ball.
	“I’ll race ya!” Bayline laughed, running towards the gym, across from the Center. The other two ran after her.

	“Beat ya! Wouldn’t wanna be ya!” Bayline laughed, as Coco and Squall started panting and breathing hard as they stopped 
outside the door of the gym.
	“OK, let’s go,” Squall chuckled, pushing back strands of sweaty hair. Coco smiled. Bayline opened the doors and walked 
in. Followed by Coco and Squall.

“Well, well, well, look what we spotted here,” Claudia smiled, looking through her binoculars. Syji did the same.
	“It’s the Party Heroes!” Syji chuckled, Claudia laid her pair down on her seat.
	“Out of all our ideas, turning that robotauros into a jet was fantastic!” Syji said.
	“But its not the last brilliant plan I thought up,” Claudia said, Syji sweatdropped, but continued to steer the jet.
	“So than Claudia, what’s your plan for today?” Syji asked.
	“Something I’m sure will shock all the twerps inside that gym,” she said evilly, as she started explaining her plan. Syji 
grinned evilly.

	
Who’s that Pokemon?
This pokemon can collect and store 3,600 degrees in its body in thirty minutes!
Answer:
Flareon!

	“HEELLOOO!” the three trainers chorused. The lights flashed on, revealing the same, rocky field Bayline battled on 
earlier.
	“More challengers, that makes three in one day,” Brock said, as he appeared on the opposite side of the field, a referee 
showed himself on the sideline again.
	“My name is Brock, leader of Pewter City’s GYM, who is my next challenger?” he said as he pointed to Squall then to 
Coco, than he started stuttering.
	“Are you from P-Pallet T-Town?” he asked, glancing at the pikachu on Coco’s shoulder, she nodded.
	“Do you ever have that pikachu in a ball?” she shook her head.
	“Do you know anyone named Ash Ketchum?” she shook her head, she knew the name, but didn’t know him. Bayline and 
Squall stared at one trainer, to the other, confused.
	“Hmmm…” Brock mumbled, than the ceiling crumbled to the ground.
	“PREPARE FOR TROUBLE!”
	“AND MAKE IT DOUBLE!”
	“TO RID THE WORLD FROM HAPPY ENDINGS!”
	“TO KILL THE WEAK AND CARING!”
	“TO STRETCH OUR REACH TO THE BLACKENED SKY!”
	“TO HIDE OURSELVES AND GET WHAT WE WANT BY LIES!”
	“CLAUDIA!” Claudia shouted as she showed her a screen of herself as a jet’s nose entered the building.
	“SYJI!” Syji yelled, as he too, showed a screen of himself outside the jet.
	“TEAM ROCKET SNEAKING IN AND OUT ALL DAY AND NIGHT!”
	“GIVE UP TO US NOW AND WE’LL LEAVE YOU UNHARMED ALL RIGHT!”.
	“Team Rocket!” Brock shouted, the three trainers looked at him. Claudia and Syji grinned.
	“Sure is, the one and only Team Rocket!” Claudia said, Syji laughed.
	“I thought you were gone!” Brock shouted again.
	“Brock, what do you mean ‘I thought you were gone’?” Squall asked, Brock said he’ll explain later.
	“I’ll get rid of them,” Brock said, as he threw a poke’ball, the same onix Bayline battled appeared.
	“ONIX! GET RID OF THEM WITH TACKLE!” Brock commanded.
	“YOU HELP TOO GOLEM!” another voice ordered, a large brown boulder like pokemon with a head, arms, and legs 
came running out as he and Onix Tackled Team Rocket out of the GYM.
	“WE’LL BE BACK!” They both scream as they flew out of sight.
	“Wow! We never gotten rid of them that fast before!” Coco complimented. Brock nodded.
	“Here, let me introduce you to my father Flint, he’s the one that owns Golem,” Brock said, as a taller and older version of 
him came out of the shadows.
	“Nice to meet you, two challengers for you today?” he asks, Brock answered yes.
	“Than I’ll assist you, I’ll take on the boy,” he said, pushing a remote button, the wall to their left sunk into the ground to 
reveal another rocky field, Squall ran over to it, Coco walked up to the field in front of her, Brock was on the opposite side.

