A/N: Hey dudes, did you like my little romance moment? I guess I haven't put in too many of those, but that's okay, because I intend to put in more. (I think) That and I really want to get him through to Pewter. That's about where I'm gonna stop. (sorry)

Kevin woke early that next morning. Even before Espeon rose to feed her pup. He didn't know why he couldn't sleep. He had woke at least seven times. He was desperatly tired, but he still didn't sleep. He wasn't able to.

Two nights ago he shared something special with Maya. Feelings. But now that they were coming up on Pewter, he was worried about Brock. That was one gym badge that he didn't think he would earn. He was said to be stronger than all of the Elite Four put together, and also than all the gym leaders. He was undefeated, but was said to give badges to whom he though worthy. Would Kevin be worthy?

He turned his head to Maya, sleeping peacefully with her hair spread out in many directions over the pillow. She had her lips slightly parted and her entire body was giving off a glow in the darkness. She looked like an angel to him.

She's so kind. Kevin thought I can't believe my sister wanted her dead. I don't want her dead. I don't want her to be out of my sight. I think, I think I love her.

"I love you too..." Maya said turning over in her sleep. Kevin thought at first he had spoken out loud, but realized she was dreaming. If only she hadn't been. That would have been nice.

"Kevin, you look like you didn't sleep at all!!" Dillon said stretching out. They were just crossing over the city limits of Pewter City. He didn't know how right he was.

Dillon had noticed that over a two day span Kevin and Maya had been getting closer. He knew they liked eachother, and that they were destaned to be together, but he was around three years older than them, and he didn't want them to get themselves in over their heads. He watched now as they walked a little ahead and held hands, their fingers intertwining to become one. He hoped they knew what they were doing, because whoever said love conquers all, lied. He would be the one who knew that too.

It was the first time in a while he had been thinking about Salina. She was so close to him. He looked at Maya and Kevin and just had flashbacks.

(Flash Back)

"Dillon, when we get married, do you want to wear a white or black tuxedo?" She said. Her blonde, curly hair draped down over her shoulders, falling to her lower back. She had on rose pink lipstick and her shining blue eyes brought it out.

"Hmm?" Dillon asked, averting his gaze from the sidewalk to her eyes. They were pools of pure blue, untainted by pain and greif. "What? I didn't hear you"

"White or black, what do you want to wear to our wedding?" She asked again, walking closer and holding hands with him.

"It completly depends on what would go better with your dress that day. I want everything to be perfact, like you." He replied, letting go of her hand and playing with her curls.

"That's so sweet! I hope we never fight. I don't think we ever will."

"No, it wouldn't happen"

"Dillon, what if a war broke out, and we had to fight eachother?"

"Well, I wouldn't fight you. I'll never fight you, even if my comrads and friends are dying around me. I would just sit and stare at you. Your my only hope in life."

"Me too. Dillon, I love you." Salina said leaning her head on his shoulder.

"I love you too, and I always will."

(End Flash Back)

Before he knew what was happaning, tears had made their way down Dillon's cheeks, splashing down on his face. He kept his promise, and she had kept hers. They didn't fight eachother, nomatter how much Kevin and Maya needed help, or how much Drake needed her help, neither of them faught.

He looked at Kevin and Maya's hands, as they slowly swung back and fourth whilst still entangled in the other's. He could remember vividly when it was his and Salina's hands. He remembered the sweet scent of her perfume mixing with the wildflowers. He could still taste the chocolates they fed to each other.

What made me let her go? Why didn't I go there and stop her from dating Drake? I don't understand it, it's like it wasn't me who read the letter. Like I wasn't the one who read it. Why didn't I make a statement. I didn't even have a chance.

He wiped his face and sniffed, then ran in-between the two love birds in front of him to point to Pewter city. The Gym, just on the outskirts of town, looked as though it were built of rocks.

"Right!" Kevin yelled happily, "I'm gonna go kick his butt!"

"Don't get ahead of yourself." Dillon said quietly. "You'll regret it."

"What do you know?" Kevin yelled at him.

"I think Dillon has a point." Maya said. "You don't wanna get in over your head do you?" She smiled and put her hair behind her ear. It was still so short to her. She couldn't get used to it.

On entering the gym, Kevin saw two men and a woman talking. The woman had shoulder length red hair, with a bandana in it. She was holding a sleeping baby that looked no older than a year. The woman was laughing happily, and her eye's were shining with joy.

The man who stopped talking to wave at Kevin, Maya, and Dillon had Spiky brown hair. He was tan, and wore a pair of camouflage pants and a black tank top. He had muscular arms and legs, but his face was that of a gentle, calm person.

The last man was standing close to the woman. He had jet-black hair that was mainly covered by a pokemon league cap. He had a light tan skin tone, just past peach, and a friendly smile. He wore a pair of baggy black jeans, a black tee shirt with a green tank top over it, and green gloves with the finger's cut out. He turned when the other man waved and looked to the teenagers.

"Hi!" He said happily, walking towards them. He put his hand out to Kevin and said, "I'm Ash, I wanna be the greatest Pokemon Master of them all, what's your name?"

"Uh...I'm uh..." Kevin said shaking his hand. "Kevin. I'm Kevin, and I'm here to challenge Brock."

