Sinking Love Disclaimer: No, I don’t own pokemon… however; I do own a certain Mr. Helreo Jr who does not feature at all in this story. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jessie pulled at her dress uncomfortably as James did it up at the back. “You look fine Jess, just relax!” James said easily, finishing what he was doing and then began to brush his hair. “Did we have to go to this stupid 20th anniversary of the film ‘Titanic’?” Jessie asked, tying her hair back in a ‘Rose’ style. “Yes…now stop complaining!” James laughed, however he shut up quickly as Jessie pulled out a large mallet…rather like Misty’s. The two straightened up, grabbed their coats and got ready to leave. But, unlike James who was feeling as happy as ever, Jessie had an odd feeling about that night…a nagging feeling that wouldn’t go away for some time… Every night in my dreams I see you. I feel you. That is how I know you go on. Once they got there, Jessie and James undertook a role reversal. James was talking to a group of merry ‘Titanic’ fans, whilst Jessie was perched uncomfortably on a stool, sipping some flavoured water. James was dressed as ‘Jack’, and faintly gestured towards Jessie every time he spoke of ‘Rose’. After some of his friends had left to make a speech, James turned his attention to Jessie, only then realising how uncomfortable she looked. “Hey Jessie.” James whispered to her. Far across the distance And spaces between us You have come to show you go on. Jessie looked up and faintly smiled. “Hi James, having fun?” She asked politely. James frowned: she seemed cold towards him. He sat down besides her, and she looked towards the dance floor, jealousy evident towards the couples twirling around. James smiled, he had forgotten Jessie had been a dancer as a child, and offered her his hand after standing in front of her. “Jessie, may I have this dance?” Jessie grinned and took James’ hand. Nervously they approached the floor, but soon were swept up in the motion of the other couples and were absorbed in their dance. Song after song they grooved, until the DJ took a break, and Jessie and James sat down. “Wow! Thanks for that James!” Jessie exclaimed, panting and rubbing her aching feet. James grinned in reply, picked Jessie up, much to her surprise, and led her to a cool, shady corner. James put her down, and Jessie giggled warmly. The two locked eyes for the first time, and James slid his arm around Jessie’s waist. She threw both her arms around his neck, and the two kissed happily. As soon as they broke apart, James whispered, “I love you Jessie.” And she in turn replied, “I love you too, James.” Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on Once more you open the door And you're here in my heart And my heart will go on and on Jessie and James held hands for a couple of hours, one not going anywhere without the other. Soon the evening came to its climax, and everyone quietened down, to reveal a replica ship, the same size, and built in exactly the same way as the real Titanic. Everyone gasped, and Jessie felt James wrap his arms around her cold shoulders as they both stared at the ship. A large man announced that everyone would be allowed on board before they evacuated the area and allowed the ship to crash and sink, just like the one in the film. Everyone agreed, and flooded inside, James taking Jessie to where he knew the third class cabins would be. Love can touch us one time And last for a lifetime And never let go till we're gone Jessie giggled as James kissed her on top of the bed, but neither of them felt ready to go any further just yet. “Never mind, always tomorrow.” James said, winking. Jessie slapped him playfully, and the two chatted for what seemed like hours. Much extending the hour they were allowed on board the sinking ship… “ALL OFF!” The large man shouted several times, but neither Jessie nor James heard. A bell was rung, which they thought was a realistic sound effect, and they were kissing when the final warning siren went off. Names were read out on a list, and when Jessie and James’s names were read out, a silly kid said “yes” instead. So ‘Titanic 2’ began to sink… Love was when I loved you One true time I hold to In my life we'll always go on James saw water seep up through the floor, and began to panic. He knew what was happening, and feared for his and Jessie’s safety. He picked her up and carried her across to the door, water now up to his knees. Knowing the doors were now locked, which they were, James put Jessie down, grabbed a metal bed post and knocked the door down. Then he and Jessie waded through the water now past their waists, up the stairs. There was not as much water on that level, but there were no exits there. James hoisted Jessie onto his shoulders as though she was a child, and climbed the stairs. The first class floor had many portholes, which water was flooding through. It also had an emergency exit, which Jessie and James crawled through, surrounded by floating debris. Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on Once more you open the door And you're here in my heart And my heart will go on and on Outside, James was surrounded in sea water. He was thinking the same thoughts as Jack at that moment, where was Rose? He saw a small piece of her dress material floating around, and yelled, “JESSIE!” Jessie, who was sitting on a large wooden door that was floating around, heard her love’s call and glanced to her left. About 20 foot away swam her beloved, frantically searching, the icy cold water designed to be realistic enveloping him. “JAMES!” She yelled back, looking around for the shore. There was none to be seen, as she was round the back of the ship. Tears streaming down her face, one hand clutching her torn dress, she yelled once again. James looked towards her, his eyes brightening. He flailed feebly against the strong current, having used all his energy on carrying Jessie. Jessie knew this, and her heart was broken because of it. She stretched out a hand in a feeble attempt to save him, but James was overwhelmed by the black water, and only managed to do one thing before disappearing altogether. And that thing was to stick in Jessie’s mind forever…he mouthed ‘I love you’. Jessie chocked back sobs, as she watched James’s hand sink beneath the waves. She let out a piercing scream, of loss and sorrow, and she briefly saw the lights of a rescue boat, before slumping down into unconsciousness, unwillingly mumbling the words: You're here, there's nothing I fear, And I know that my heart will go on We'll stay forever this way You are safe in my heart And my heart will go on and on ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sad I know, but I wanted to write a really sad one, send me your reviews!!! Thanks! ^_^
