Hi reader, thanks for coming back to read part 1 of this fic, i hope i didn't take too long to write it. Please enjoy! Part 1 --- And So It All Begins Red lights flashed furiously in the fortressed base as a bomb exploded in the outer walls. The hydrogen bomb was an extremely destructive weapon known to human, but two miles wide of titanium was well capable of protecting the base known as The Fortress Castle. "Give me a damage report." A woman with a delicate but firm face asked an alert officer next to her. She brushed a lock of lose hair as the officer typed in many codes with his cubby fingers. "We are under attack ma'am. The enemy is 40 mile south of us. Our south titanium wall sustained all of the damage, defense power is down 10%." The young officer reported professionally, waiting for an order from the high ranked officer. "Was that a hydrogen bomb?" She asked while examining one of the flashing monitors. She kept herself unusually calm under all the flashing lights. "Yes ma'am." "Shut that flashing light off, it's driving me crazy." She said in frustration. In a second, all the flashing stopped, she sighed in relieve. "So, we are dealing with the Triads?" She questioned the young officer. Her eyes didn't moved from the monitors, still examining for something. "Yes ma'am, that was a hydrogen bomb." The officer replied again. Almost in instant, almost all of the colors are drained from her beautiful face. A cold chill ran down her spine. The fortress stronghold is able to sustain any weapon known to man with a powerful energy shield that nullifies any nuclear weapons as will as any elemental attacks. A two mile deep of titanium surrounded the whole base, protecting them from literally anything. So why does she feel so vulnerable? "Warm up the Particle Lazar Cannons." She said in a dull tone, watching lines of man and Pokemon appearing at the monitors. "Get all snipers in position." "PLCs are charging 50%, all the snipers are in position. PLCs charging 80%, 95%, done charging." The officer replied while rapidly typing on his keyboard. General Jenny gulped and said without emotions, "Fire at will..." Above the fortressed castle, a dozen cannon appeared. They shone a bright, deadly red. A second later, a blinding flash of red lazar tear across the field, reaching to the lines of human and Pokemon... ()()()()() "Holy shit! We're gonna die!" A man in a black uniform said as he saw the red lazar coming near them by the second. He looked desperately around, his comrades shared the same horror face. The lazar trekked across the open plane and straight toward the horror- strike men. They brace for the hit, but it never came. They cowardly raised their head, seeing the back of a purple Pokemon. It had a pair of black eyes, glowing at a red anger. A long tail connected to its back as it raised a hand, almost psychically, it cast a purple barrier around itself, nullifying the red lazar. "It's Me-Mewtwo!" The man gasped in shock. He watched in fright as the Genetic Pokemon lift itself up in the air psychically, hovering 10 feet above the ground. A purplish-black formed around the Psychic Pokemon as he sent a psychic message to everyone in the world: All human should be granted with death for their misdeeds. Killing each other with their own technological weapons is beneath all. I, the great Mewtwo, will stop this human slaughter once and for all! The Psychic Pokemon lift both of its arms and a purple energy is formed between them. The ball of energy grew in power as everyone watched in awe, and then Mewtwo threw the ball of energy straight toward the ground... ()()()()() "Fire the second wave of PLCs!" General Jenny shouted over all the noise in the room. Watching the monitor, she silently muttered toward herself, "This is not good." "General Jenny! All weapons are not operational! Energy shield is down! The snipers just reported in that all of their sniper rifles are unable to operate!" The officer shouted in horror. The young officer looked at the stressed General, and asked, "You orders, ma'am?" Jenny, feeling tire all of sudden, folded her hands in front of her chest. She thought to herself, why aren't the weapons not working? Does it have anything to do with the legendary Pokemon, Mewtwo? Jenny closed her eyes tiredly and said in an impassive tone. "Evacuate the buildings at once..." ()()()()() "What happened?" A man barked at a younger officer. His face is filled with confusion and rage. "All of our weapon is down, sir." The young woman replied with a slight fear in her tone. She slightly trembled as the old man slammed the hard equipment with his rough fist. "Mewtwo." The man named Giovanni growled. Then a smile curled at his lips. "Maybe I can work this into my advantage." Giovanni said to himself. "Call the Triad meetings." Giovanni said to the young woman as he put his hands into his pant-pockets. Slowly he took out a purple Poke-Ball with a letter 'M' on the center of it. After letting out an evil laugh, he exited the room the meet with his 'friends'. ()()()()() "Come on Pikachu, we did it!" A high spirited