~~~~ (The next day)
   The alarm clock rang as Rain woke up and rubbed her eyes. She looked at the time and it read 4:45. She put her head back on the pillow fell back asleep. Just as she did, the alarm clock rang again. She raised her head and looked at the clock. She put the alarm off and she went back to sleep. The alarm went off again. She woke up and threw the clock in her dresser.
"Must be something wrong with the clock." She went back to sleep just as she heard a knock on the door.
"I can't get any sleep around here anymore." She got up from her bed and put on a robe. She looked at who was at the door. It was Wind. She opened the door and he was just standing there, looking at his shoes or the floor.
"Hey." Wind looked up.
"Good morning."
"What are you doing here so early?" Wind looked at his watch.
"Oh, I didn't realize it was so early. I'll come back later, if you'd like?"
"No, it's okay. Why don't you come in." Rain smiled.
"O.K." He walked inside and marveled at how beautiful the room looked.
   Flowers were everywhere. The ones he saw the most were daisies, lilies, and violets. He noticed the vase matched the color of the flower and he looked up at the ceiling. Ribbons of them hanging up from cornor to cornor.
"Could I ask you something?" Rain looked at him.
"Sure."
"Why do you mostly have daisies, lilies, and violets?"
"Why? Do you hate them?" She smiled.
"No, actually I think they're great. But why daisies, lilies and violets?"
"Well, my sisters were named Daisy, Lily, and Violet. But they're dead so, to remember them, I keep a lot of daisies, lilies, and violets." She smiled as she went to straighten up a violet.
<Daisy, Lily, and Violet? That sounds familiar... Misty has sisters named Daisy, Lily, and Violet... But are they dead? Nah, they can't be... can they? They couldn't have died at such a young age.>
"Wind? Is there something wrong?" Wind broke out of his thoughts.
"No. Nothing at all."
"Well I have to take a shower. You're welcome to look around, if you'd like." Wind smiled as she went into the bathroom.
   He looked around and went to her bedroom. There weren't as many flowers, but a lot of pictures. One of the pictures had Rain at the prom with a guy. Wind looked at the guy more closely. His blue hair matched his eyes. His height and his looks looked familiar. He looked even more closely. It was... Blue?
<Blue and Rain used to.... But how?> Then he remembered what Blue had said to him last night.
~~~~ (Flashback to last night)
"Listen kid. You stay away from Rain okay. She's my girl."
~~~~ (Flashback ends)
He looked at another picture of her with three older girls. One had blonde hair, one had magenta hair, and the other had violet hair.
<They must be her sisters... They're really familiar. Could she be Misty?> He heard a door opening and he quickly went back to the living room and sat down on the recliner. Rain stepped out, drying her hair with a towel then wrapping it up in a turban. She was wearing her pajamas and went to her room to change. Wind  looked at the table next to him. There was a picture of her and the chief with a woman. She had the same color hair as Rain's and the same aqua eyes. Although Rain's were much prettier.
<Must be her mom.> Rain came out wearing her uniform with a shorter leather jacket. Her damp shoulder length hung down as usual.
"Should we go now?" Wind nodded. He got up and walked to the door. Rain opened the door and they went the elevator. She pressed the button and waited for a few seconds. The elevator door opened and they walked in. Wind pressed the '20' button. The doors closed and slowly made its way up.
"Did you and Blue used to have a special relationship before?" Rain looked at him.
"You saw that picture, didn't you?" Wind nodded.
"No. I went alone that year and Blue was just being a good friend."
"That's it?" Rain laughed.
"What do you mean that's it?"
"You mean you guys weren't..."
"An item, you mean? No, not at all. He just likes me... But I already love someone. I'm just not sure if he still remembers me or not." Her eyes started to twinkle from the light. Wind could tell she was starting to cry.
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay. It's not your fault." 'Ding'. The elevator doors opened and they both stepped out and headed towards the chief's office. Wind turned the doorknob and entered with Rain behind him.
"Finally you guys came. I was beginning to worry that you guys forgot." He laughed.
"How could I forget, Dad?! I mean, sir. This is my favorite band and I'm going to see them live!" Rain starting jumping up and down again. She stopped quickly after because of Blue. He stepped out of nowhere and smiled at Rain. Again she put on the disgusted face.
"Well, come on guys. We have to go." The chief got up from his chair and took his suitcases. Rain walked out with Wind following and Blue behind him with the chief as the caboose.
"Stay away from Rain." Blue whispered to Wind as they waited for the elevator. The doors opened and they all went inside. They went to the basement to get Rain and Wind's bags. The elevator 'dinged' and they exited. Rain went to her room and Wind went to his. Rain took out her suitcases and Blue saw that she was uneasy carrying them.
