A/N: Guess what, I'm writing again. lol. Okay, first song is by Cheap Trick called I Want You To Want Me. Second song is by Nickel Back called Photograph. Yes, a couple songs, but I was listening to them and they fit, so ha. I won't put more songs in. Well, yet. The end maybe but that's just maybe. lol.

She was happy with how the wedding turned out. Sure, it would have been fun to be one of Misty's bridesmaids, but she had three sisters! Plus, then she would have had to dress formally. Well, really formal, and in uniform, not like she was now, with flip flops on. But it was pretty funny that Miguel had to be so uncomfortable. He kept giving her a sideways glance and frowning. It was funny. He had to stand up there wearing that suit and with the tight shoes that pinched at his toes. Yeah, she was laughing. She had come prepared though. Before everyone wanted to dance with the new addition to the pokemon master's family, she intended to let him change into the shoes she broght.

So, maybe that wasn't what he wanted.... "Hey Miguel, do you want me to bring your black tennis shoes? Then you could change if your feet hurt." "No, I don't need any dumb tennis shoes. What do you take me for? A wuss?"

No, She thought, An idiot.

And when the ceremony was over, and people were proceeding to the prepared room for the reception, Bubbles thought to walk by her friend.

"You want your tennis shoes?" She asked, a wistful smile on her face.

"I told you not to bring those. So that's what you have in the backpack purse?" He glanced down at her. So, over the few years since fifteen, he had out grown her. She was probably four inches shorter, but then again, he was just really tall. She was tall too... And lanky. She had long limbs and a thin frame, making her look like a giant-walking-twig.

She was wearing just about the opposite of him, all dressed up. She had on a long, dark blue skirt that touched to her ankels, and a white top that cut off just below her chest and revealed her stomach through a see-through pull over.

"How'd you come out wearing that? I had to dress up in painful shoes, a more uncomfortable shirt, and a tie that was WAY too tight."

"Luck," She said. "Why don't you just loosen the tie?"

"I don't know how to tie the things." He rolled his eyes.

"What? We went to a school for seven years where the uniforms involved ties. Guys and girls. How did that work out?"

"What are you talking about? Daisy, Lily, Violet, and Misty! Jeez, I have enough sisters, I don't even have to lift a finger. All but Misty are going through their 'I-must-act-just-like-a-mother-stage'. Pfft. They all treat me like a toddler. Back when I was, they tied ties for me."

"Wish my family was big like that." She said, stopping him and undoing the tie, then, before redoing it, asked, "Do you even want it back on? I can put you tie and jacket in my bag."

"That's a good idea." He said, shrugging the jacket off and folding it for her to put in the purse. She glanced up.

"Shoes?"

"No."

She smirked. "Stubburn. And very shrewd."

"Shrewd?"

"It means you have vlever awareness and given to willy and artful ways." She smiled at him when he raised a brow.

"Oh yeah? Well I have a word for you too. You're indolent." He smirked.

"What?" She didn't know that one, and it was strange for him to know a word she didn't. She practically read dictionaries!

"It means you are habitually lazy, you dislike effort, activity, and movement." He smiled.

"Well," She said, "Sounds like me." She grinned and folded her arms behind her head. "My feet hurt."

"Join the club."

"Carry me."

"No!" He laughed sarcastically. "Why should I? My feet hurt too!"

"Because we had a deal. Remember?"

"What deal?" He leaned down to let her climb on his back anyway though. She didn't really weigh much anyhow.

"Remember? Way back when you were kidnapped by Team Rocket?" (A/N: This is a reference to Sparks Fly) "You said 'This is the part where we kiss', and I said, 'You want a kiss?' and you said, 'I was just thinking out loud,' and I said I was gonna tell Tracy, and you said, 'NO! HE'LL SKIN ME ALIVE!' And so we made a deal that you would carry me whenever I wanted and then I wouldn't tell him."

"Yeah yeah, I remember, but that really doesn't make a difference anymore. Tracy's drawing up in your hometown, aside from today of course, he was up there with me, and he knows we're closer now anyway."

"Yeah, but a deals a deal. So, you have to carry me." She said as the approached the auditorium.

"I'm carrying! What more do you want? I carry you for fun, when you're hurt, when my feet hurt, back when my leg was broken, I always carry you."

"Your leg wasn't broken, your ankel was sprained." She said, "Don't exagurate. I wouldn't make you carry me with a broken leg. And if I recall, I yelled at you for carrying me then anyway."

"Open the door," He mumbled. Perhaps that mumble was because he was trying not to sneeze, but she said,

"What?"

He sneezed. She laughed.

"Open the door." He said. She did. "Thank you."

Bubbles slid off his back and flinched at the sudden burst of music. It may have been romance songs by random singers, but Jesus Christ you wouldn't believe how loud Faith Hill could sing! And they weren't in there for more than two seconds before a crowd of teenage girls had engulfed Miguel. Most looked sixteen.

