We rejoin our friends whilst Kevin is walking out of the Marsh Gym. He had just, after repeated attemps, won his 5th badge. (Oh my gosh! I skipped five whole badges! But I really wanna get this finished up by 10, so cry me a river. FYI; he has the cascade, marsh, thunder, volcano, and rainbow badge.>.< don't hurt me for skipping time!!!) There isn't much happaning, as the nearest gym was three days away. (Give or take the time they sleep...)

The baby Eevees eyes opened about a week before, and even though it took some (or a lot) work to make their mother understand, she had to give them up. They put them in a box with a sign that said: One Eevee pup; $5.00.

Well, they got ten dollars out of it, but Espeon wouldn't let the smallest one out of the box. So finally, they closed, five dollars short of fifteen. But neither Espeon or Umbreon would let Kevin sell the runt. They looked down on it like it was their only child who needed them. And they cared for it dearly. It was the only one of the pups that had blue markings on it too. Connections?

Maya seemed drawn to the Eevee. She was the only one of the three of them that Espeon even let hold it. And she did. She carried it around with her daily like misty had togepi. And Kevin only considered it to be like that cuz he knew everything about Ash's wife from her hair color to her blood type!

Maya took care of Espeon some, but mostly left that to Kevin. Espeon had voluntarily become one of Kevin's pokemon because she wanted to be with Umbreon. Kevin had six now. Vulpix (who will evolve soon I PROMISE!!), Umbreon, Espeon, Ditto, Pidgy and Gloom. (?_? am I the only one who noticed that he gained a few pokemon?)

"Oh my gosh, how did it get to be sunset already?" Dillon said as he collapsed onto the soft grass. Maya was rolling out her sleeping bag.

"Well," She said, "At least we're at the top of a hill. Isn't the veiw beutiful?" She turned and walked out of sight to change, giving time for Dillon and Kevin to change into their own pagamas. When she returned Dillon was trying to start a fire, and Kevin was sitting at the top off the hill, just out of hearing range of her and Dillon.

"Hey D" She said patting him on the shoulder. He looked up and saw her walk up the cliff. He didn't want to follow, as much as her REALLY wanted to get in on the details about those two. He wanted them to just date, cuz with all the blushing and starring that was going on between them, it was getting old.

"Kevin?" Maya asked as she came up behind him. He turned around and looked at her. She sat down, not too close to him, but not too far away either. Maybe a foot. "Are you okay?"

"Hmm? Oh, no." He said. "...I mean yeah. sorry."

"What's up?"

"Today...Today was Blare's birthday, and I didn't even think about it until just now. Her birthday was always like that. I hated myself for that habit. I would always end up buying her a late birthday gift.”

“Oh.” Maya said. Before she could go on Kevin was.

“Maya, I always screw things up, just like I probably did when I met you and Dillon. I always get off on the wrong foot!!!” Kevin said upset. “I’m such a loser!”

“You are not!” Maya yelled “Your the kindest, funniest, and the most in charge guy I know!”

Dillon looked shocked. “I didn’t know I was that cool. It sounds like what my neighbor said she looks for in a guy: nice, sense of humor, dependable... I didn’t know I had those qualities...”

“You do. And between us,” she said scooting closer, “That’s what I see in a guy too.”

“Maya I-” He didn’t say anything, he just let her place her head on his shoulder. He used his free hand to comb through her hair, and finally said, “I guess I did do something right.”