"Let me help you, Rain." Blue took some cases and carried them while waiting for Wind. He came out and they all headed for the elevator. They went to the lobby and one of the employees drove the chief's car to the door. It was a silver Mitsubishi Montero. They put the bags in the trunk and they barely fit, but they were able to close the trunk. The chief got in the driver's seat while Rain and Wind sat in the back. The chief put on his seat belt while the two young agents looked aimlessly out the window. The chief drove off towards the airport. The chief turned on the radio and some crappy country music came on. The chief seemed to like it since he didn't change it.
"Um, dad?"
"Yes, Rain?"
"Could you kinda... change the radio station?"
"Okay." The chief reached over and changed it to a different radio station. An upbeat pop song came on.
"Um, could you change it again before the words come and disturb my soul?" The chief laughed and changed it again. A rock song came on and Rain sat back and smiled.
"Finally, a song from Linkin Park!" The radio played 'One Step Closer', one of Rain's favorite songs by Linkin Park.
   Rain noticed that Wind was kinda quiet. He was staring out the window. She stared at him wondering what he was thinking about. Wind could sense a pair of eyes on him. He turned his head and Rain turned away just in time. Wind thought it was kinda quiet besides the music which nobody was really listening to. She sat there looking out the window, enjoying the style of the music. Wind thought it was awkward that such beauty could like such roughness in music. He didn't want to draw attention from her so he continued staring out the window. The chief change the radio station since he thought that the two young agents weren't really in this world. As he reached over his eyes wandered off the road only for two seconds. During those two seconds, he missed the exit. He looked back on the road and took a sharp turn to the exit. The two passengers in the back tumbled in different places. When the chief finally got the car to drive back in regular position, Rain somehow ended up on top of Wind.
   He looked into those beautiful aqua colored eyes. They reminded him so much of Misty. Rain was looking back into his eyes. She wanted so much for him to turn into Ash right in front of her eyes. Everything around them seemed to disappear since the chief asked if they were okay. Rain began to melt in his arms. Every touch from him had felt so familiar and only from the one person she loved. Ash. Wind hadn't felt skin so soft before. He searched his memory and remembered he had felt skin this soft. Misty's. Yes, Misty was the one he loved. But somehow Rain reminded him of Misty. Had he devoloped feelings for her? He felt the same feeling when he was around Misty. Was it love? They finally broke out of their own world as the car pulled over. Rain snapped out of her trance and got off Wind.
"I'm sorry." Rain's eyes wandered off as she got no response from Wind. The chief looked behind.
"Are you two okay?" Rain nodded, but no response from Wind. He continued looking out the window like nothing happened. The chief continued driving. The traffic came in as he continued driving up the exit. The crappy country music came on. Rain didn't mind this time. She also continued looking out the window. She thought about how his personality could change so quickly.
<He's so much like Ash, but he's too unpredictable. He couldn't be Ash.> She started to touch her hand where it had made contact with Wind's hand. She looked at him for a scarce second. He looked so calm and obscure. It was hard to understand her feelings and she knew it herself. She just told him that she loved only one guy. But yet, she also felt something about Wind. She ignored her thoughts and knew that she loved only Ash.
   Wind had no intention of going this far. He knew he loved Misty, but he also knew he was close to loving Rain. He couldn't. He couldn't love the chief's daughter. He looked out the window, trying to keep his mind off the situation. He just couldn't stop thinking about it. What was it he felt? He was clueless. He thought about what it would be like if they were a couple.
   He heard a voice say his name. He turned towards Rain. She looked at him as she sat closer. She took his hand and leaned in closer. Wind didn't turn away and he didn't move in closer. Did he want it or not? She rested her head on his shoulder. Then she put her arms around him. She lifted her head up and moved closer to him. She moved even closer and pressed her body against his. She planted a light kiss on his lips. Why was she like this? She planted another kiss on his lips. This kiss was more passionate. She reached behind him and opened the door. She pushed him out and left him on the highway as the car drove away.
   He could feel someone shaking him. He opened his eyes.
"Wind? Wind, wake up." It was Rain. He sat up and looked around.
<It was just a dream.> He looked at Rain as she gave him her smile.
"Come on, we're here." Wind opened the door and stepped out. He went to the trunk, took out his bags and then set them down on the floor. The chief went to get a cart to carry the suitcases while Rain and Wind unloaded the bags. Wind had something he had to ask. It was haunting him not knowing.
"So, who is the guy that you love?" Rain stopped unloading the bags after the question.
"I- It's not important." She continued unloading the bags. Wind stood there for a moment thinking and looking at her.
