Dillon sighed as he starred hoplessly at the old town of Cerealeon. There was so little left of it's beauty since the bombing. There was only a speck of a gym. The Pokemon Center and Police Station were still standing, but didn't look to lovely. The shops were all delapidating, and the little bit of people whos homes weren't destroyed are boarding.

He didn't really have a home before the bombing. His entire family, his mother and father, little sister, and baby brother were all killed by Geovanni in a desperate attempt to take over the city of Vermilion. So he ran as far he could before he had to go into the funds he had saved. His old allowance was all he had. The rest of the money was either torn up, or too covered in blood to salvage. He had only a measly 80 dollars. He had been saving it up to buy a video game. Now he just wanted to buy food.

"I don't know where I belong." He said before pulling his knees to his chest and crying for the third time that hour. His cloths were all so torn up and dirty, and he didn't have anything else. He spent as little money as possible, and only on food. Mostly from a fast food restaraunt or a bread store. Not to say he was spoiled though, because all the running he did made him lose more wieght than he gained. He had to run away when people figured out who he was. The telivision had labled him as dead, many times, and the officers were getting more and more witnesses saying otherwise.

He hadn't been sold out in Cerealeon yet, but he knew it would come. He didn't have anyone to look to for help if he was sick, because the doctors would surly know that he was the dead boy. Dillon McDowell, the lost boy that didn't exist. But in the least of the troubles, he didn't have any bills to pay off for his parents.

Yes, he had once returned to Vermelion, the place where he was born and raised. He loved that town. He love it all the way from it's food to his girlfriend. Salina. They were a couple of wild fifteen year olds, yes, and they loved eachother very much. When she heard he had died she was crushed, so he had to set that right with her. And now, she had stopped sending him letters. She didn't care anymore. She said she had found a real boyfriend, who cared about every strand of hair on her head. She said she didn't love him anymore. She said she loved, Drake.

So now, he didn't have anyone, anyone human that is. He did still have his fathers pokemon. He had always been with his owner, but that day he was hurt, and in the pokemon center. He didn't have a chance to help him. So now, he stayed with Dillon. A boy and his dog, slightly different. More like, an idiot who defied certain death and his Mightyena who was too sick to help his owner defy it. Yeah, that just about covered it.

He looked at the path that would lead him to the Viridean. The town of the forests. But now he just wanted to leave Cerealion, before the people found him out, so he would have a place to go after he was found out again. He looked at the trail, and began to run at a high speed, Mightyena right behind him. It didn't take too long before he found himself on the ground, facing a boy a year or two younger than him. The boy had read hair, a brown vest, a purple and orange striped shirt, and an oldly colored Eevee and Vulpix by his side. Who was he? And why didn't he just get up and yell at him? Maybe he was different than other trainers. Maybe he was unique... Maybe, a friend. No! He couldn't let himself get all delusional about a possible friendship. There was no possabillity.

"I'm sorry." Dillon mumbled. He looked up at the boy once more who said,

"Oh it was totally my fault. I didn't look where I was going cuz I was too busy yelling at HER!" He griped. "That and I was being my normal stupid self, so don't blame yourself. God you look like a peice a crap, what have you been doing? Army training?"

"Ah, Kevin!!" Maya yelled angrilly. "You can't just say that to people, what are you doing?"

"I'm just sayin'." Kevin mumbled. He put his hand out and helped Dillon to his feet. "Sorry. Hey, do you wanna hang out with me? I can get you some new cloths too. Whaddaya say?"

"Why?" Dillon asked. "Do you know who I am?"

"Nope."

"Well I do!" Maya said, snapping her fingers. "Your Dillon McDowell! You were proclaimed dead when your family was killed and you were nowhere to be found! Hey, I heard that you were still alive..."

"I didn't die. I just, didn't live. I don't exist anymore, and I don't have an ID." Dillon mumbled. "I don't want the police to find me, so I have to leave now." He started to run, but soon found Kevin holding on to his arm.

"You don't have to go! I wasn't joking, do you want to come with us? You can make three, which might stop people from thinking I'm travelling with my girlfriend. Ew. She isn't by the way, she's just a piece of gum stuck to my shoe." Dillon laughed. He did indeed join up with Kevin and Maya, and they did buy him new cloths.

So, the green haired boy (they dyed it from brown so he wouldn't be recignized) , now clothed in a black hoodie and baggy pants, introduced his two pokemon Mightyena and Linoon. The two pokemon were best friends, and he joked about them being more. He also met Eevee and Dusk without them growling like crazy at him, and then Ponyta, Rapadash, and Charmeleon (Maya's starter).

So, perhaps a friend was just what Dillon needed, along with a nice shower and new cloths. Now, Kevin, proud that he made a new friend, even if he isn't supposed to exist, has a smile on his face. Things are looking up for him, and things are getting less quiet. In some ways, he was glad he had met Maya. She kept him talking to a point where it hurt. And she helped him meet Dillon. Those were two good reasons. Those, and the fact that she was cute. But he wasn't about to admit that fact. In her opinion, he called her fat and ugly. We'll see if that area lights up too.
