Part Two. Ash walked back to the camp with May's journal. He saw May asleep in her sleeping bag. He quietly walked over and put her journal in her backpack. He went over to his sleeping bag and quietly slipped in. ‘Why did I read her journal?’ He thought. ‘Now I can’t look her in the face anymore without blushing like crazy!’ He looked over at May, who was still asleep in her sleeping bag. ‘I hope she won’t hate me.’ He turned around and went to sleep. The next morning, Ash woke up and saw that May wasn’t in her sleeping bag. He looked at his watch. “6:15? Does she wake up early everyday?” He got up and changed out of his pajamas and went to see if May was at the lake again. He passed through the woods and finally made it to the lake. Just like last night, May was there. “May what are you doing up at 6:15?” “Just looking at the lake. “Oh.” He walked over and sat next to May on the big rock. “May do you always wake up at 6:00?” “Not always. Just sometimes.” “I see. So do you wanna stay out here for a little while? “I guess so, but what are we gonna do up here?” “I dunno. We could probably just watch the sun rise.” “Okay sure.” May opened her journal and began writing a new entry. She wrote for about five minutes before- “May look.” She turned around and saw the sun rise. She smiled and finished off her entry. “I’m gonna go get something to eat Ash.” “Wait!” “Why what’s wrong?” “Well I kinda have to tell you something.” “Okay.” “Well you see. Last night when we were sitting here last night, and when you left to go to bed, you left your journal on the rock.” “You read it didn’t you?” “I’m sorry May! I didn’t mean to see the last entry.” “How could you Ash!?” “May I’m really sorry.” May grabbed her journal and ran back to the campsite. ‘How could he? Now he knows that I like him! How am I gonna be able to look him at him in the face?’ End of Part Two.