"You left him didn't you?"
"What?"
"You left him and you haven't seen him ever since." Rain looked at him.
"I really don't want to talk about it now." The chief came back and they put the suitcases on the cart. The chief pushed the cart and Wind closed the trunk while Rain followed her dad. One of the guys that worked at the airport drove the car towards an airplane. Wind and Rain looked around. This was their first time here. They walked away from the entrance and Wind noticed it.
"Umm..Sir?"
"Yes?"
"Why are we heading away from the entrance?"
"I guess I forgot to tell you. There is a hidden area just for agents."
"Well, why don't we just go in there like everyone else?"
"You know, when they scan your bags?" Both agents nodded.
"You're carrying guns and weapons and that might scare people. But if we go thru here, people who scan the bags will let you thru if you have a good reason for carrying the weapons." Both the agents nodded which meant they understood. They walked inside the building. It was air conditionered which was good since it was hot today. They looked at a giant board that told which gate goes to where and what time they were lifting off. They scanned the board for the gate they had to go to.
"New York to Los Angeles  7:15   Gate 20" Rain looked at her watch.
"What time is it?" Rain looked up. She saw those chocolate colored eyes that reminded her of Ash.
"6:00." They headed towards the area where they would have to give their suitcases to the airport so they could put them onto the plane. After that, they headed towards a cafe. Rain and Wind sat next to each other while the chief sat across them. Rain sat there for a moment, thinking about how much Wind remided her of Ash. The one guy she loved, but she hadn't seen him since the day she left him.
~~~~ (Flashback)
   They were walking and someone or something popped out of nowhere. They went over to help it. Brock got a view of the face, which happened be a pretty girl.
"Oh, hi! My name is Brock! What's your name? Never mind that. Would you like to stay with me and maybe sleep with me? I feel really lonely when I sleep!" Misty dragged Brock away. The girl sweatdropped.
"Uh.. Is your friend always like this?"
"Yeah." The girl looked at Ash while he was looking at Misty. The girl blushed. She got up from the ground as Brock and Misty went back.
"Could I get your phone number and maybe the company of the lingerie that you wear?" Misty took out her mallet and hit Brock. The girl sweatdropped again.
"Umm... I think that's sorta classified information... Oh, I guess I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Yuki."
"My name is Ash and this is Misty. I think you already know Brock." Yuki smiled.
"Is it okay if I stay with you guys? I mean, I'm all alone and my home is far from here."
"Fine with me! I'm waiting for that phone number anyway! Also waiting for the name of the company of lingerie that you wear! Oh, and also your address and also if your a good kisser. Actually I don't care if your a good kisser or not." Misty took out her mallet and hit Brock again. Yuki sweatdropped.
"Ash, why don't you drag Brock around? I gotta catch up on my girl stuff." Yuki and Misty laughed.
"Um... okay." Ash dragged Brock around since he was unconcious while Yuki and Misty were a little behind, talking and gossiping. It was getting dark and Brock got his conciousness back. They stopped and set up camp. Misty set up her tent and Yuki put her sleeping bag as far away  from Brock's as possible. Brock set up a fire. Yuki noticed that there wasn't enough firewood.
"I'm going to get more firewood."
"Wait I'll go with you. Besides, you don't want to get lost. And with me with you, you won't get hurt and I'll get to know the company of your lingerie!" Yuki sweatdropped. Misty took out her mallet and hit Brock... Again. Ash decided to go with Yuki instead since Misty could control Brock with her mallet. Misty waited a while and decided to help Ash and Yuki since it would be a while until Brock woke up.
   Meanwhile, Ash and Yuki were having their own conversation.
"So, you have a girlfriend?" Ash was surprised by the question.
"No." Yuki nodded. It was silent for a while.
"Ash, I know this is kinda sudden, but..."
"What is it, Yuki?"
"I love you!" Yuki dropped the pile of sticks that she had and grabbed Ash. She then kissed him. Misty found them and she couldn't believe what she saw. She wanted to cry, but she couldn't. She ran back to camp. She sat back down on the ground and pretended nothing happened. Minutes after the incident, Ash and Yuki came back with firewood.
"Did you guys enjoy your time together?" Ash was confused.
"What are you talking about, Misty?"
"You guys took a while just to get that much firewood." Ash and Yuki looked at how much firewood they got.
"Look, I'm tired so I'm going to go to sleep now." Misty went inside her tent and got in her sleeping bag. She pretended she was asleep until Brock woke up. She reached for her bag and took out her notebook and a pen. She started writing as fast as she could. She didn't know when Yuki would come in and sleep. She was writing a note to Ash. After a few minutes, she was done. It wasn't a long note, but she was kinda at a loss of words at the time. She re -read her note.
