"Aint no use in complainin' When you got a job to do Spent my evenin's down in the drive-in And that's when I met you" "Morning..." Dawn yawned, as the rays of the sun drifted onto her bed. Misty was sprawled out on her bed, barely moving. "Aloha." She smiled. "What are we doing today?" "We could do pretty much everything. I try to just do whatever I feel like it during the summer. I live it day by day, ya know?" "Yeah." Misty nodded. "Hmm. Maybe we should go downstairs. Who knows, they might be up." Dawn slowly raised herself out of bed and stretched. She and Misty brushed their hair, went to the bathroom (Dawn's room had a bathroom) and went downstairs. Not surprisingly, the boys weren't up yet and it was 10:30 in the morning. They grabbed muffins out of the kitchen and went out to the back porch. Misty and Dawn each took a hammock and watched the water slap against the shore for the next half hour. "So , what is there to do here on this beautiful, perfect, paradi-" Misty started before Dawn interrupted. "Ooh, a whoooole lot!" Dawn laughed. "We can go swimming, surfing, fishing, boating, windsurfing, parasailing, tanning, shopping, partying, and a lot more." "Sounds like fun." Brock said, walking out onto the porch. He had a glass of Iced Tea and he sat down on the swinging bench. "You're up early." Dawn said sarcastically. "It's only 11:15." "Well if it wasn't for Ash I'd still be sleeping." Brock said jokingly. "What happened?" Misty asked in a concerned voice. "He fell off the bed." He said quickly. But he kept a straight face. "Is he okay?" Misty asked. Brock raised an eyebrow. "I guess...He's still snorin' up there!" "Knowin' Ash, he won't wake up for another 11 and a half hours." Dawn annouced. "Oh there you are V. I think you're turning into Ash and Brock." Dawn told Vaporeon as it crawled onto the porch. It sat at Dawns feet. "What's that supposed to mean?" Brock asked Dawn, who looked out onto the water. She turned her head and stared at him. "What do you think it means?" "I dunno." Brock said innocently. Dawn leaned back onto the hammock. "It means that sleeping is the top priority." "That's not true!" Brock protested. He tried to find something else to say before Misty could interrupt. "Uh, Dawn, where's your Mom, I haven't seen her since we left yesterday." "Working. She works at the pokemon center, she's a nurse. And yes Brock, there is a nurse joy here." Dawn said. Brock grinned and shifted alittle in his seat. "Vaporeon, can you go wake Ash up?" Dawn asked Vaporeon, who gladly jumped up and rushed into the house. The other three, who were lazily resting, just sitting, staring at the ocean and the birds that flew by. A few minutes later, Ash opened the screen door and collapsed next to Brock. "Why were you sleeping so late?" Misty demanded jokingly. Ash looked up quickly. "I have an excuse-" He said before Dawn broke in. "There is no excuse for you, Ash." Dawn giggled. Ash narrowed his eyes and smiled. He opened his mouth but they could all tell he couldn't think of any comebacks. Then Pikachu dragged itself onto the porch, where it just layed on its stomach, on the floor. "How about we do something that doesn't require too much energy." Misty suggested. Dawn nodded. "Some low-energy activities we could do are...Tanning, fishing, and just take a boat out on the water. If we go shopping we'll be finished by noon." Dawn said. "It is noon." Brock checked his watch. "Oh. Whoops." "Anyways. Let's vote. Who wants to spend the whole day fishing or taking a boat on the water, raise your hand. If you want to tan, keep your hand down." Ash said. Of course, everyone raised their hands. "Okay. So we'll have to go down to the harbor, and since I'm 15, I just got my license to drive a boat, so we'll take the speedboat we have. Brock, can you help me get all the stuff ready?" Dawn asked, cocking her head and giving him her puppy dog face. He shook his head, laughed, and followed her back into the house. "Why do you always ask me?" He asked politely. "Because you're 16, the oldest and strongest one of all of us." Dawn told him. He seemed pleased with the answer as he followed her to the closet, where she drew out four fishing poles, a cooler, a red container full of gas for the boat, and a few others. By 12:45, they were all walking down the street to the tackle shop, where they purchased 10.00$ worth of bait. Then, making their way in the hot sun, they arrived at the harbor. Special thanx to Desiree for her awesome comment! THANX
