Name- Mission Impossible, Pokemon Style Part 1 Category- OT Here it is below- I stared deeply into the game-boy screen. Even with the music playing in my room, and the rain pelting against the roof and window sill, I was still completely engrossed in the Pokemon Yellow game, where my faithful friend Pikachu, was bravely battling against Lance's Dragonite. I was down to my last pokemon, and all out of potions, and Lance still had half his team in perfect condition. I had a slight advantage, but Pikachu's health was almost gone. Dragonite's Hyper Beam just had to be a critical hit, didn't it?!, and so goes my Pikachu, fainted, leaving me with nothing to battle with. A loud, aggravated sigh escapes my throat as I click off the gameboy. I throw my game boy to the foot of my bed and stare at the ceiling, angry that I had lost against the Pokemon Champion, Lance. I've tried beating him four times, each time it ended the same way. I either ran out of potions or pokemon, or however I set up my pokemon was wrong. Then I heard a small noise, like a song, from somewhere in my room. I stopped staring at the ceiling and looked around my room, not moving from my laying position on my bed. I finally realized where the noise was coming from, and it was at the foot of my bed. "That's weird..." I grumbled, reaching for the only thing at the foot of my bed, my game boy. A black background had taken up the whole screen, and some music was playing from the game boy. I tilted the game boy and looked at the on/off switch. It was off. Confused, I turned the game boy back to me and stared at the black screen. Then, suddenly, the screen flashed white several times and I must have blacked out, because I haven't the faintest idea what happened next... * * * I rolled over and opened my eyes slowly, not prepared for what I saw. Everything around me looked like a cartoon, as if I was in my own Anime show. I stared at the unusually weird colors of the earth around me, with no idea what was going on. Something in the ground shifted below me, and I immediately sat up, nervous. The ground shifted more and something slammed into my butt from the ground. I was flung several feet away from where I was last sitting and landed on my stomach. I pulled myself off the ground and looked towards where the thing had hit me. It was a.....SANDSHREW??? "Wha? Whoa!" I gasped, standing up and brushing the dirt off of my jeans. The pokemon blinked at me once, then continued on with its digging, disappearing back into the ground. I stared, my mouth hanging open, with questions racing through my mind. While I was standing there stupidly, I noticed a huge bird flying through the air. I looked up and watched as it flew against the blue sky, plummeting towards the ground at very high speeds. The bird slowed itself down and landed on the ground, about five feet away from me. It was a Pidgeot, with a rider on its back. I looked at the rider and saw a woman, in her late 20's, with long black hair and green eyes. She lifted her tall, lanky body off the Pidgeot and walked over to me, not saying a word. The woman stood for a few seconds, not taking her eyes off mine. I felt uneasy and even more confused. "I see fear in you," She said, narrowing her eyes, still staring. I avoided eye contact and stared at Pidgeot, who seemed to be staring at me with the same look. I turned my view from Pidgeot to the woman. She chuckled and drew back a little. "Yes, yes. I see much fear in you. You're confused too," She said, starting to walk in a clockwise circle around me, examining me from just about every angle. I didn't want to sound rude, but I had to know who she was. "Who are you?" I asked, my voice shaking slightly. She chuckled once more as she finished her circle around me. "Take a look around you. You're not home, are you?" The woman said, completely avoiding my question and opening her arms, telling me to look at my surroundings. I glanced around quickly before I looked at her again. "No. I don't remember home looking like a cartoon." I said sarcastically, staring at her. Her expression did not change. "That's because you're in Kanto, the first region where pokemon was found. First, let me go over the rules. First, you must never tell anyone, except for your very own pokemon, why or how you got here. You cannot reveal the truth to anyone, or you will be stuck here for eternity. Secondly, these papers will explain all the basics of your life you need to know, who you are, etc." My mouth dropped as I became dizzy. Shock flowed through my veins, not believing anything she was saying. The woman took a few papers out of her pocket and handed them to me. I took them, my hand shaking. "What?!" I asked, almost yelling. Her expression changed to a serious look as she just stared at me. "How do I get out of here? My parent's will be worried and they'll probably have a funeral for me if I don't get back home in about five days!" I said, knowing how much my parents worried about everything. The woman grinned, and with a sly look, she mounted back onto her Pidgeot. "Your parents should be the least of your worries." "HOW DO I GET BACK HOME?" I shouted, as she grabbed onto Pidgeot's feathers. The grin she had grew wider. "Easy." Pidgeot lifted off but hovered in the air for a moment. "Beat Lance." And with that last word, Pidgeot lifted off and flew west quickly, at well over 100 mph. I was left there, in the middle of a grassy field with out the slightest idea of what I was supposed to do. "WELL WHY DON'T I JUST BRING BACK THE DEAD WHILE I'M AT IT!" I screamed, realizing that beating Lance would take a miracle. I sighed, turning around and seeing a small town nestled by a pond, that was sparkling in the sun. I sighed, frustrated, and began reading my papers. Name: Lakoko Cedar Age: 13 At least those two were right. My name is Lakoko Cedar and I am thirteen. Well, at least I didn't have to worry about that part. Hometown: Pallet Town Family: Lives with Mom at home on 33 Main Street. First Pokemon: Houndour. Received from Professor Oak as starter pokemon. What? I have a pokemon? I looked down onto my belt and spotted six pokeballs, one obviously full. I took it in my hand and tossed it into the air, wanting to see my Houndour. I threw the pokeball, watching it crash into the ground as a bright red flash of light transformed into a small, black dog with bones reaching around half of its back and some at other places. "Well Houndour...I guess I'm your new trainer...Let's get going."
