Story One: A Brief History Hello, my name is Tom Kingston. Where should I begin? I guess I should start at the beginning. Before I was born, my dad started a gym up north past Johto. The Pokemon he started with was Sceptile, Electabuzz, Magmar, Rhydon, Nidoking, and Houndoom. He was 29 years old. 5 years later, I came into the picture. By the time I was 8, I received my first Pokemon from my dad; or to be more specific, an egg. It was red and had a flame pattern on it. For months, I waited for it to hatch. It was agonizing. Until one day, it hatched. To my surprise, it was a baby Moltres. When I was 10, my dad gave me his Sceptile. That same day, I hit the road. Destination: the Kanto region. There, I met my true destiny: to become a Pokemon Master. I’m 16 years old now. I’m known worldwide. I now run my dads gym, which is tough enough. My Pokemon are Sceptile, Moltres, Steelix, Magmortar, Pichu, and Elekid. Running a gym is very hard. Trust me. To make things more depressing, trainers hardly come here due to the mountainous location. But I guess that’s one of the perks that comes with the job. But recently, I got a letter. It said: “Dear Mr. Kingston: We would like to invite you on an all expenses paid trip to this years’ ‘Masters of Pokemon’ convention in Jubilife City in the Sinnoh region. Bring your Pokemon. We expect to see you there. Sincerely, Jonathon Jones- President of the International Masters of Pokemon” I think I’ll go. But something seems a little strange about this. Well…I am an international star and all.
