Yes, another chapter. I'm working harder to get more chapters out before my 5 day vacation to the beach. So ready or not, here I go with chapter 11. I would like to thank those who e-mailed or AIMed me about my story.

Disclaimer:I don't own Pokémon and never will.

Warning: Contains super natural powers of Ghost Pokémon, so if this offends you religously, don't read it. I know I sound silly but somebody at school was offended by a short clip of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Level 22 Umbreon
Level 20 Growlithe
Level 18 Scyther ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Morty really made it a challenge for me to get to him. His students battled me left and right but it provided my Pokémon with a lot of experience. His secret path also annoyed me almost to the last nerve. I finially made it to his side of the gym.

"Next victim?" Morty laughed at me with the normal gym leader's arrogance. I nodded at his question.

"Alright then, we'll have a four-on-four battle. I'll start with Gastly," said Morty. He threw a Pokéball and the gaseous Pokémon, Gastly came out.

"Scyther," I said sending out the mantis Pokémon. I thought about this during breakfast at the Pokémon Center. Ivysaur couldn't battle becuase Morty's Pokémon are resistant to grass attacks. His lowest leveled one was Gastly, which Scyther would battle with his Dark Pursuit attack. It wasn't very strong but it was very effective against ghost types. Growlithe and Azulmarril would battle the Haunters because they had good special attacks. Umbreon had expertise on dark attacks so he would face Gengar.

VS.

"Use Curse," said Morty with a hint of excitement.

"Pursuit, Scyther," I said.

Scyther blazed forth with his incredible speed. His blades glowed with dark engry as he rammed it through Gastly's gaseous body. Gastly didn't show any signs of pain but I know he was hurt. He opened his mouth in concentration. A purple light hit Scyther but it didn't seem to hurt him though. A purple glow remained around Scyther's figure though.

"Lick," said Morty. I didn't say anything but Scyther knew what to do.

Scyther went in for another Pursuit attack but was surprise as the Curse took affect. I could see a little bright green visible energy exit his body and disappeared in to thin air. Gastly took the advantage and licked Scyther in the face with his long toungue. Scyther took another swipe with his claw hurting Gastly again and sending him out of the match. I recalled Scyther as well becuase he was Cursed. Purple energy floated in the air and disappeared as if showing me the curse was gone.

"Haunter go,"said Morty.

"Growlithe," I said sending him out.

VS.

"Night shade," said Morty.

"Ember," I instructed.

Haunter pointed and shot dark purple energy that hit Growlithe. Growlithe retiliated with Ember. A small blast of fire hit Haunter. Haunter launched another Night Shade, Grolithe tried to dodge but was hit and sent down to the ground. Growlithe launched another Ember from his mouth causing Haunter to back away a little.

"Curse," said Morty.

"Flame Thrower," I said.

Haunter eyes glowed and his hands were position as if he was floating an invisible glass ball. A ball of purple energy appeared between his hands. The ball disappeared as it turned in to a bolt of energy and hit Growlithe. It didn't hurt him but a purple glow remained like when Scyther got cursed. Growlithe inhaled deeply and unleashed a large column of flames. Haunter drew back as he was burned by the fire. His coloring was slightly more red as he was hit. A little bit of red energy exited Growlithe's body getting a small whimper from him. Haunter was hurt from the burn he received.

"Lick," said Morty.

"Flame Thrower again," I instructed.

Haunter moved in for the Lick but was interrupted by another column of fire. He continued until the curse hit him again causing a small whimper to escape his lips. Haunter licked Growlithe in the face. Growlithe launched another Flame Thrower but was knocked out by the curse. Haunter fainted from the constant heat.

"Go Gengar," said Morty sending Gengar out with his eternal grin. I was expecting another Haunter from him but I guess he saved him for last.

"Umbreon," I said sending him out.

VS.

"Hypnosis," said Morty.

"Use your Pursuit," I said.

Gengar pointed his hands towards each other sending out dark purple hypnotic waves. Umbreon, luckily, wasn't looking and went through Gengar as dark energy with is Pursuit attack. The attack didn't do that much damage but it worked.

"Night Shade," said Morty.

"Now use your Faint Attack,"I said.

Gengar shot out a bolt of dark purple energy. Umbreon dodged the first blast but was hit hard by the second one. His dark aura didn't seem to help him much defensively. Gengar shot another bolt of energy but it only went through Umbreon's fading body. Umbreon attacked from behind unexpectedly and sent Gengar flying. Gengar turned to fire off another bolt of energy that glanced off of Umbreon's right shoulder.

"Concentrate, Gengar, concentrate. Use your Lick," said Morty.

"Bite attack," I said.

Gengar jumped forward, mouth wide open. Umbreon attack instantly by biting on Gengar's hand and pulled him down face first. Gengar got up immediately Licked his chin upwards visciously. Umbreon jumped back and shook off the wet spit. He blazed forward in a sudden Pursuit attack. Gengar was hit but retaliated with a mean blast of Night Shade attack. Both Pokémon was panting now from being hit so many times.

"Faint Attack," I said.

"Curse," said Morty sensing that I dreaded the attack.

"Attack, hurry," I added.

Umbreon gave it everything he got in to this last attack. He forced himself to fade away first before Gengar attacked. He hit Gengar with all his strength, his black aura disappearing as he hit. Gengar released a purple light, his Curse attack took effect. Suddenly, Gengar smiled turn in to a look of confusion and then he collapsed. Curse must have taken wihat was left of his HP. Umbreon looked at Gengar with no sign of pain, exhaustion, or triumph. He suddenly collapsed.

"Umbreon, are you okay?" I shouted to him. Umbreon but he nodded weakly. I called him back in to his Pokéball si he could rest.

"Not bad...," Morty said with a sneaky smile. He threw a Pokéball and out came a Misdreavus. She was a big surprise to me, I was expecting a Haunter. No doubt this was his strongest Pokémon.

"Ivysaur," I said sending out my strongest. I knew that Misdreavus wasn't a Poison type so she wasn't resistant to Ivysaur's attacks.

VS.

"Psywave,"said Morty.

"Leech Seed," I said.

Misdreavus unleashed a purple wave of psychic energy, Ivysaur shoutedi n pain as the wave hit him. I forgot that Misdreavus knew psychic attacks, Ivysaur's weakness because he was also a Poison type. Ivysaur launched a seed that attached to Misdreavus and drained a little of her HP. The HP was then transferred to Ivysaur.

"Psybeam," said Morty. He knew about Ivysaur's weakness to psychic attacks and was fully taking advantage of it. This was gonna be trouble.

"Sleep Powder," I said

Misdreavus shot a flashing beam that hit Ivysaur dead on. Ivysaur sprayed a sprinkling blue powder all over Misdreavus. It didn't seem to put her asleep but her eyes were drooping a little. She was getting a little sleepy. Ivysaur was about to faint from all the damage he'd taken. The health he was getting from the Leech Seed barely helped.

"Do it again Ivysaur, she's almost asleep," I instructed.

"Curse," said Morty.

Misdreavus shot out the purple light that brought the glowing curse on to Ivysaur. Ivysaur launched some more Sleep Powder and this time Misdreavus was fast asleep. Leech Seed drained more energy for Ivysaur but that energy was darined by Curse followed by a little bit more.

"Now keep attacking, Razor Leaf," I said quickly. Ivysaur had to beat Misdreavus before the Curse darined all his HP. That's why I didn't tell him to do Solar Beam. Morty remianed silent but ever watchful.

Ivysaur attacked full force with Razor Leaf after Razor Leaf. Misdreavus took it about three times before waking up in a weakned state. she woke and shook her head only to be hit by another Razor Leaf. Both Pokémon were tired out and ready to end the match by now.

"Now use Psybeam," said Morty.

"Vine Whip," I said.

Ivysaur was slightly faster this time and whipped Misdreavus across the face harshly. Misdreavus attacked with Psybeam knocking Ivysaur back. Both Pokémon fainted at the same time, Misdreavus from Leech Seed and Ivysaur from the Curse. Both us called back our Pokémon.

"Congradulations, you earned this," said Morty. He walked up to me and gave me the Fog Badge.

"Thanks," I said. I took the badge and hurried to the Pokémon Center to get my Pokémon healed. Most of my Pokémon healed fast but Ivysaur and Umbreon took a little longer. I was just glad they were okay.

This chapter is about another badge with a very long battle. Tell me what you think, thanks!