"Really," Ash said, "Well, I guess that would be a good reason to be in the gym hunh?"

"Your really Ash Ketchum?" Maya said looking at him. "Why aren't you at the pokemon league?"

"The next competition isn't for a week, I had nothing to do up there!" Ash said laughing. He stopped when he heard the soft crys of the little baby the woman, whom Kevin assumed was Misty, had been holding. Ash jogged over to her and held the child to his chest, quietly humming a lullaby into her ear. She fell asleep again, and he turned back to Kevin. "So you wanna be a pokemon master?"

"Uh...Yeah I guess." Kevin said. He looked at the child, sleeping so soundly. He then noticed Misty pick up a small baby bag, and look at Ash.

"Well, we're gonna leave you to Brock." Ash said before saying goodbye. Once he and Misty were gone, Brock approached Kevin. He looked down at him towering to be maybe seven feet. (He now makes me feel short...I'm only five foot four. And a half. =)

"So, you want to challenge me? Fine, the arena is this way." He said in a light tone. He walked towards a doorway, and Kevin followed. Maya started to follow, but before she could She was grabbed by a net. She went to scream, but it was all silent.

"You aren't going to get away this time!" Drake yelled. He failed to call Salina shadow or whatever it was that he did, but just yelled, "Kill him!"

She looked at Drake and shook her head. "I can't." She said. He rolled his eyes and said,

"If you don't have his head when you get back to the base, then I'll have yours. See you there sweetie."

He vanished, leaving just Dillon, Salina, and a knife. Dillon stared into her eyes with fear, not knowing what she would do. She looked down at him with a fire in her eyes. Her eyes...They were cold now. They looked like stones, not gems. What had happened?

"Salina?" Dillon asked, he watched her move towards him. Her eyes were saying purely that she was going to kill him. He looked at her with greif. "Can you answer me one question before I die?"

"I shouldn't, but since you'll be dead, you won't be able to jeperdise anything, so why not? One Question, go."

"Why did you leave me?" Dillon said. He watched her drop the knife in her hand, slitting her leg as it fell.

"I didn't want you." She replied. She picked up the knife. "Any last words?"

"Yeah, white."

"White, what does that mean?"

"That's the color tuxedo I wear when I dream of our wedding. White."

Her eyes closed and drew tears. She looked like she was remembering exactly what he had earlier. She fell to her knees and let her tears over take her. Dillon crawled over and held her in his arms. She took the knife, still too sad to even see, and told him to get away from her.

"Shut up and put away the knife." Dillon said, not even fearing his life anymore. "I missed you."

"Dillon, why did I leave you? You were all I wanted, all I dreamed of." Salina cried into his shoulder. He held her, taking the rocket cap off her head, he said,

"I don't know, but I don't want you to ever do that again. I love you."

She cried harder and said, "I love you too."

"Salina, do you know where Drake is taking my friend?" He asked, tilting her head towards his.

"Yes. But if I take you, they'll kill me. You wouldn't believe the secretsy of Team Rocket. We've been tailing you guys for two days without notice."

"Dillon!" Kevin yelled, running into the room with brock behind him. "What happened, I heard somthing."

"Hey, where's that girl who was with you?" Brock asked confused. (Just like good ol' Brock to ask about the girl ^^)

"Maya?" Kevin asked. He was about to say somthing else when he spotted the ribbon usually in Maya's hair, and also that Salina was in the room. "Where is Maya?"

"Kevin, she, well, team rocket...."

"What? No, where is she, as in LOCATION!"

"At the Mill. That's where our new base is." Salina said. Kevin looked at her strangly.

"You're Salina aren't you?"

"Yes."

"You must be the Salina that Dillon kept having nightmares about. It kept me and Maya up for hours listening to him cry in his sleep. The name Salina just occored a lot so we guessed... Any way, I gotta go to the Mill!"

"Kevin, what about our battle?" Brock asked. He looked into the other room where the pokemon, Umbreon and Golem, were staring out into the room.

"Oh! Return Umbreon!" He yelled "I quit, your too strong!"

"Wait a sec, all we did was release the pokemon." Brock said, "You don't even know how strong I may be."

"Okay, fine, I just wanna find Maya, I don't think I have the right to the badge if she isn't here. She helped me train."

"Good choice. Okay then, I'm gonna help you find her!" Brock said happily. "It's been so long since I've actually had issues against any team rocket members, it feels sorta good!"

(Moment of temptation. I WANT TO PUT JESSIE JAMES AND MEOWTH IN HERE SO BAD IT HURTS! I swear, wouldn't it be awesome if they did appear. I don't know how I could fit them in though...>.<"! I want them in soooooo bad now!!! It's in my blood...)

"Now we go find her, right?" Kevin asked

"But there isn't a way in without a password..." Salina said.

"That's where you come in, now we find her, okay?" Kevin asked again

"I only know half, Drake knows the other." Salina replied.

"But we can figure it out, now we go find her right?" Kevin yet again asked

"I know it." Brock said triumphantly. "At least I used to. Is it still "Wild-Child"?"

"Now we find her."

"That must be it! I know the "Wild" part!"

"Okay, now we go find her." Kevin said eagerly. "PLEASE!!!"