'Dear Ash,
   By the time you get this note, I will already be gone. I saw what happened between you and Yuki. You shouldn't try to look for me. You should be with Yuki. It seems like you two like each other, maybe love. You shouldn't worry. I'll be fine. Just stay with Brock and Yuki. Forget about me, please. I'm happy if your happy, Ash.

Love,
         Misty
P.S. I will always love you.'
She thought it was good. She folded it up and wrote 'Ash' on the front. She put her notebook and pen back in her bag. She put the note under her pillow and went to sleep. She soon dozed off. Soon after she was in a deep sleep, she was woken up by a disturbing sound. She rubbed her eyes. She heard the noise again. She checked outside her tent and saw a totally unexpected sight. She didn't see Brock and assumed he was sleeping. She looked at Ash and Yuki. They happened to be doing some 'business' that Misty had wanted to do with Ash, ever since she met him. She got out of her tent and headed towards Ash.
"Ash Ketchum, you are such a bastard!!" She slapped Ash in the face. Ash stopped and pushed Misty down to the fire. She slowly fell down and before she could fall down on the fire, she woke up. She breathed heavily and looked around. Yuki was sleeping in her tent. She listened for any voices. She looked outside. The fire was out. She reached under her pillow and took out the note. She quietly got out of her tent and headed for Ash's tent. She slowly opened the tent and looked at Ash.
<He looks cute when he's sleeping.> She slowly walked over to Ash and set the note down. She looked at his face. It was probably the last time she was ever going to see it. She gently touched his face and studied his facial features. She leaned in a little and hesitated. She knew this was her only chance to do it. She kissed Ash on lips. After a moment, she looked at him one last time and went out of the tent. She went back to her tent and packed up her stuff. She knew the sun was rising and they would wake up soon. She walked out of the tent and looked at Ash's tent. She turned away as tears started to come down her cheeks. She walked away and after a moment, she ran away and headed for Cerulean City. That was the last she ever saw of Ash.
~~~~ (Flashback ends)
Wind was waving a hand in her face.
"Hello? Anybody home??" Rain disposed her thoughts.
"What? I'm awake." Wind laughed.
"What do u want to eat?"
"I'll take a bowl of cereal."
"Want some milk with that?"
"Yeah, sure." Wind went over and got a bowl of cereal for Rain and himself. He poured milk into the two bowls and walked back to the table. He set a bowl in front of Rain and one in front of himself. He looked at Rain who seemed to be spacing out again. He tapped her on the shoulder.
"Hello?" Rain jumped.
"What?" Wind pointed at the bowl of cereal in front of her. She began eating. It was quiet and the chief wasn't around since he was in the bathroom.
"So what's your favorite member of Linkin Park?" Rain looked up from eating her cereal.
"Um... I don't know, really. I mean, Joe is cool and Mike is cute, and Chester rocks. Pheonix and Brad rules, and Rob's nice." Wind had a confused look on his face. He didn't know that there were that many people in Linkin Park.
"Uh... Right." Rain laughed.
"Don't you listen to Linkin Park?" Wind shook his head while Rain laughed some more.
"Okay, well. Joe does the turntables, Mike is the emcee and singer, Chester is also the singer, Pheonix play the bass, Brad does the guitar, and Rob does the drums."
"I'll have a hard time remembering who's who..." Rain laughed and continued eating. Rain reached into her pocket and took out her wallet. She took out 6 pictures; Joe, Mike, Chester, Pheonix, Brad, and Rob. She put them all in front of Wind. Wind had a questionable look on his face.
"You keep pictures of them in your wallet??" Rain blushed.
"Yeah." Wind looked at the pictures. Rain pointed to each member and named them. Wind smiled.
"I think I know them now." Rain laughed. She grabbed the pictures and put them in her wallet. She looked at Joe's picture a little longer and let out a sigh. Wind looked over her shoulder. Rain noticed Wind and quickly put the picture away, blushing.
"I think I know your favorite member now." Wind smiled and continued eating.
"Just don't tell my dad. He'll freak out if he found out I like some 'punk' from a rock band." Wind laughed and they both continued eating. The chief came back from the bathroom (wonder what took him so long....).
"So, what's on the menu?" The two agents looked up.
"Cereal." They continued eating as the chief looked at them awkwardly. He got up and got a bowl of cereal like everyone else, and sat back down. Rain and Wind finished and went to throw their trash away. Something caught Rain's eye and she looked in the direction.
A/N: Sorta a cliffhanger. Well, I decided to stop there since it was getting kinda long. Well, hope u keep reading my stories. Part 4's comin soon.
