Ash Learns an Important Lesson

	I know, I stopped working on my series for a bit.  Don't worry, it will continue, I just got a new 
idea and had to write it.  Some of you might think I'm a little to harsh on Pikachu though.  Send all

Disclaimer: Pokémon are not mine and it probably won't ever be mine.  But I really wish it would be mine 
so I can turn all my stories in to animes.


	"So you finially made it to the Elite 4, Ash.  I heard so much about you.  I'm impressed but you 
won't beat me!" said Lorelei.  It was the second time Ash went in to the Pokémon League Championships 
again.  This time he beat all of the trainers competing against him and got to the battle the Elite 4 starting 
with Lorelei.
	"Send out your Pokémon!" the judge said raising both green and red flags he was holding.  Ash 
was the red trainer and Lorelei was the green one.
	"Cloyster, go!" said Lorelei throwing the Pokéball.  Her Pokémon in a flash of light eager for 
battle.
	"Bulbasaur, I choose you!" said Ash throwing the Pokéball.  Ash's seed Pokémon appeared.	
	"Six against six match!  Let the battle began!" said the judge raising both flags again.
	"Bulbasaur, the vine whip!" shouted Ash.  The vines shot out of Bulbasaur's back and whipped at 
Cloyster.  Clyster lazily withdrawed and was not hurt at all.  After a while, Bulbasaur stopped knowing it 
would do no good (Poor Bulbasaur).
	"Aurora Beam," Lorelei said in a calm cold voice.  She seemed extremely bored.  Cloyster opened 
its shell and fired a rainbow-colored beam.  Bulbasaur was hit hard and Ash called it back.
	"Pika Pika(Oh, no)," sighed Pikachu who was at Ashs side through out the whole league.
Ash sent out Squirtle this time.  Squirtle rushed forward with a head butt attack but only received a 
bruised on its head from Cloyster's hard shell.
	"Spike Cannon," said Lorelei in the calm voice that started to annoy Ash.  Cloyster shot 3 spiked 
balls out at Squirtle.  Squirtle was hit in the head twice and once on his stomach.  Squirtle fell down 
knocked out.  Ash recalled it.  
	Soon, Ash's Muk, Pidgeot, and Charizard was knocked out from Lorelei's Cloyster.  Charizard 
didn't even try but got knocked out by Cloyster's surf attack.  The last Pokémon he had left was Pikachu.  
	"Pikachu, I choose you buddy," Ash said looking down at his strongest Pokémon. Pikachu rushed 
in to battle.
	"Thunderbolt now!" said Ash.  Pikachu released thousands of volts of electricity in to Cloyster.  
Cloyster was instantly knocked out.	Lorelei decided to send out Dewgong next.
	"Aurora Beam," said Lorelei this time not calm anymore.  The fight had suddenly got more 
exciting for her.  Dewgong shot a rainbow-colored beam at Pikachu.  Pikachu dodged the first one but got 
hit by a second Aurora Beam.  
	"Pikachu, try your Thunder attack!" suggested Ash.  Pikachu called forth all the electricity it had.  
A large lightnning bolt from the sky hit Dewgong knocking it out in one hit.
	"Good job, but your little Pikachu can't even compare to this one, go!" taunted Lorelei throwing 
another Pokéball after recalling Dewgong.  A Jinx appeared before Pikachu.  Pikachu was too exhausted 
totry another electric attack.  Ash could tell it was out of electricity.
	"Agility now!" shouted Ash.  Pikachu ran around Jinx.  It was so fast that only a yellow blur was 
seen around Jinx.
	"Blizzard," said Lorelei in her cold clam voice again.  Jinx glowed light blue with power and 
suddenly an ice storm began on the whole field.  This was too much for Pikachu.  It fell down in a 
shuddering heap.
	"Ash has run out of Pokémon, victory goes to Lorelei and Jinx," said the judge.  Many people in 
the crowd cheered.  Ash picked up Pikachu and began to walk out of the Indigo Stadium.
	"Ash, don't be upset, you did good!" Lorelei shouted over the roaring crowd.  Ash ignored her 
and left.
	"Ash, are you ok?" Misty ran to him from the audience's bleachers.  Misty was the only traveling 
with Ash now.  Tracy wanted to remain on the Orange Islands and Brock was still at Proffesir Ivy's.
	"Leave me alone!" Ash shouted.  He walked past her towards the cabin they were staying at.  
Misty followed extremely worried.  She knew she couldn't tease or insult him when he was this upset.  She 
was Ash's friend after all.
	Ash got in his bed after giving all his Pokémon some potions.  He recalled all of them except for 
Pikachu.  Pikachu stayed at Ash's side.  Ash laid down on his bed queitly ans started to think where he 
had gone wrong.  He remembered training all his Pokémon really well.  Pikachu was trying to help all the 
time.  Misty entered the room slowly.
	"Ash, are you ok?" she asked again.
	"I said 'leave me alone'," said Ash in a serious tone.
	"Don't you wanna talk about it?" Misty asked in a worried voice.
	"No," Ash said.
	"Well, I want to talk about it!" shouted Misty a little angry.
	"Fine, you wanna talk! Let's talk!" Ash shouted.  He sat up in his bed.  He had a very angry 
expression on his face.  Togepy suddenly started crying.  Misty had to calm it down before starting to talk 
to Ash again.
	"Ash, you beat 2 of her Pokémon.  Thats very good.  Whats wrong, you can come back and try 
again next year,"  said Misty in her worried voice again.
	"You don't understand, Gary beat her.  Now I'll never hear the end of it from him.  He'll taunt me 
for the rest of my life," said Ash now more sad than angry.
	"Ash, I've been studying how you handle your Pokémon and I think you --" Misty started.
	"The way I handle is fine!" interrupted Ash angry again.
	"I'm just trying to help!  If you get as close to your other Pokémon as you are with Pikachu, they 
will become stronger!" shouted Misty.  Ash was silent for a minute.  He had never thought of such an 
idea.  He suddenly realized how Pikachu battled much more then the others.  This cause Pikachu to be 
much stronger.  
	"Ok, I'll try it," said Ash knowing Misty was right (Misty is a gym leader, she should know a lot).


2 weeks later...........


	Ash finailly arrived home at Pallet Town after many lost turns and wrong short-cuts.  It was still 
like he remembered.  Thier was Proffesor Oak's Lab about 5 minutes walking time from his house.  Gary 
Oak's house was 5 more minutes away from there.
	"Hi, Ash!  I've missed you!" exclaimed Ash's mom as they neared the house.  Mrs. Ketchum gave 
Ash a big hug before turning to Misty.  "Nice to see you again, Misty,  You can stay here if you like," 
offered Mrs. Ketchum.
	"Thank you," said Misty.  They all went in to the house.  Mrs. Ketchum stared cooking one of her 
big banquet dinners.
	"Tommorow, we go to Proffesor Oak's," said Ash.  Misty nodded in response.  Ash was feeling 
better but was still sensitive about the subject of losing to Lorelei.  It wasn't really because Lorelei beat 
him, it was because Gary could do it and he can't.
	
	"Whats wrong, Ash?  You're not eating much," said Mrs. Ketchum looking at her son.  He was 
staring off in to empty space thoguhtfully.  Misty had to explain why he was so upset about losing.  His 
dinner was getting cold, Misty with the help of Togepy and Mrs. Ketchum had already finshed their share 
of the food.  
	"Ash, are you ok?" Mrs. Ketchum asked.  
	"Huh, nothing," said Ash taking a few bites of his food.  He then started to stare off in to empty 
space again.


	The next day, Ash and Misty went to Proffesor Oak's Laboratory, where Ash could train all the 
Pokémon he caught at the same time.  "Hi Ash, I heard about your defeat.  I'm sorry.  But I am pround of 
my grandson for going all the way up to Agatha before losing," said Oak.
	"Hi, we're here to train my Pokémon," said Ash.
	"Hello, Ash has to learn a lesson," teased Misty.  
	Oak lead them to his back yard where all the Pokémon could stretch thier legs.  Ash called out all 
of his Pokémon from his Pokémon and called the ones stored by Oak over to him.  His Klinger and many 
Tauros came over immediately but Snorlax would not move.  In the end, Ash had to move the meeting to 
where Snorlax was sleeping.  But Snorlax would not wake up until Oak played a Pokéflute he had.
	"Ok, guys, like it or not, I'm gonna become your best friends and your gonna be my best friends," 
said Ash.  Charizard decided it would be fun to fry Ash right about then.  After a nasty flamethrower 
attack, Ash was jet-black and charbroiled.
	"Pikapi(Ash)?" shouted Pikachu worried.
	"I'm ok.......," Ash managed to got out before falling down again from trying to get up.
After Ash recovered, they decided to concentrate on Charizard first because it caused the most problems.
	"Ok, Charizard, I want this to end right now!  Tell me whats wrong!" Ash yelled.  Charizard 
actually backed away a little frightened.  Ash was never like this before.  It roared a few times trying to 
tell Ash something.  Ash was clearly confused.  Charizard then glared at Pikachu causing Pikachu to hide 
behind Ash.
	"Hey, don't take it out on Pikachu," said Ash.  Charizard roared a few more times trying to say 
something else.  Pikachu must have understood because it started to cry.  "Pikachu, what did Charizard 
say?" Ash asked.
	"Pika Pikapi(It's all my fault)!" Pikachu screamed before running off.  Ash ran after it but soon 
lost sight of Pikachu.
	"Pikachu, come back!" shouted Ash.  He looked all over the place until finding Pikachu back 
where the rest of Ash's Pokémon was.  Pikachu seem to be making an annoucement.  All of the Pokémon 
listen carefully and nodded in agreement.  Ash decided to secretly in since he only understood Pikachu.
	"Charizard, jealous of Pikachu.......?" Ash whispered to himself.  
	"Pikachu Pika Pika Pikachu Pi Pikachu (Now I don't you to here too many 'Pikachu that' and 
'Pikachu this', for Charizard's sake.  Sorry everyone)," said Pikachu bowing downwards begging for 
forgiveness.  The Tauros, Squitle, Pidgeto, Bulbasaur, Muk, and Kingler forgive Pikachu quickly.  
Snorlax was asleep again after forgiving Pikachu itself.  Misty watched the Pokémon from a distance 
hugging a sleeping Togepy.  She couldn't see Ash and looked worried.
Charizard just glared at Pikachu.
	"Pika pika(Please, I've change my ways)," begged Pikachu bowing down in front of Charizard.  
Charizard looked away in disgust and snorted a puff of smoke.  It was stubborn one.
	"Pika Pikachu(Please, I'll do anything)," begged Pikachu.  Charizard smiled an evily thinking of 
all the possibilities.  Charizard roared excited about the idea it just had.  At that moment, Ash decided to 
step in and stop this but Pikachu would not let him.
	"You can't do this to Pikachu!" Ash yelled at Charizard.
	"Pikapi Pikachu Pika Pika (I need to do this, please bring me a hundred pies)!" Pikachu shouted 
to Ash.  After about an hour of arguements, a hundered pies were baked in the oven.  100 cherry pies were 
finished in a few hours.


	"Chu!" screamed Pikachu as all the Ash's Pokémon started using Pikachu as target practice.  All 
the Pokémon except Pikachu had a common weapon, a lot of cherry pies!  This was Charizard's great 
plan, to get back at Pikachu by throwing pies.
	*SPLAT!!!!!* Charizard hit Pikachu right in the face with a pie.  Squirtle nailed another bulls-
eye.  Pidgeot dive bombed Pikachu with another one.  Soon, where Pikachu was standing was a big pile of 
pies.  Everyone laughed at the degraded Pikachu but soon Pikachu joined in on the laughter.
	"Everything is gonna be ok now.  Time for you to start getting to know them better, start by 
trying to understand thier speech," said Misty.
	"That's a good idea," agreed Oak.
	"Ok!" said Ash as he walked towards his laughing Pokémon.

	Exactly one year later, Ash beat the Elite Four, Gary, and last year's Pokémon Master.  Ash was 
then declared as the new Pokémon Master.  No one could beat him for many years until....well, that's 
another story.(I don't know if I should write this later on.)
