“Celebi? Will... will he die?” I slowly ask.

*He will if you don’t do something soon.* she replies.

My tears continue to fall, with me soaking in the realization that I might lose Brock... forever.

I slowly speak. “What must I do?”

There were claps of wings and roars of approval. *We must further empower you.* answers Suicune, her voice as gentle as a mothers. She gracefully jumps up to another ledge.

I give a confused look. “Empower me? I thought I already had Pokemon Powers?”

*You do, but you do not have much experience with them.* explains Zapdos.

*Therefore we must empower you with part of our own powers.* finishes Ho-oh.

“So how are we going to do that?” I get no response for a moment, then I feel like I’m being pulled. I look down and to my surprise I’m floating off the ground! My body moves unknowingly to a empty spot in the middle of our assembly, surrounded on all sides with Legendary Pokemon.

I look down at Ash helplessly, who had his mouth open is astonishment.

I return my gaze to in front of me and I notice a soft humming. I look around for the source of the sound. Where was that coming from?

I look at Celebi for help, but she does not notice. She’s holding her hands up at her sides and, with her eyes closed, concentrating deeply.

What is she doing?

I look at Mewtwo, then Ho-oh, then the others, but they, too, had their eyes closed. The humming is steadily growing louder. Where is that coming from!?!

I look back at Celebi. The sound was almost deafening now. I can’t stand it... my ears...

It stops.

Celebi’s eyes glowed a brilliant bright green, her eyes, are looking straight at me, so are the others. Mewtwo, Mew and Lugia, purple, Ho-oh, Moltres, and Entei, a fierce red, Raikou and Zapdos, a striking yellow, and Articuno and Suicune, an bright blue.

All is silent for a moment. Then... I’m hit.

On all directions I was hit by their awesome force. Their powers combined and fused into mine. I felt the electricity, the ice, the fire, every single power I could imagine I could feel hitting my body. But instead of destroying it, my body is drinking it in. I was absorbing their power.

I felt it increasing. Every inch of my body seemed to drink in the power that they had, savoring it, knowing that I will need all of it for the battle that will end it all. The Final Battle.

My body is almost there. I can feel it.

I start to scream. Not from pain, but from a mixture of pleasure and terror.

Then, as quickly as it started, it stopped. The Pokemons’ eyes were once again closed and I was silently being placed back beside the now terrified Ash.

Trembling, I stand where I was put and hold out my arms in front of me. I close them into tight fists.

Yes. I could feel it. I feel the power run through me more than ever now.

Little strands of electricity run up and down my forearms in response to my thoughts.

I close my eyes and lower my arms to my sides. I hope this will be enough.

*How do you feel Rose?* asks Articuno.

“I’m fine.”

*And your powers? Are they intact?* comes Entei’s deep voice.

“They are. But... do you think it will be enough?”

*It will be enough. It is prophesized.* replies Moltres.

I nod, but not fully sure.

*You must hurry Rose. Time is quickly fleeing.* rushes Mew.

*Stop Team Rocket!* *Fulfill your destiny!*

*Rose.* I turn to face Celebi. Her eyes are wide with hope. A tear gently flows down her cheek. The tiny sparkle illuminates and it lands on my cheek, mixing with my own tear.

*Stop Team Rocket’s evil, fulfill your destiny, save our world. It is all in your hands.*

Her image becomes blurry through my tears. I quickly wipe them away but I find that everything was still distorted. I quickly look at Ash. His image clear, his face white from terror, franticly looking everywhere.

Everything became more blurry and Celebi faded from sight.

*Never give up hope.* she whispers.

The cell doors roughly bang as the guards open them. They unlock the chains that held Misty to the wall. She falls from lack of strength. She hadn’t eaten since she was captured.

The guards violently bring her back to her feet and shove her through the door, forcing her to walk in front of them. She silently walked through the narrow hall, staggering every now and then. Their footsteps echoed from the lack of noise.

Where were they taking her? And why? She didn’t know. She was just glad to get out of that cell.

On the roof of the Radio Tower stood a lone figure, leaning against the cement side with his hands, scowling. His hands clench into fists from anger.

The door opened loudly and three people silently walk through. Two bent on knee.

“We have brought the girl Master. Just as you wished.”

He doesn’t respond for a moment. He just stares out over the side of the building at the horizon, for something he had been searching for days now, but could not find.

“Leave us. Now!”

They silently slip away, leaving much more quietly than how they had entered. Silence hung heavily in the air.

Who is this guy? Misty wonders. She struggles with the chains behind her back, hoping to free herself before something could happen to her.

“Don’t try to break free Misty. The chains are made of pure Steelix. They can’t be broken.” came the deep voice from the man. Where had I heard that voice before? Misty wonders silently.

“What do you want from me?” she asks rudefuly. She had no intention to be nice to someone who would do this to her.

Although she can’t see it, a small smile appears on the man face, the first since Ash had disappeared along with Rose and Celebi. He lets out a small chuckle.

“I’ll tell you what I want... I want Ash. I want Ash to suffer! I want Ash dead! And I want my REVENGE!!” He turns around in his rage.

Misty steps back in horror. “Gary...”

He reaches for her, grabbing Misty by the hair. Gary drags her to the ledge of the building with a pure evil smile on his face. He sets her on the very edge of the ledge. If she was slightly pushed, she would drop from the peak of the building to her death.

“Come on Ash!” he yells into the vastness. “Come on! Try to save her! Your one and only true love! Because if you don’t, I’ll push her off Ash! I’ll kill her! She’ll die because you weren’t there for her!!”

“Ash may not be here to save her, but I am!” replies a voice.