Who’s That Pokemon?
This pokemon steals from stupid trainers.
Answer:
Rattatta

“This will be a one-on-one match, when one pokemon is unable to battle, loses, BEGAN!” they heard Squall’s and Flint’s 
referee yell. Their referee did the same.
	“GO! PEPPERMINT!” Coco shouted, as Peppermint jumped onto the battlefield.
	“A pikachu eh, GO! GEODUDE!” Brock shouted, releasing the small boulder pokemon with two arms, Coco took out 
Dexter.
	“Geodude, the ground/rock pokemon,” Dexter beeped, “These pokemon live in dark and rocky caves, and are often stepped 
on by travelers,” Coco put Dexter away. She heard Squall release Fruity and Flint release a Graveler.
	“GEODUDE! ROCK THROW!” Brock commanded.
	“PEPPERMINT! DODGE EM ALL!” Coco commanded, Peppermint jumped from rock to rock, and landed on a low, 
rocky edge.
	“GEODUDE! TACKLE!”
	“PEPPER! THUNDERSHOCK TO DRIVE HIM INTO THE WALL!” Peppermint threw a bolt of lightening at the 
charging pokemon, it hit him between the eyes, he was sent flying back and across Squall’s and Flint’s field. Everyone sweatdropped 
as they stared at the shocked geodude.
	“Return Geodude!” Brock said, returning Geodude to his ball. Squall and Flint returned to their battle.
	“DODGE IT FRUITY AND USE RAZOR LEAF!” she heard Squall yell, Bayline began cheering for Coco.
	“GO COCO!” she screamed.
	“Excuse me, but why did you tell Peppermint to blast my geodude into the wall instead of trying to shock him?” Brock 
asked.
	“Well, I thought rock and ground types were strong against electric attacks so I use strength in the thundershock to send 
him crashing,” Coco said in a ‘duh!’ tone.
	“Hmmm, you are a good trainer Coco, a beginner who actually uses his or her brain,” Brock complimented.
	“Thank you,” Coco said.
	“All right, let’s get back to the battle, GO! ONIX!” A giant, rocky snake appeared.
	“Oh boy,” Coco mumbled, Peppermint back away a bit.
	“Resume the battle!” the referee shouted.
	“ONIX! TACKLE!” Brock commanded. Onix lunged at the pikachu. Unfortunatly, he didn’t miss. Peppermint crashed into 
the wall behind Coco. Coco picked her up when she went sliding down the wall.
	“You did a good job, here Bayline, watch her please,” Coco said, as she handed Peppermint to Bayline and went over to 
the battlefield again.
	“All right, GO! FIRESTORM!” 
	“Char!” Firestorm cried, glaring up at the onix, who glared back. The referee shouted to start the battle again. She heard 
that Squall finally won the match.
	“FIRESTORM! EMBER ATTACK!” Coco commanded, Firestorm sent flares everywhere. Some of them hit the onix, 
making small burns. The onix roared in pain.
	“ONIX! ROCK THROW!” Brock commanded, the onix roared as he swung loose rocks and boulders at Firestorm, who 
jumped on the rocks like Peppermint did.
	“USE EMBER AGAIN!” Coco yelled, making larger embers, Firestorm made double effects on the onix, making larger 
burns. He roared in pain again, in a deeper tone.
	“USE EMBER! ONE MORE TIME!” Firestorm covered every single bit of the rocky body with burns. The onix fell to the 
ground, tried to get up, but fell unconscious.
	“All right!” Coco screamed, as Firestorm jumped into her arms. Squall ran over to her, so did Bayline.
	“Cool, now we all have the Boulder Badge!” Squall cheered, Coco smiled as she took the badge from Brock’s hand.
	“Ummm, Brock, I want to know what happened when Team Rocket came,” Coco said, Flint was now with them.
	“Well, if you want to know, then your gonna know!” Flint said. Everyone followed Brock through a door which lead to his 
home.
