CHAPTER 11
CROSSOVER 2: BATTLE ON CINNABAR ISLAND

From Fuschia City, Kamon saw on his Pokégear map, he should head on to Cinnabar Island, by Surfing through the Seafoam Islands.  He arrived at Cinnabar, just to discover that it was destroyed by a volcano!
"I…I can't believe it," Kamon said in awe.  The volcano was several hundred feet high, and was very active from the recent rumble that he felt.  He was in search of the Pokémon Gym rumored to be there.  He searched for around a half an hour before he saw another trainer.
He was in a wheelchair and was wearing average clothes, jeans and a t-shirt.  He had brown hair, and was grasping a Pokéball.  Kamon approached him.
"Hey," he started, "do you happen to know where the Cinnabar Island Gym is located?  It should be about…here," said Kamon, walking over to the side of the volcano.  "But, it's not.  It was sorta been, um, demolished."
"Yeah, I know," the trainer said.  "But you're gonna have to beat me to get me to tell you where it is.  I'm Jason, glad to meet you.  And fight you, if you accept."
"Of course I do.  And by the way, my name is Kamon.  I have to beat Blaine to get all of the Kanto Badges.  Now, what should the battle be?  Three-on-three, six-on-six, two-on-two…"
"A three-on-three will do fine with me.  Are you ready?  Go, Magcargo!" said Jason.
"Too easy.  Corsola, go!  Use Surf!"  A wave of water rushed over the snail-looking Pokémon.  It had a brown shell composed of rocks, and a small flame emerging from it.  It was pink, and looked as though its skin was made out of lava.  Even bits of his chin were dripping down onto the rest of his body.
"Hah, I have trained my Magcargo very, very well.  He won't go down to just a Surf.  Magcargo, Earthquake, now!"  Magcargo barely moved, but the earth around him did.  The ground split and cracked from underneath Corsola, and would have knocked her out exept that she hung on with the Focus Band.
"Yes!  Corsola, use a Whirlpool to K.O. Magacargo!" Kamon said, thrilled.  Magacargo was surrounded with spinning water, and took continuous damage.  In a matter of seconds, Magcargo was overwhelmed with the attack, and fainted from it.
"Magacargo, come back.  You were awesome.  Now, Dragonair, go!"  Kamon knew how to battle a Dragonair; he had battled Lance's twice, and both of Clair's.  He wasn't expecting much, that is, until he saw it.  It was shimmering, and had sparkles gleaming all oover it.  It was, instead of the usual blue color, a reddish-orange, a slightly darker color than Dragonite.  "Dragonair, Extreme Speed, now!"  Dragonair dove at Corsola, and then rammed into it with great speed, and easy K.O.
"Corsola, return.  Electabuzz, go!" said Kamon, reaching for Electabuzz's Ultra Ball with his left hand instincively, until he realized, mostly because of the pain in his elbow, that he had switched all of the Pokéballs that were on his left side (Delibird, Electabuzz, and Umbreon.  By having three Pokémon on his left and three to his right it made it easier to acess the Pokémon he wanted to use) to his right because he couldn't use his left arm.  "Okay, now, use Ice Punch!"  Electabuzz thrusted his fist at Dragonair, icicles circling it.  Dragonair was highly damaged by this, but by no means close to being knocked out.
"Dragonair, Slam!  Then, quickly, use a Dragonbreath!" Jason commanded.  Dragonair slammed his tail on top of Electabuzz, pinning her to the ground.  Dragonair then blew bluish-greenish flames down at Kamon's yellow-and-black striped Pokémon.  Electabuzz was apparently paralyzed by this, as it was a great strugglr for her to stand.
"Electabuzz, Thunder attack, now!" Kamon yelled.  Electabuzz let out a howl, and then a lightning bolt dropped from the sky and onto Dragonair, also paralyzing him.  "Now, Psychic!"  Electabuzz was unable to move, and therefore the attack failed.
"Dragonair, Waterfall to finish it!"  Water rose around Dragonair, and then fell upon Electabuzz, finishing it.
"All right Electabuzz, you can rest.  Now, you can fight, Typhlosion!"  Kamon threw his Fire Pokémon's Ultra Ball into the dirt and rubble, and from the glowing, shimmering white light came forth Kamon's mighty Pokémon.  "Typhlosion, Dynamic Punch!"  Typhlosion charged at Dragonair, and then with an explosion, Dragonair was out.
"No…my Dragonair…return.  As my final Pokémon, I'm using Quilava!  I'm going to show you that evolution does not matter.  Your Typhlosion lost speed when it evolved.  My Quilava might not have as good stats as your Typhlosion does, but will that matter if you can't hit me!  Quilava, Double Team, and then Agility!"
"Ha!  You would think you could get away from me, wouldn't you?  Well, let me tell ya something, Jason.  I have been around the block more than once.  I know how to handle almost any attack.  Nothing, I mean absolutly NOTHING is new to me.  Typhlosion, Flame Wheel the ground!"  Typhlosion launched the flame around his body, traveling along the ground, striking all of the illusion Quilvava.
"You do know your stuff.  Quilava, Iron Tail!" Jason said.  Typhlosion took a blow from Quilava, and then went to counter-attack him.
"Typhlosion, Dynamic Punch!"  Typhlosion charged at Quilava, but he suddenly disappeared!
"Ha, good job.  Now, Skull Bash!"  Out of no where Quilava headbutted Typhlosion in the back, but he knew that that was coming.  He braced himself for it with Endure, and then used Thunder Punch, critical hit.  "Quilava, now, Body Slam!  Follow up with a Bite!"  Quilava slammed on top of Typhlosion, and then bit him in the neck.
"Typhlosion, finish it with Mega Punch!"  Typhlosion uppercutted Quilava in the stomach, and then rolled backwards to prepare for another attack.  Quilava did the same.  Both Pokémon had black marks all over their body from their attacks.  They were breathing heavily, and looked like they weren't going to last much longer.  "Typhlosion!  One last attack!  Fire Blast!"
"Quilava, counter-attack with your Fire Blast!" Jason yelled.  The huge flames met in the middle, and with a fantastic explosion, the battle was over.  "Quilava?  Are you still alive?"
"Typhlosion?  Come on, buddy!  You have to still be alive," Kamon said.  After the smoke had cleared, the two trainers found out really who had won: the match was a draw.  "What!?" