Hi guys, this took me a looooooooong time to come up, i know is kind of short, but can't think of anything to write. This part 12 of A Never Ending Tale, okay, i'll sut up right now.

“Can’t we go get our Pokemon now?” Misty asks the officer, who seems to be extremely ticked off about something.

“The Pokemon are brought to the Pokemon Center, but you guys can only get it tomorrow. You sure you don’t know where the Rocket Grunts went to? After that Smoke Screen we can’t find them.” The policeman asks again.

“Look, we don’t know, period.” Kelly said.

“Ash, you seems to be a bit to quite.” Misty said.

Misty plops down on the bench next to Ash.  Ash turns around and looks at Misty, staring right at Misty’s face.  Misty could feel her face is heating up quite a lot from its normal temperature.

“So Pidgeot will be traveling with us, right?” Misty asks, tries to hide her face from Ash.

“Yeah, I guess.”

“You seems distracted.” Misty said.

No, really? What do you think?”

The policeman decides to take Kelly to the office for further questioning, and Kelly told them to wait for her.

Misty told herself that she would smack Ash on the head for that, but definitely not now. “Um, do you want to go for a walk?”

“What? At this hour?” He points toward the clock, it’s past midnight. “No thanks, just leave me alone!”

“Alright, that’s it! I tried to be nice,” Misty grabs Ash by the collar, “Tell me what is wrong with you, or I will shake it out of you!” Misty yells.

Ash just stand there, he didn’t say anything. Luckily there was no police at the hallway, or Misty and Ash will probably be in big trouble.

After a while, Misty softens her grip. Ash puts his hand on Misty’s and gently removes them from his collar. Misty stares at Ash’s brown eyes, there was no life in them.

To Misty, the Ash standing in front of him is not the same Ash she used to know. The Ash she used to know should be yelling at the policeman right now for not letting them go. The Ash she used to know would be quarreling with her right now about something stupid. The Ash she know would be asking for food right about now, and Misty could bet her life that food didn’t even cross Ash’s mind once after they got into the police station.

After a while, Officer Jenny walks out with Kelly following behind her. They both look extremely tire, Officer Jenny glance at them. “I will be driving you guys home, now.” They all follow Jenny slowly toward the police car.

The ride is long, well to Ash it is. He looks out the window of the car, couple of Murkrows is chattering in their language. Misty and Kelly are very worried about Ash.

The car slow pullover toward the right, they are getting out the car.  Ash’s house is the only house that is lighted. Mrs. K. burst out of the door and start hugging Ash, “Are you okay, Ash.” She starts to cry. Misty and Kelly walk over to Mrs. K. and comfort her.

After Mrs. K. settled down, they are walk in the house. Officer Jenny turns out to be one of Mrs. K.’s friends, everybody just sit down and talk. Kelly went to make hot chocolate for everybody, while Ash when upstairs, slams his door hard, making everybody jump.

Mrs. K. stands up, she seems to be disturbed. Misty also stands up, “Let me handle it.” She said, and then she went upstairs.

Misty climbs the stair silently, and moves in front of Ash’s room. She knock on the door gently, no answer. Misty knocks again, still no answer. Misty just opens door. She sees Ash lying on his bed, his hat over his face.

“Ash,” Misty said, “Tell me what is wrong.”

Ash totally ignores her, or maybe his is asleep?

“Ash, I know you are not asleep because you are not snoring. Tell me what is wrong.” Misty said.

Ash makes a quick movement toward the right side of the bed, he turn his face toward the wall.

“I won’t leave this room until you tell me why you are not talking to me, and what is wrong with you.” Misty sits down on Ash’s bed.

Ash makes no movement and still did not start talking. Misty growls. She starts to observe Ash’s room like she just came here. She looks up at the picture above the small T.V.; it is a picture of her and Ash sleeping on the sofa at the Pokemon Center. Ash had his arm around her, and her head is on Ash’s shoulder. Even though she didn’t admit it, she likes the picture a lot.

Ash starts to snoring, looks like I can’t make him tell me wrong with him tonight. She looks at the alarm clock, it reads 2:46 a.m. Mind as well sleep.

“Misty dear, wake up. Wake up Misty.” Mrs. K. said.

“What wrong?” Misty asks sleepily.

“Their gone,” Mrs. K. said.

“Who’s gone?” Misty asks sleepily.

“Ash and Kelly?”

“WHAT?!” Misty bolts up, giving Mrs. K. a fright.

“I think you should read this letter.” Mrs. K. hands Misty a piece of paper, Ash’s terrible handwriting is on it.

Hey Misty,

By the time you are reading this letter, I will be gone. I am sorry for not being myself yesterday; I hope you will forgive me. I don’t know how to say this, but here goes. I don’t want you to travel with me because… well, there is no because. I just don’t. Please don’t try to look for me, okay? I hope you will forgive me. I guess this is goodbye…

P.S., Mom, I know this is wrong, you can ground me all you want when the next time I come home.

“Misty, honey…” Mrs. K. goes to Misty and hugs her. Misty doesn’t returns the hug, she break the hug, and runs to the bathroom. As she locks the bathroom door, tears falls uncontrollably down from her aqua-blue eyes. She slides down with her back against the door, sobbing. In her hands, she is still holding the letter.

        Why?

Meanwhile, on the Magnet Train, Kelly is shooting out questions at Ash. “Why are we going to Goldenrod? What about Misty?” At the same time, Pikachu threatens Ash if he doesn’t have a good explanation about this, he going to be fried.

“We are going to Azalea Town, and you are going stay at Kurt’s for a while.” Ash said, his hat covering up by his face.

        “Pika?” (Why?)

“This time we lucked out, thanks to Jessie, James, and Meowth, we got away from Team Rocket Elites, but what about next time? Team Rocket will keep sending Elites to catch us, we can’t always be that lucky, and if they catch us, and we are going to be killed. I don’t care about me, but what about you guys? I figure they are only after Pikachu and me. I don’t want you guys to be in danger.”

“But why didn’t you tell Misty?” Kelly asks.

“I know her, she won’t listen to me. She will just keep following me no matter what until I paid her bike back. But I got no cash, so…”

They just sit silently for the rest of the ride. Kelly sniffs a couple of times, and Pikachu tries to cheer up Ash.

Around noon, the train stops. They get down, Ash walks over to Kelly, “This is as far as I can take you, stay low at Kurt’s for a while, alright?”

“Yeah, fine.” Kelly said, she prepares to leave.

“Hey,” Ash calls out, “You are a good trainer, keep up the good work. I hope we’ll meet again in the Johto League.”

        Kelly smiles, “Definitely.”

        Then they hug, rather awkwardly.

Ash walks slowly to the Pokemon Center; he sees the vi-phones are at his left. He walks over and calls home.

        “Ash, come home.”

        “But mom.”

        “No buts.”

        “Okay, bye.”

I am not ready to face her yet.
