Chapter Four 'You idiots! You failed to even steal a fake!' Cyrus was punishing Dean and Terry for their incompetence. 'We're sorry Master Cyrus, right Terry?' 'Yes, yes, yes, Master. It won't happen next time!' Terry and Dean were on their knees begging for forgiveness. 'Get up! There won't be a next time, fools!' Cyrus slapped them both round the face, 'You are hereby, decommissioned!' 'No!' 'Master! No!' 'Leave this room with your heads hung in shame! You will never come near the Eterna or Veilstone Buildings again! Do I make myself clear?' 'Yes, Master' Dean muttered. 'And I am no longer your Master!' Cyrus shouted as they turned tail and whisked their way to the door. After his Mum had seen him and worried over him, Spook left the Centre with Slash and set out to find Lola. His dreams would begin today. He would set off from home tonight with Lola and then become the greatest trainer ever. Lola was at the front door to the lab. Spook ran up to her. 'Hey, Lola' he said. 'Oh, hey, Spook.' She smiled her golden smile and looked him up and down. 'You seem to have recovered well. Where is Slash?' she asked. 'In his PokŽ Ball. Why?' ''Cos I was going to run away again, and I want you to come with me.' 'Run away!' Spook said loudly. 'Sshh! Uncle doesn't know! And he's not going to find out until tomorrow' she whispered back. 'I'm not coming with you! You're just going to rejoin Galactic and I'm not going to get involved.' 'I'm not going if you don't!' The truth was, Lola liked Spook, a lot. But he was to stupid and na•ve to see that. She loved the way he persevered and showed confidence in everything that he did. She also liked the way he had so much faith in such a weak PokŽmon, that should be pretty strong. 'Then you will be staying here!' Spook liked Lola as well. Her hair was shiny, she was funny and she had an amazing smile. But he had never had a way with girls, so he didn't mention her features. 'But, Spook. Haven't you always wanted to escape and become a trainer? Uncle told me that your house is small; your Dad left when you were born and your Mum gives you a hard time because of it. Doesn't that give you an even better reason to leave?' She was begging now. If this didn't work, she would have to go it alone. 'What are your reasons for running away, Lola?' Spook asked finally. 'I hate doing the same routine day in day out with Uncle.' 'We'll have to go back to my house so I can supplies.' Lola also loved the way he worried about things a lot. 'So you're coming?' Spook sighed. 'Yes.' Lola was delighted, but she didn't show it. She just hugged Spook and ran inside. Spook went all red. Then Lola ran back out carrying a bag. 'Let's go to your place then!' Dean was hovering around the TV Company Building in Jubilife. He was going to bust in and get some money. Terry was there too. He was back up. Dean released his Magmar and it shot a fireball through the doors. They exploded and sent smoke and sparks everywhere. A hole was in the wall behind the Lotto Desk. Many people were cowering under tables and behind couches. Pinsir ran in and picked up a couch that three people were clinging onto. He cut it in two and the people fell down and crawled away to hide behind the table. Dean jumped onto the Lotto Desk and looked at Felicity, the Ticket Drawer. 'Give me all the prizes and money! Now!' Dean shouted. Magmar shot another fireball through the ceiling, causing more panic amongst the guests and tourists. Felicity began dumping money into a bag filled with Master Balls, EXP. Shares and Ultra Balls. Terry ran in and shouted to Dean, 'Boss! It's the boy and girl from the lab! They're running this way!' Dean swore and jumped off of the desk. 'Everyone stay down!' He turned to Magmar. 'Keep an eye on them! And if anyone tries to make a break for it-' he drew his hand across his neck. Magmar nodded and turned to look at the cowering people as Dean ran outside with the bag slung over his shoulder. They first saw the burning when they were traveling to Spook's house that evening. They then heard screams, and then they saw Dean, Terry and Pinsir. They ran over to them and Lola released Glamour. 'I should have known this was Galactic's doing!' she said. 'Actually, we got fired. But we needed the money to start again so-' 'So get a job!' Spook butted in. 'Spook, right? Good to see you again. How's the Scyther? Oh, right, I forgot I put him in hospital.' Dean said sarcastically. 'Yes, you did, but he's here and ready to stop your plans!' Another explosion came from inside the building, followed by a flying Magmar. Everyone turned around to see a silhouette man in the doorway of the burning building. People were fleeing behind him and running to safety. An Electrode rolled out in front of the man. Another one followed it. The man must have had three and used one's Explosion to send Magmar away. 'Who's invading my company?' the man shouted. The Manager had come to the rescue! Dean and Terry turned and ran, leaving the bag behind. Pinsir followed, carrying a fainted Magmar. 'Thank you, sir' Spook said. 'Call me Mr. Tyrok. And please, don't mention it.' 'No. We mean it! We would have been toast if you hadn't have come when you did' Lola said. 'Everyone is safe, that's all that matters' Mr. Tyrok said. The two children nodded. 'We failed again!' Terry cried out. Pinsir was sitting beside him. 'We'll make sure those kids aren't near us next time. They have some pretty powerful friends though' Dean said angrily. The two men had just set up camp, and were getting ready for their meal that consisted of berries and herbs that they had found. Magmar was still unconscious. Dean was nice to his PokŽmon, but not anyone else's. His current PokŽmon were Magmar, Gligar and Skarmory. Terry's were Pinsir, Skorupi, Drifloon and Houndour. But they mainly used Pinsir and Magmar for they were the best for scaring people. 'Maybe tomorrow we could try steal from Oreburgh's PokŽMart' Terry suggested. 'That is one of the best ideas you've ever had, Terry.' 'Thank you. I do try to be smar-' 'Except that the boy lives there!' Dean shouted. 'Oh. Well... How about Floroam-' 'Just shut up! This is why I do the planning!' He smiled. 'And I've got one right now.' Spook knew that his Mum would react in the same way that he did. 'Running away? I won't let you!' is what she had said. But Spook managed to convince her not to tell Lola that he had told her and to not tell Rowan. He picked out some food, water, sleeping bags and some new clothes and ran out of the house, holding Lola's hand, trying to cover up what he had just done. 'Where to first?' Lola asked after they managed to get back in to Jubilife, where the Sinnoh Fire Department was finishing off the spraying of the TV Station. 'I want to see someone first. She lives in Hearthome. She once promised me something.' Lola blushed. Who was this girl? Was she competition for Spook? Lola made a quick excuse to avoid going near there. 'How about you catch a PokŽmon to battle the Gym in Oreburgh?' Spook pondered for a second. It seemed as if Lola didn't want to see Bebe. 'It's a good idea. I'll need a good one though.' 'I know just the guy!' Lola said excitedly. So Spook was starting his dream earlier than expected. Lola would give him a PokŽmon, Roark, the Gym Leader, would give Spook a battle, and Bebe would wait for him until the time came. The plan was to infiltrate the Eterna PokŽmon Centre and steal all of the PokŽmon. Dean's Gligar was on his shoulder, ready to strike through the doors. Terry was inside, pretending that his Drifloon was injured. 'I'm afraid that there is nothing wrong with your PokŽmon...' said Nurse Joy. That was the cue. Dean burst through the doors and Gligar swooped and looped around the Centre. Dean released his Magmar and commanded a Flamethrower. The Magmar blasted a hole through the wall and Terry jumped through it. There were PokŽmon and PokŽ Balls galore back there! Terry jumped up and clapped, then he set to work.
