Chapter 1: On The Road Again The glass floor made a clicking sound quietly to the touching of her glass shoes. The dress was long enough to touch the floor, and lightly drag across the dancing marble tiles. The sun crept out of sight and fell across the horizon, as if tumbling down to the edge of space. The light mist fell on the balcony of marble, and into the small creek that made a small sound of clitter clitter. She walked out to the balcony and rested her gloved arms on it. Her light orange hair fell to the marble railing and her deep blue eyes were relaxed and focused on the silver moon. It seemed to dance, and she pictured a princess within it, slowly moving to a beautiful melody. She leaned more on the railing and dipped her fingers in the cool sparkling creek below. Her lavender gown shone in the moonlight and she gazed into the reflection in the little pond near the creek. Misty was richer than ever, yet she still felt sick to her stomach like she still needed something. This was her ball, and knowing that 1 month ago, Ash and Brock left her behind with her parents, Marylina and David Smith. She missed her parents more than anything, and now, she couldn't have been happier if she ran away. She always knew her family was rich, after Daisy admitted that they were given her to raise. She knew she had the choice to go with Ash and Brock again, but didn't take it. She never thought it would brake her heart. "Misty dear! Your mother and father wish to see you!" Misty looked up from her relaxed spot to see her faithful personal servant/friend, Marina. Marina had beautiful blond hair, brown eyes and a wonderful figure. Misty nodded and followed her friend into a study-like room. It was really a library, because there were hundreds of books on golden shelves, filled with poetry, romantics, mysteries, fantasies (Misty's personal favorites) and horror. Misty would sometimes ask Marina to take her here so she could lay in the huge chair by the walk in fireplace. Now however, she felt quite uneasy. "Misty. You are 15, and we have not seen you since you were 5. That's ten years. We need to get to know you better. So, we decided to book a cruise, just the 4 of us. Yes, Marina included. I would never split you two up." Her father said calmly. Misty smiled. She remembered the first time she went on a cruise. She, Ash and Brock decided to take a trip to the Isles of Eutopia and visit the wonderful shops and shores. She fell in love with the tropical scenery and never thought she was really there. Of course, they bumped into Red, a girl-thirsty boy who went right after her. He kidnapped her and left her underneath a devastating shack. Red almost killed her, when Ash saved her. She was in debt for her life. It was then and there she knew. She must have had feelings for him. And she still did. Right there, in that library with more books than anywhere, she wanted him more. "Misty, we decided to go to the Isles of Eutopia, on the ST. Maryanne. Well, plenty of people are going, so it will be a good chance to learn about your social status." Her mother added. Misty dazed out. How could she live with this on her case? "Misty...Misty?? MISTY!!" Her father yelled. Misty snapped out of her daze. "Yes father? Oh, yeah. I appreciate what you are doing and I love you dearly, but, well the truth is.... Well, the truth is..." Misty failed to say her thoughts, and her mother must have known. "You miss that Ash boy, don't you?" She whispered in her ear. "Uh huh." Misty replied softly. Her mother smiled kindly. "You two must be off now!" She said with a twinkle in her eye. The golden door shut behind her. Misty walked out to the balcony again, it was the most enchanting place. No one went there besides her and Marina. She found a golden locket on the tiles. It had a tiny picture of Ash in it. Also, her picture was inside too. It had a message engraved on the back, which read: Misty, the reason of life She didn't know who it came from, but it made her tear up. In the back of her mind, she wanted to think Ash was here, but she saw him walk away. She looked up, to see a shooting star blaze across the sky. Her heart perked up. What she wished for was a secret, but the next day, there were signs that things were looking her way. Misty's eyes fluttered open to the light of the sun, shining into her window. She smiled, her heart felt warm, in some way. She changed into a pink tank top and jean shorts and quickly ran outside. Her heart was full of joy, but then something happened. The mailman came the to gate of the property and called for her. "Miss Smith! Your Mail is here!" She got up and rushed to receive the mail. "Thank you, sir." He left, looking at the house once more. Misty rushed to the house, looking through the mail and suddenly stopped. Her mouth dropped. She ran inside, dropped the mail for her father (who, like many dads at the table, was reading the newspaper, drinking numerous amounts of coffee, etc.) to read. Then, she rushed outside to the courtyard and pulled Marina. "Where is my hug, young lady?" Her father said warmly. Misty smiled. "I love you papa!" And she was gone in an instant. "What's up with her, Mary?" David asked his wife. "I have no idea." She said, knowingly. And with that, he went back to the black prints. "OOOHHH MARINA!! WOW!" Misty exclaimed. She did a twirl and jumped everywhere. "I haven't seen you this happy, well, ever. What is it?" Marina said, alittle shocked. "Marina, look at this letter!" It read: Dear Misty, I needed to write to you again. I am nothing without you. Please, Misty, see me again. I am having a birthday party at my house in Kanto, I would be honored if you came. You know, I imagine you love that locket. Ash Marina looked just like Misty did. "Oh Misty, see? He does love you!" She said happily. "Marina, I've known. But he doesn't know I do. So, I will need to show up in Kanto, then get the guy. That simple." Misty said, pleasantly. Marina looked rather unsure. "This is the guy you haven't seen for a month. How do you know he doesn't have a new job? Or worse-a girlfriend?" Marina was right. She didn't see him since November. A girl, Melissa really had her eyes on him. "Your right. I will make a surprise entrance. I he loves me, he will stop everything. If he doesn't, he will kick me out. See?" Misty said, wisely. Marina smiled. "Yes, that's good." Ash stood at his door. He planned on meeting his friend Melissa today. She hated Pikachu, so he tried to keep his pokemon locked in his room. Pikachu would cry all day, and see a grumpy, broke Ash around 8pm. "Pika pi!" he would say, and Ash would say, "Not now, Pikachu." Pikachu couldn't wait to see Misty again. She would cure him for Pikachu. "Ash!!" Pikachu would hear that call, and he knew, his friend was gone. Sure enough, the call came and Ash and Melissa were gone. Pikachu couldn't stand this anymore. "Pika pika pi pik chu..." (Oh Ash, where is the old you?) Ash's messy black hair was under his usual cap, and a chain was around his neck given to him by Melissa. Engraved on it was, Ass, not Ash. He didn't mind, however. He was much taller, and Melissa told him to dress with baggy pants and shirts. Melissa was a blonde who lived to make Misty's life horrible. That is why she was dating Ash. She was quite popular in the neighborhood and is the reason Ash is too. She would waste Ash's money on junk and make his life miserable too. But she was the only one he had. Since Misty left. Ash loved Misty. He adored her since the moment her deep blue eyes met his when she hooked him on her fishing pole. He bought her a locket and put their pictures in it, and left it the night he left her on the balcony. He knew she had a party a few nights ago, but was not invited. He wondered if she really cared still. Finally, it was the night of Ash's party. Misty and Marina wanted to look their best, after all, if Misty was to win Ash's heart after a couple months of loneliness. Misty's long orange hair had been given dark orange streaks and her eyes lids were touched with silver eye gloss. Her hair was down (about to her mid-back) and wavy. She had worn only a bit of makeup and her nails were a light lavender color. She wore a lavender tank top and a pair of jeans capris that sparkled lavender and shone in light. Her shoes were a pair of flip-flops and the locket. She was nervous, yes, but scared to face him, no. She knew he was probably dating someone, but who cared. She could win him over. Marina wanted to look nice to. Her soft light brown hair was neatly brushed and was wavy, just like her friend's hair. Her eye lids had blue gloss and she wore a blue sundress. Her sweet-girl sun hat made her look fabulous. She put just a bit