boy said to his trusted Pokemon, a yellow electrical mouse, capable of unleashing thousands of volts of electricity. "Pika!" Pikachu replied in the same spirit as its trainer. It ran on all fours and leaped on Ash's shoulder, smiling tiredly, but happily. "And there you have it! The Pokemon Champion!" The announcer shouted at the top of his lung as millions of people roared and applauded for the new Pokemon Master. Ash looked to his companions. Brock and Tracey are giving him a thumbs-up, which Ash returned. May and Duplica waved at him and mouthed 'congratulations', Ash returned with a toothy-smile. Melody also waved and gave him a wink, Ash blushed and waved back. Even Gary, Ash's greatest rival, smiled and nodded at Ash's accomplishments. And finally, Misty. She ran up toward him and they hugged. Misty beamed at him, "You did it! You finally did it!" she said merrily. She looked at Ash and smiled again, feeling happy as though as she just won the Pokemon League herself. I remembered that day as though it was yesterday. The crowd cheered madly; my friends were the loudest, I was sure of that. I don't know if it was my imaginations or my memories, I remembered Misty had kissed me, on the cheek of course. That day was the happiest day of my life, even though it ended quit early... "I really did it, didn't I?" Ash smiled. Then he is being dragged to the stage by the announcer to give a speech. Standing in front of million of faces, Ash drew a deep breath and began the speech he had been preparing the previous night: Well, I have finally did it, I have accomplished my dream. I have finally become the Pokemon Master. It was a hard journey, but my friends and family made it a lot of easier for me. First of all, I have to thank my mom for supporting me all the way, both economically and emotionally. She always told me not to give up and keep on advancing. Secondly, I can't be here if my Pokemon didn't fight side by side with me. They aren't just my Pokemon, they are my friends. We learned from each other, and taught each other along the way. And finally, my friends. They helped me through my journey and gave me pointers. I can never thank them enough. Brock, Tracey, May, Duplica, Melody is just few of my closest friends. The one person I wanted to thank the most is... she stood with me during my whole journey, never leaving my side. I just wanted to say thanks for all the tings you taught me, the great times we had together, and for making my journey as wonderful as it is. Thanks! You know who you are! I am looking forward to next year's Pokemon League, also looking for a rematch with Gary. I hope you all enjoyed the battles held here in the Pokemon League Stadium, I wish you all a good day... But Ash never got the chance to say that... A Beedrill had swooped down from the stands and struck him in the chest with its sharp stinger... Ash fell to the floor... Watching few feet from him, Misty ran to Ash before anyone else had. Her face was paled, contrasting to the one earlier. She got hold of Ash and didn't let go. Tears began to whelm at her eyes. "Ash..." Misty sobbed, tears now flowing freely from her cerulean-blue eyes. She clutched one of Ash's hands firmly. Using his free hand, Ash reached up and gently wiped away the tear from Misty's face. "Don't ... cry, Misty, it hurts ... me to see ... you cry. I can die ... happily, ... because I know ... I am ... the best..." Ash choked out his words, tears also rolling down his face, from physical and emotional pain. "You're not going to die, Ash." Misty stopped crying and tried to sound convincible. "You never die Ash, never." Thinking back to the numerous times that he had survived from the clutches of death, Ash forced a smile, "I guess ... you're right." Holding Misty's ice- cold hands, Ash agreed with Misty. He knew that he was going to die, he closed his eyes for a moment to sooth the pain. "Misty..., I want ... you to watch ... Pikachu and my Pokemon ... for me." Misty nodded silently, tear again raining down from her eyes. She wiped them away, looking into Ash's painful expression. "Tell the gang ... and my mom ... that I am ... sorry for leaving ... them." Ash choked out blood as the venom starts to spread in his blood streams. "Misty ... I had ... always ... ..." Silence. An eerie silence rang through the air... "NOOO!" Misty screamed, holding the unconscious Ash. Everyone was sad that day. My friends and my mom weren't in a happy mood for the next few months. But eventually they got over me, and went on with their lives, except for one person... She is my best friend, but all I have done is held her back. This is the greatest held backs I have ever done to her, and I am not proud of it. But I realized that death was only the beginning of my second life. This journey I have to complete, was more of a burden for me then anything ease I had ever experienced. Maybe I should have never visited my own grave... To Be Continued I hope you enjoyed that story. Thanks for all of you reviewing my Prologue, please review this part. Thanks for reading. Happy Thanksgiving!