Well, what's to be expected? He just became the only single male in Ash's family. What do you think all these girls will do? She smiled and sat down beside Daisy.

The blonde smiled at her. "You," She started, "You're Bubbles aren't you?"

"I am," She said, "And you're Daisy. What's up?"

"You're a lot prettier than some other people said. So, you're dating the little brother hunh?"

"I wouldn't call it dating. I'd call it, close friends." She smiled. "We don't exactly go out on dates. We just walk around."

"Hmm. I think I'd call it dating." Yeah, she was acting weird.

Bubbles spent almost three hours of the four just watching Miguel and the others dance. He didn't even glance at her, or talk between dances, or smile, or ask her... Ask her to dance...

She walked to Misty, who was sitting, complaining about how hot it was wearing that poofy dress. Ash was standing a little ways from her. She seated herself and asked, "Is Miguel mad at me?"

"What?" Misty asked shocked, "Why on earth would he be mad? Last I checked he was just the opposite, I thought he was going to--" Ash gasped and covered the new bride's mouth.

Bubbles looked at him questionably.

"Yeeeah... Uh, Miguel didn't seem mad at you before? Did you get in a fight? Maybe you should be asking him? You look nice too... I like that shirt, it makes you look really cute."

Misty elbowed him in the gut, then smiled. "You should talk to him!"

She walked away, confused. What was Misty going to say that made Ash cover her mouth? She heard the song end and rushed to her friend. She took his hands in hers and said, "You have time time to dance with me?"

"Oi! Do you know how many people have danced with me? I didn't think that there were that many girls here! Unless people are going more than once..." He smiled at her. "But I'm not complaining about my feet anymore."

"Why not?"

"I can't feel them." He laughed. "They lost that gift a while back."

"What?! You should sit down! Take your shoes off!"

"No, I'm fine, really. So, have you had fun with all these guys?" He smirked. "I couldn't find you out here."

"I was sitting the whole time."

"Why didn't you dance?"

"No one asked me to."

"Why?"

"..." She smiled sadly and said, "My scar." It was almost a whisper.

"What?" That scar was always there, since she fell from the cliff and gave Miguel and Tracy an anxiety attack. But he never saw it as a bad thing, he saw it as a good thing that she was alive! Why would that stop anyone?

"They really don't want to date someone, or dance with someone who has a bad past or something, so they steer clear of people who have scars or bruises." She smiled. "It's normal human nature really."

"Coming from a doctor," He said. She smiled and leaned her head on his chest as the music started. "I never saw your scar as something bad."

"But you know me. I shouldn't have worn this shirt, then this whole thing wouldn't have been an issue." She sighed and said, "But I did and it is, or was. So, met any wanna-be Forrests?"

"No, not really." He smirked when he listened to the lyrics. "Weren't you singing this song yesterday?"

She listened. "Yes, I was." The grin on her face was getting bigger. "I love this song!"

I want you to want me,

I need you to need me,

I'd love you to love me,

I'm beggin' you to beg me.

I want you to want me,

I need you to need me,

I'd love you to love me.

Shine up the old brown shoes,

Pull on a brand new shirt,

I'll come home early from work,

If you'll say, that you love me.

Didn't I, didn't I, didn't I see you cryin'?

Oh, didn't I, didn't I, didn't I see you cryin'?

Sittin' all alone without a friend I know you feel like dyin',

Oh, didn't I, didn't I, didn't I see you cryin'?

I want you to want me.

I need you to need me.

I'd love you to love me,

I'm beggin' you to beg me.

Sittin all alone without a friend I know you felt like dyin'.

Oh, didn't I, didn't I, didn't I see you cryin?

I want you to want me.

I need you to need me.

I'd love you to love me,

I'm beggin' you to beg me.

I want you to want me,

I want you to want me,

I want you to want me,

I want you to want me!!!

She laughed and spun around before collapsing into Miguel's arms. "That was so funny! I almost fell!" She giggled and sighed. "Well, it's late, and I'm not the bride's brother, so I'm going to go home." She grinned. "Are you sure you don't want the shoes?"

"Um..."

"Hey, it's not a competition, I won't make fun of you for wearing comfy shoes. Or for being all cuddly."

"What?" He realized that his body that-by-now-worked-all-on-its-own was holding her to him and rubbing her back. He stopped and she burst out laughing. "I do not CUDDLE!" He said.

"Jeez, okay, I get it, just like you don't have epiphanies, yeah yeah, it's a girly word, got it."

"I don't have epiphanies." He walked with her to the front hall of the building, away from the music, and sat down to change his shoes. "And yes, they are comfy." Before replacing the shoes he rubbed his feet, trying to regain feeling in them. She smirked.

"You're doing that wrong," She said, then raised her foot and came down on his with hers. He gasped and let out a shout.

"Holy Jesus mother of God, that hurt!"

"Yet you suddenly have feeling in your foot." She smiled. "Faster."

"You're a butt head." He said. Then pulled on his sneakers and stood. "I'll be lucky if that doesn't bleed."

She hugged him and he kissed her forehead. It was casual for them, common, because he did that all the time now. But it didn't matter. He could have kissed her on the lips for all she cared, because it all felt good. She felt it wash through her, down from her head to her feet and back up, gluing her to the floor it seemed. And she always thought that would go away with time, but it hadn't so far, and she hoped it never would.

"Goodnight," He said as she realized that it had only been a second's time that she was off in dreams. "I'll see you tomarrow."

Tomarrow. Yes, that was normal too. It seemed that virtually every saturday since Ash and Misty stopped traveling that they got together for coffee and sometimes donoughts at the cafe. Yes, but still. Something about that seemed to unnerve her. She loved to travel, but because of Ash and Misty's marige, had it come to an end?

She smiled, "Don't get skinned alive before then!", kissed his cheek, and ran out the door. Crying. Why? She didn't understand. He hadn't seen it, he didn't look worried or upset when she looked back, because whenever she cried he saw it as the end of the world. She had only cried infront of him once or twice. Never infront of anyone else. Now all those tears were coming for fun.

She stopped infront of her appartment and stumbled over the keys she had. Sure she had a car, but she didn't use it when she was only walking a little ways. Unless she was going really far, she didn't really even get it out of the garage. She unlocked the door to the fairly neat appartment. Except for her junk room, which consisted of a cramped room with a little desk and a laptop plugged into the wall on it, papers everywhere, a big trashcan with more papers, a minifridge with water bottles, and another moniter that had a crack in the screen. She would get rid of that moniter sooner or later.

She kicked off her shoes by the door and locked it behind her, then she proceeded to dig around for pagama pants and a tee shirt. Her sleeping garb. She changed then sat down and let out her Mightyena. And her one Poochyena. She loved them to death, and usually they were just wandering around her appartment. Shadow and Dusk came to her bed and jumped up with her. Dusk laid her head on Bubbles' knee and Shadow curled up on the other side of her.

Eclipse, the Poochyena, wandered around aimlessly in the kitchen before deciding it was boring and joining her parents on the bed. She curled up next to her father. Shadow looked up from his sleep for a moment, then just went back to sleep, placing his neck over the little dog's side.

Bubbles started to hum as she wrote down random notes from her computer she had printed off. It was her natural idea to write things ten times each to memorize them. Even if it was the definition of scientific and health terms, because to be a doctor she needed to memorize them. Not that she didn't know most of them already.

She finnally shoved the papers between the pages of a textbook and threw it on the floor. She sighed and leaned back, folding her arms behind her head. "I guess we won't be seeing much of Ash or Misty for a while." She thought back to her brother. She hadn't said much to him, but she should have. She might call him the next day. She saw little of him, because he was working for this big art company now. It was funny, because he painted her picture once and called it bubbles, and the people were amazed to see her a little while after and when she responded to the name bubbles they nearly died. ^_~

Maybe Brock would be... No, Brock had resumed being a gymleader. It was strange to think of him as a leader, and she supposed that he was having fun now. Daisy and the other two flowers that Miguel called sisters were at the Cerulean gym now, and where was Miguel? At his house she figured. Well, his appartment, just a couple blocks from here.

Why had they all stopped moving, and why in this town? Why in Pallet? Ash lives here. Misty does to now, and so does the professor, and Brock and Misty's sisters are only about ten minutes away. It's perfect. She sighed. Except for Tracy, who was almost three days away by car.

The phone rang and she answered, a common "Boo!" from her voice.

"Hello?" The voice asked, "May I speak with Jenna Alabaster Sketchit?"

"Speaking," She said, suddenly in a tone. This woman just used her full name! That was scary. "May I ask who's calling?"

"My name is Susan, I'm calling to tell you we're sending an officer to your house, don't be alarmed, but I'm here to make sure you're home."

"Oh, okay."

"Thank you for your time, goodbye."

"Bye...?" She hung up, and no sooner than she had was there a knock at the door. She pulled her hair into a quick bun then answered.

"Hello," The officer said, "My name is John, and I have some bad news. Tracy Lee Sketchit was killed tonight, around eleven o'clock, and you're one of the prime suspects."

She stopped and stared. "What?"

"You're one of the prime suspects."

"Who died?" She couldn't believe it.

"Tracy Lee Sketchit."

Look at this photograph,

Every time I do it makes me laugh.

How did our eyes get so red,

And what the hell is on Joey's head?

This is where I grew up,

I think the present owner fixed it up,

I never knew we ever went without,

The second floor is hard for sneakin out.

This is where I went to school,

Most of the time I had better things to do.

Criminal record says I broke in twice,

I must have done it half a dozen times.

I wonder if it's to late?

Should I go back and try to graduate?

Life's better now than it was back then,

If I was them I wouldn't let me in.

Oh, oh, oh, Oh God I..

Every memory of looking out the backdoor,

I got the photo album spread out on the bedroom floor

It's hard to say it

Time to say it,

Goodbye, goodbye.

Every memory of walking out the front door,

I found the photo of the friend that I was lookin' for

It's hard to say

it time to say it,

Goodbye.

We used to listen to the radio,

and sing along with every song we know

We said someday we'd find out how it feels,

To sing to more than just the steering wheel.

Kim's the first girl I kissed,

I was so nervous that I nearly missed.

She's had a couple of kids since then,

I haven't seen her since God know's when.

Oh, oh, oh, Oh God I...

Every memory of looking out the backdoor,

I got the photo album spread out on the bedroom floor

It's hard to say it

Time to say it,

Goodbye, goodbye.

Every memory of walking out the front door,

I found the photo of the friend that I was lookin' for

It's hard to say

it time to say it,

Goodbye.

I miss that time,

I can't believe it,

Some how I can see it,

Some how I can see it.

I could relive those days,

I know the one thing that would never change:

Every memory of looking out the backdoor,

I got the photo album spread out on the bedroom floor

It's hard to say it

Time to say it,

Goodbye, goodbye.

Every memory of walking out the front door,

I found the photo of the friend that I was lookin' for

It's hard to say

it time to say it,

Goodbye.

Look at this photograph,

Every time I do it makes me laugh.

Every time I do it makes me...

She couldn't sleep at all that night, she was too busy talking to policemen, doctors, and then lying in bed with pain in her heart. I didn't say anything to him! I didn't even say goodbye. I didn't say goodbye. Oh God, why?

The next morning she got up and walked to the cafe wearing sweats and a teeshirt. She met Miguel, who looked like he had been crying. He looked up shocked.

"What are you doing here?"

"We were going to meet. I couldn't just stand you up."

He shook his head. "People are convinced you did it."

"Why?"

"He was killed only fifteen minutes after you left. Police say that's long enough to get to your apartment, get a gun, and shoot him." He shook his head once more.

She bit the side of her cheek. "Well, I didn't. I was doing my homework, and I was feeding my pokemon. And reading." She sat down on a bench and tried to ease the pain in her heart by tugging at her hair. Why was this happening?

Miguel frowned. "I'll carry you home?" He offered. She looked reluctant, but he pulled her onto his back either way.

She hugged him tightly when he was carrying her. Then she yawned. "I wish that this didn't happen to me."

"Me too." He said, digging in his pocket for his keys. He had a key to just about everyone's house, because he never lost anything. He was, like, the spare key guy! He opened her door, closed it behind him, and manuvered until Bubbles was in his arms like a bride before placing her on her bed. He sat on the side of the bed and stroked her hair.

"You should sleep," he said, "You look tired. The police said something about your teachers instant messaging you last night, so they'll know it wasn't you."

"I'm not worried about jail," She said, "Because I know I'm innocent, so I'm not scared. I'm worried about my security."

"What?"

"I've always had Tracy. He looked after me since even before I knew you, not that I remember that far back. If it wasn't for you always reminding me, I wouldn't remember when we met. But, I didn't even... I didn't even say goodbye to him that night when I left. I didn't say goodbye, or hello now that I think about it. I didn't talk to him." She found herself crying, and she sat upon her elbows. "What am I supposed to do? I just lost one of my only family members."

"You're lonely?" He asked, almost confused as to what she was saying.

"I'm scared." She said, "Now I know that death can come to the young. I'm scared that it will happen again, but to someone close to me all the time, like you."

"I think we went over this, I won't die, you won't die, we won't die. Not until we're old and grey and covered in wrinkles. Then we can die, because we'll be too ugly to care."

She laughed and sniffled. He wiped the tears from her cheek with his thumb. Then he pulled her blanket over her as if she was a two year old and hugged her tightly.

"Now look who's acting like a mother." She smirked. He touched her nose with a dainty smile.

"Brother." She said, "Until I can be more." She blinked up at him. What? He kissed her forhead and started to walk out. "Get some sleep, call me later."

WOOT FOR THE CHAPTER! FOR PIKA44'S SAKE, CHAPTER TWO IS GONNA BE MAINLY ABOUT A POLICE INTERRAGATION AND SUCH. AND MAYBE ASH MISTY AND BROCKS REACTION TO TRACY'S DEATH. HEY, DID YOU NOTICE THIS IS ALL IN CAPS LOCK? I COULD GO BACK AND FIX IT, BUT THEN I WOULD HAVE TO RETYPE THE WHOLE THING. LOL.
