Disclaimer: Pokemon and all related material, products, etc do not belong to me but to a bunch of dudes who probably have way too much money. So please don’t sue. A/N Hi, sorry it took so long to update. I’ve spent the last month in a summer camp, so I had to work on that. Hopefully I’ll be able to update a few more times after that. Then there’s going to be a long period of nothingness’ I’ll be moving and that pretty much eats up all of August and part of July and September. Oh yeah, Happy Independence Day on July Fourth to all you Americans, and to everyone else, but I don’t think you care as much. Also, if anyone is interested in joining PFAAMR (Pokemon Fans Against Ash and May Romance) lease contact me or C/P via the review button, (while you’re doing that maybe you could review too??) That goes for everyone . I’m review starved and need the attention.

Jesse, James, and Meowth lazed in an out of a way hallway keeping watch. Hardly anyone came down this way, so their job was a much easier one than that which they had held in their previous occupation with Team Rocket.

Picking at her new all-black uniform, barring the blue dragon that curled around her left breast, Jesse sighed dramatically. “I am so bored…”

James blew a lock of blue hair from his eyes and glanced over at his longtime friend, “Me too,’ he complained wistfully, “Nothing exciting ever happens to us now that we’ve joined the Blue Dragon. Now,’ he continued dreamily, “When we were chasing the twerps, everyday was an adventure.”

Jesse nodded her agreement, he lips twisted in a pout, “But they’re too old to be chased now. They’re all grown up and successful now…”

Meowth looked over at his two human counterparts, “Yah, but we’s waz also alwayz getting hungry or lost, or blasted off. I sayz we’s better off widout dem twerps.” Then, his face fell and he too sighed, “Still, I miss dem.”

The trio all nodded in agreement.

Suddenly, they were interrupted by a flash of purple light and the sudden appearance of two people and a Kadabra.

“AAAAAHHHHH!!!!” the three yelled as Jesse and James fumbled for their pokeballs.

When the light cleared, the four humans and the Meowth found themselves staring into some familiar faces.

“Don’t I know you?!” all five yelled simultaneously.

“Yeah,” Gary stated loudly, “You were those losers who were always following Ash around when he was a kid.”

“Losers?! LOSERS?!!!” Jesse shrieked, eyes blazing. James and Meowth both cringed, fully knowing that hell hath no wrath like Jesse.

The redhaired woman grabbed Gary by his shirt collar, not caring that the man was a full head taller than her, “Listen twerp!” she screamed in his face, “Jut because you’re some hotshot trainer doesn’t mean you can come barging in here and -”

Suddenly she was cut off. For a second, Sabrina’s eyes glowed a startling purple and Jesse was flung backwards into the arms of her comrades. The enraged woman jumped back to her feet and opened her mouth to direct her ferocious diatribe towards the psychic, but found her voice could not work. If possible, Jesse’s face became even more red and her eyes bulged from her head.

“Much better,” breathed Sabrina, her voice full of cool relief. Even James and Meowth were forced to agree with that statement.

Gary meanwhile, could do nothing but stare at the harpy like woman in stunned disbelief and rub his aching ears, “She’s worse than Misty, I swear.”

“Now,” Sabrina said quietly, turning her enigmatic eyes toward the three ex-Rockets, “Take us to the prisoners or I shall do worse things to than merely take your voice.”

Like what, thought Jesse sullenly, her mouth twisted angrily. The younger woman turned to look at her and slightly raised her eyebrow. Oh no! Jesse realized, she can read my thoughts!

Sure enough, Jesse found herself sailing through the air once again, but this time James and Meowth weren’t in the way to catch her. For a moment the redhead lay on the ground stunned. However, she was used to hard landings, and quickly sprung to her feet. Angrily she stalked off in the direction of the prisons. James and Meowth watched her leave, gulped, and followed. Both looked very pale and were darting nervous glances in the direction of Sabrina. Gary smirked as he watched the trio walk down the hallway and then set off after them with Sabrina and Alakazam trailing behind him.

Steepling her long fingers, Duplica glanced moodily around the room. In the wall farthest from the shadowed corner she had hidden herself in there was a door. On the wall parallel to the door there was a simple cot with the unconscious body of May Stone on it. Other than that, there was nothing but a small button just to the right of Duplica’s waist. All she had to do was press it and nearly fifty of her most elite warriors would pour into the room from the carefully concealed doorway near May. Duplica studied that section of the wall, even knowing it was there, she couldn’t see the entrance. A few well placed spies had alerted Duplica and her Master to the League’s plan, allowing them to take the appropriate steps. Soon, Sabrina and Gary would join the others as prisoners. Perfect.

Perfect, just like her Master’s plan. It was a simple plan, and there lay the beauty of it. Gather as many men as possible without the league or the government knowing. Childish really when the man running it was a member of the league itself. Then steal in late on the night of the League Championships when no one would notice several dozen men and woman coming into the city and when every important person in the Pokemon world be there. Kidnap them and tamper with their minds using some psychics once those abducted were brought to HQ. Then set the prisoners back into the world where they would wreak havoc and destruction. Her master would of course bring everyone back together after a few years of brutal anarchy and be hailed as a great man and given ultimate power. And, Duplica thought, even though he hasn’t said anything, I’ll rule at his side as Queen.

However, one thing marred Duplica’s otherwise exultant mind. The fact that several key people had escaped. Ash ad Misty, as well as a few others, Gary and Sabrina being among them, had managed to slip through the net of their carefully orchestrated plan. Worse, Master blamed Duplica for it. For some reason Misty had awoken that night and found the kidnappers taking action. She had managed to stop Duplica, disguised as Prof. Petunia, and a few grunts from taking Ash and had then proceeded to awaken the entire city to the threat amongst them. Unconsciously, Duplica snarled, no matter what Master said, she would personally rip out that woman’s throat when next she saw her.

Right around then, the door burst open. Gary, naturally was in the lead, all caution gone as he scurried to his sister’s side. Behind him cowered the three bumbling ex-Rockets Duplica had met years ago in her innocence. Enlisting and placing them where Sabrina an Gary were most likely o show up had been pure genius. Unwittingly the three had led Sabrina and Gary straight into a trap. Sabrina brought up the rear. Her dark eyes literally flashed; pulsating with a vibrant purple light.

The door swung close. That was Duplica’s cue, “So nice of you to join us,” the teal haired woman chuckled throatily. Cliché perhaps, but plenty dramatic.

All five of them swung around to stare at her. “Who are you?” demanded Gary haughtily, his hand clutching his sister’s, “And what have you done to May?”

Duplica stretched languidly before laughing again, “I’m Duplica, perhaps Misty or Ash have told you about me. And your sister’s safe, but I’m afraid she wasn’t able to join us.’

Gary’s eyes narrowed as Sabrina and the grunts watched on, “What do you mean?”

Sabrina spoke before Duplica had a chance to reply, “It’s a trap, Gary! Get behind me!”

The imitator cursed, she had forgotten all about Sabrina’s power to read minds, so she had left her own mental shield low, allowing the psychic to break through. “Ditto, transform,” she screeched as she moved back to press the button.

The prostrate body of the young woman flashed white once and was replaced by a familiar blobby pink shape. “Dit! Ditto!” it cried as it bounded towards it’s trainer. It had moved out of the way just in time, for several dozen soldiers armed with tranquilizers and pokeballs were storming in.

Immediately the men began to fire towards Gary and Sabrina. Jesse, James, and Meowth lay on the ground behind them, whimpering. Sabrina for her part had erected a psychic shield that the projectiles bounced off. Her Kadabra and Haunter were also attacking the men from behind the purple sphere. Gary too had his Kadabra and Aracanine out and was ferociously ordering them to attack. Deadly spheres consisting of psychic power and deadly fire were quickly gobbling up the soldiers.

Angrily Duplica grabbed the radio at her waist and screamed into it, “Get some psychics in here, the two are causing more trouble than anticipated!” without even waiting for a reply, Duplica plunged into the fray. “Ditto, transform into a Kadabra and work on breaking down the shield. Soldiers, if you have any psychic or ghost pokemon, activate them. NOW!”

Sabrina was more powerful than the Blue Dragon second-in-command had anticipated. The dark-eyed woman managed to hold her own against a barrage of psychic attacks while her and her companion’s pokemon steadily thinned out Duplica’s remaining soldiers. Purple light flashed across the room, throwing the faces of the fighters into sharp relief. Curses ad orders mingled with each other, forming a tapestry of harsh harmony.

However, when the channellers came, Sabrina broke. They burst through the door Gary had entered, their leader, a tall woman with silver hair and violet eyes, quickly assessed the situation and started barking out orders. “Bring out your pokemon and have them use psychic on that witch’s wall. Don’t attack it yourself, but strengthen your pokemon’s power!”

The channeller’s plan proved to be effective, and under the constant assault on her defenses, Sabrina buckled. Her knees bent and she dropped to her floor. Her hands were still outstretched before her, trying to hold up the now visibly faltering psychic shield. Her head drooped and her eyes were hidden by the hair that curtained her face. Her posture was that of someone defeaten. Gary, however, was a different story. The brown haired man stood erect, hands clenched at his sides, teeth bared in a furious snarl. “Arcanine! Fireblast Duplica! Kadabra, try to keep up Sabrina’s wall!” Duplica smirked as the fireblast sped towards her. “Ditto,” she ordered calmly, “Turn into a Wynaut and use Mirror coat!”

In record speed the pink pokemon did its master’s bidding. The Fireblast collided with the now blue pokemon and immediately bounced back towards Gary and his Arcanine, now doubly destructive. Both of the “good guy’s” Kadabra’s, upon seeing this, gasped and turned their psychic abilities towards the making of a shimmering violet wall directly in front of the fire dog and his trainer. Once again the fire attack bounced off from it’s target. But this time, instead of neatly heading towards the person the attack had come, it ricocheted wildly. With an audible, WHOOSH! It obliterated half the channellers and several of the surviving soldiers in one fell swoop.

Duplica swore wildly, putting even the most hardened warrior to shame. Her face turned as scarlet as her vision. Positively rabid, she grabbed the radio once again. “Master!” she cried shrilly into the machine, “the two are slaughtering us! Half of our psychics have been destroyed already, and most of our soldiers as well!” There was silence as her Master coolly absorbed the information. “Very well then,” he said finally, the faintest traces of melancholy in his voice, “Kill them.”

The villain grinned savagely, twisting her lovely face into a macabre mask. “Gladly, milord.”

Raising the pistol she always carried, she took aim. Sabrina was still on her knees, too exhausted to do anything than emit a brief psychic flare, the three morons who had led her there were cowering on the ground, having miraculously survived so far. But Gary. Gary was a problem. Harshly he ordered both his and Sabrina’s pokemon, effectively eliminating all opposition. There was her victim.

She fired.

The bullet burst from the gun, speeding on towards it destiny of violent death. With a perverse satisfaction Duplica watched it strike Gary in the chest, breaking the skin and entering his body. His eyes rounded in shock and he let out a gurgled yell as he fell,

Duplica laughed, all traces of her sanity completely shattered. Once again she raised the lethal tool, her finger caressing the trigger. But Sabrina had seen her comrade fall. With a shout of fury, the older woman leapt to her feet. Her forest green hair pooled into the air behind her, and her face was ghostly pale. Indigo light spilled from her eyes and hands as hurricane winds whipped around the room, except for where Sabrina and her now fallen friend lay. A vortex of calm surrounded them.

Gary’s murderer lasted a full six seconds before mighty winds picked her from the ground like a ripe fruit and slammed her into a wall. As the debris piled atop her crumpled form, Duplica watched as Sabrina transported herself, her pokemon, the ex-rockets, and Gary. Then a black veil covered Duplica’s drooping eyes, and for a little while at least, drifted into sweet oblivion. ************************************************************************ Sabrina was sobbing when she reached her destination. The physical and mental anguish of holding up a wall under so violent attacks had left her completely drained nad unable to think coherently. Then she had watched as that woman shot Gary right in front of her. Then the madness had returned. Worse and more powerful than that which she had as a child. That was what really frightened her. The prospect of her sickness returning Still grieving over her friends death, Sabrina turned to look around, and let out a heart-rending wail. “WHY?!!!” She screamed at the rudely unresponsive sky, “WHY?!!” In the last moments of the deadly hurricaen, Sabrina had decided to teleport back to HQ with her pokemon and Gary’s corpse. However, she wasn’t at HQ. As far as she could tell, she was in the midle of a forest. Hopefully it was the forest that sheltered the plain where Hq was, but she asn’t sure. Too exhausted to even make a quick pschic search of the area to make sure she was close to the HQ, she decided to sleep a few hours before setting off. Turning around, she saw Jesse, James, and meowth lying on the forest floor; gibbering in terror. Once agin the scream of , “WHY?!” filled the woods, sending a flock of pidgey into a panicked flight.
