"Ring..." Dawn growled with her face buried in the pillow as the phone on her 
nightstand rung loudly. Dawn felt Vaporeon shift at her feet. Vaporeon always 
slept at the foot of the bed.

"Ring..." Dawn realized she couldn't ignore ignore it after the fifth ring. 
Plus, she didn't want to wake up Misty, who was sound asleep on the other bed. 
Dawn reached for the phone and lifted her head. She put the phone to her ear and 
grumbled, "Aloha."

"Dawn?" Asked the voice on the other end of the line. "It's me, Carmen. Howzit?" 
Dawn opened her eyes and stared at the headboard, which looked like a picket 
fence.

"Carmen? Wha?"

"Word got 'round that you were homebound last week. I figured you'd be back for 
the summer." Carmen said. "When'd you get back to Kalo?"

"Two days ago...How'd you hear?"

"Ya know how news spreads 'round this island."

"Oh yeah..." Dawn turned onto her back and looked at the cieling.

"So how's everyone? I haven't seen anyone really." Dawn asked as Vaporeon woke 
up and crawled up to Dawn's waist and rested its head on her stomach. Dawn pet 
Vaporeon as Carmen explained.

"We've been maika'i *good*" Carmen answered. "We've got some catchin' up to do, 
huh sistah?" Carmen said. Dawn paused and glanced at Misty.

"Yeah. You should meet some of my friends I brought over."

"Haoles *foreigners*?" Dawn narrowed her eyes.

"Yeah, but don't judge 'em for that." Dawn said defensively. "They're really 
nice."

"Okay, Kana." She called Dawn. "Sorry...Listen, you know how they do that party 
at the pier every year?"

"Yeah."

"I didn't know if you knew, but there's one tonight at 7:00."

"Really...Okay. I'll see you there. I gotta go, my friend's waking up." Dawn saw 
Misty groan and roll over.

"Okay, Aloha Kana." With that, Carmen and Dawn hung up the phone. Misty 
stretched and opened her eyes.

"What was that all about?" She asked in a tired voice.

"My old friend, Carmen called. There's a party tonight, and we're going." Dawn 
sat up and pet Vaporeon. Then she got off the bed and walked over to her bureau.

"We are?" Misty groaned again and sat up, her eyes half closed. They both heard 
a crash in the next room, like something hit the floor hard. Dawn walked over to 
the wall between her room and the boy's room. She pounded on the wall with her 
fist.

"Are you okay?" Dawn asked loudly. She heard Brock and Pikachu laughing.

"It's okay, Ash just fell off the bed!" Brock shouted back, still laughing. Dawn 
turned to Misty, who giggled. She raised an eyebrow and cocked her head to the 
side.

"He does that alot doesn't he?" Dawn said, laughing. Misty nodded, trying to 
contain her laughter.

"He's probably still asleep too." Misty figured, getting up and walking to the 
dresser. She took out some capris, and a tank top. Then she changed in the 
bathroom as Dawn changed into a jean skirt, white tank top, flip flops, and a 
visor.

"You know, Misty," Dawn sat down on her bed, petting Vaporeon. "You could really 
impress Ash today. At 8:00 everyone that's at the party's going on a ferry. 
It'll go around the island for two hours. Ya know what I'm thinkin'?" Misty 
grinned dreamily.

"Let's go shopping!" Misty said excitedly. Dawn nodded and went to tell Brock 
and Ash about the plans for the day. She told them that they should stay on the 
beach or do their own thing today and leave the girls alone so they could shop. 
After that, Dawn called her Vaporeon and the three of them left the house.
