Just to say: I don't own Pokemon in any way, shape, or form, so don't yell at me. I do own the characters in this story: Maya; Kevin; Dillon; Salina and Drake; and anyone who isn't important enough to have their name here.

A/N: This is my first time posting on the Pokemon Tower, and I don’t know much about romance stuff. You won't find too much of that in here. You will find A WHOLE LOT of comedy and stupidity, because that's just my thing.

Kevin Stone was the one, the only, and the coolest of all pokemon masters. He was the best of the best, and the smartest and most strategic of all. And then, he woke up, and remembered that he wasn’t his idol, Ash Ketchum.

So that's where we stand. Kevin and his dreams to be like his idol. He looked up at the sky, thinking perhaps he would also see some rare, legendary pokemon. All he saw was a few Pidgys about to decorate his neighbor’s car.

In just a few minutes, it would be seven o' clock, and time for Kevin to meet his first pokemon. How awesome would that be? To get a best friend like Ash found in Pikachu... That would be amazing. Of course, he wasn't going to be getting a Pikachu. He was living in a not-so-common-region called Haze. The Haze area wasn't the brightest of all, and not the biggest, but it did give you a fun group of starter pokemon to choose from. Ditto, Eevee, or Jigglypuff. Those three were given because of the low amount of fire and water element pokemon in the area. There were mostly neutral pokemon, found in any terrain.

As the clock turned over, Kevin grabbed his backpack, and ran to the laboratory. There was no way he was going to be late! Like he always said, "an idol is important. Learn from their mistakes". Actually, he had never said that, but it made since, so why not?

Professor Dogwood was standing by the door of the lab. She looked happily at Kevin and said, "Thanks for being here right on time, you can have the first choice at a pokemon." She smiled and let her purple hair drape down over her shoulder. "Ditto, Eevee, or Jigglypuff."

They stood there waiting for the other two trainers for a few minutes, and then they went in one at a time. Kevin was first. He looked around the room as he entered. There were men and women in white lab coats scattered about, and computers laced the walls. He saw just ahead of him was a giant poke ball with three white circles on it. The white circles each had a button on them. Kevin figured it was better of him not to push it.

"Okay Kevin, it's your big day. Here are the three pokemon," Professor Dogwood said pointing to the large poke ball, "You get your choice, but choose wisely, because this will be your partner for life."

"Right." Kevin thought, "Choose wisely."

He didn't know which pokemon was in what poke ball, which seemed entirely unfair, so he closed his eyes and let his hand choose what button to press. The one he picked was on the far left. The little circle moved upward, and like an elevator, pulled up the poke ball. The Professor opened it, and revealed a furry little fox pokemon.

The little Eevee shook his head back and forth and stretched out. He looked up at Kevin and did something between a purr and a sigh. He acted catlike, and rubbed up against Kevin's legs. Kevin smiled at the Eevee and said, "I'm glad I picked this one. I really wanted it." He picked up the pokemon and held him like he used to hold his cat, leaning against his shoulder. The happy little Eevee purred again and licked at Kevin's ear.

"I think that Eevee was an excellent choice. He is a fast learner, along with a fast grower, so he'll get stronger quicker. He's also the cutest thing on four paws, so you might get some girls attracted to you because of him." Professor Dogwood laughed and pet the pokemon on the head. "Good luck with your journey. I bet that you'll be just as strong as Ash. Infact, I know you will."

"I hope so." Kevin said before leaving. Eevee was perched happily on his shoulder. He looked at the poke ball that he was in before, and shoved it in his jacket. Who needed it? The other two trainers looked at the Eevee with awe, and complimented on how it was the coolest ever. Well, he did have blue fur on his tail, but the professor just said it was a poke-birthmark.

Kevin looked at all of the supplies in his bag one last time before he put it over his shoulder. He got on his bike and waved goodbye to all of his old friends and family. Then he sped off toward the nearest city. On the way he planned to train his Eevee to at least beat some of the weaker pokemon in one attack. Right now though, all Eevee was doing was getting used to Kevin. There was no telling what Eevee was thinking, but he looked like he was happy, eager, and even a little bit confused.