of lip gloss on and was happy with her look. The two girls were ready. They said their good-byes to Mr. And Mrs. Smith and ran over to the limo. "Oh my gosh, Marina, I am so nervous! I haven't seen him for 3 months!" Misty said nervously. Then she remembered her sad time on the balcony, alone. How she wished on that star, for her most desirable occurrence to happen. How her mother winked at her that same night. She knew, things would be ok. "Misty, there comes a time, to face your fears. You will enjoy knowing him again." She said promisingly. At last, they arrived at his house. It was just how she remembered it to be. Misty smiled gently. "Breathe in, Misty." Marina told her. From outside, they could hear laughter of the party. Marina led Misty up the front stairs (Misty was way to nervous to lead anybody) and rang the bell. Misty heard a thumping. It was like a drum, but steady and soothing. The door knob creaked. Misty's eyes, heart and whole body couldn't stand the time. The door slowly opened. Misty began to feel herself shake, with fear. The door was fully opened to Ash Ketchum, who looked like a rapper gone wrong. Misty almost wanted to go home. "Hi Misty." He said under his breath. She was still shaking. "H-h-hi A-Ash." Her foot moved slowly to the doorway. Marina smiled. "Hi Ash, I am Marina, Misty, my BFF has told me you are SUCH a great trainer. Um, well, I expected you to look a bit different, but that doesn't really matter." Misty was shocked at the relaxation Marina demonstrated. "Hi, Marina. Girls, come on in." He led them to the room where everyone was chatting happily. When the two girls entered, they stopped. They stared. Melissa snickered. "So, everybody knows Misty, right? And this is her friend, Marina." Ash said, obviously embarrassed. "Well, well, well. What a PLEASANT surprise!" Melissa said with sarcasm. She then pulled Ash out of the room. "What is SHE doing here? I thought she wasn't coming!" Melissa said, angrily. "Well, um, I never got a reply from the invite I sent so I figured MAYBE she wasn't coming." When the two of them came back, Misty was awfully suspicious. She didn't see Pikachu anywhere. And that certainly wasn't like Ash. She suddenly heard small whimpering. It was coming from Ash's room. She started to head that way when Ash caught her. "Do you need anything, Misty?" He asked. "I just need to...um, oh yeah, drop off something with your mom." She replied. Ash nodded and walked over to Melissa. Misty walked through the hallway and heard a horrible noise from Ash's room, again. She slowly entered, as not to make a sound and she gasped. "Pikachu!!! What are you doing up here alone?" Misty asked sadly. Pikachu slowly walked over to her and hugged her. "Pika Pi Pik Chu Hu Pika." ( Ash's girlfriend Melissa hates me so he locks me in here everyday.) Misty couldn't believe this. Then she understood Ash's changes. Melissa liked to change boys to make the girls they like feel bad. "Come on Pikachu, let's get out of here. I don't want to be here anymore." She said sadly. Pikachu jumped on her shoulder and they walked down the stairs. Marina saw her and followed. Ash must have seen this too, because he ran out the back way and tried to get her back. But no, they were in the limo and out of there before he even thought to go. "Oh Marina, he's changed so much, I can't believe it. He left Pikachu, his absolute best friend in his room everyday. How could he?" She told Marina sadly. "You know, have you ever read Cinderella? Well, the prince comes back for her. So maybe he will..." Marina said, trying to get her friend to smile again. "You think?" Misty said, trying to cheer up. "Uh huh." Marina said. The two girls hugged and smiled. "Pika pi!" Pikachu jumped on Marina's lap. Back at Misty's house, 2 weeks later, Misty was having a birthday bash. Pikachu was included in all of their activities, as they all loved him. Her mother and father planned to invite their friends and some of hers (without telling her who) so it was equally fun. They also wanted a pokemon house built, where the pokemon went for day care. Misty and Marina worked on their dresses. Misty was going to wear a silvery evening gown, with 2000+ real diamonds. Her gloves were silver and have many diamonds too. The dress came down to the floor, and looked as if it danced across it too. It was made to only fit on Misty and looked perfect on her. Her little tiara had little gems on it too. Marina was wearing the same design in a light pink dress. The girls loved the outfits and couldn't wait to show them off. "Oh wow, Marina, you look fantastic in pink!" Misty said happily. Pikachu squealed too. "And Misty, you look just like a princess does in that dress!" Marina said. Finally it was the day of the party. Misty and Marina were upstairs all day long, as not to spoil anything. Pikachu was being washed and looked really cute! They put a little bow tie around his neck. Pikachu was tired today, maybe because the three of them decided to land a rocket but it accidentally landed in Mr. Smith's coffee. Mrs. Smith had been with the bakers, the designers, the party receptionists, and everybody else who was working for the party. She had put almost everybody to work, and had a good reason for it. In 7 hours, the party would begin. After a couple hours, Misty and Marina got their hair done. Misty's hair was wavy and long, they brushed her hair for 1 hour, so it was perfect. Marina's brown hair was pulled into a bun and a few bits of hair were falling out of it. Also, they're make up needed to be put on. A bit of silver eye gloss, red lip stick with gloss over it, blush, mascara, and cover up did the trick for Misty. Marina's face only needed lip stick and eye shadow. The two girls were so pretty already. Finally, they picked out their shoes. Misty picked out a nice pair of glass high heels and they fit perfectly. Marina's pair of pink high heels were lovely against her dress. After hours of beauty work, they two girls looked like princesses. Soon after, it was 9pm, and time for the party. Misty and Marina stood at the gates welcoming guests. There were guards all around them. After the guests entered the house, the two girls walked inside. Misty walked outside to the balcony and saw the silvery moon. It was just like 5 months ago, the same beautiful princess seemed to dance within its beauty. The moonlight seemed to left a huge impact on her dress, it shone brightly when turned to the sun. Infact, she was lit up to look like the princess in the moon. She leaned on the railing of the marble balcony and dipped her finger tips in the trinkling water. She once again looked into her reflection. She didn't feel right. Just kind of queasy. She knew what she was missing and felt ashamed that she still did. "Why am I like this?" She asked herself. Suddenly, she saw a shooting star. She knew what to make a wish for this time. Suddenly, there was a disturbance at the gate. "I am a guest here, please let me in!!" a 15 year boy yelled at the guard. "No, not without the approval of the birthday girl." The guard responded. Misty ran off the balcony, across the field and to the gate. "Hey!! What's going on?" Misty yelled from across the field, running still. She came closer and stopped. It was Ash. "What do you want this time, want to take back your Pikachu so you can leave him in your room all day and forget about him? I don't think so." She said, obviously annoyed. As she turned to walk away, Ash grabbed her hand. "No. I can't believe I fell for her, I overheard her talking about how she only wanted to make you feel bad, not date me. I am so sorry." Misty couldn't decide. Her head was telling her, "No, are you kidding?" but her heart was telling her, "Go for him, honey!" She felt like her body was tearing apart. "Oh Ash, I missed you so much!!" She ran back and hugged him tightly. Suddenly, he kissed her on the cheek. She giggled like she would never stop. "Aha hahahahah Mari- hahaha!!" The two of them ran to the girl at the door, who was smiling and laughing so hard, she almost fell over. After hours of partying, Mr. And Mrs. Smith decided to let Ash stay the night because Kanto was very far away. The next morning, Ash planned to go on a Journey again. He asked Misty's parents if Marina and Misty could go. They did think it was a good idea because the three of them could talk whenever now. Misty was especially happy. They packed up and walked out of the gates. "Good Luck you three!" The parents said as the three walked off. "PIKACHUUUU!" Pikachu ran after and jumped on Ash's shoulder. "Hi my old friend!" Ash said to Pikachu happily. ______ _____________ _________ Yeah! I finished part 1 in my first story:) Do you like it?
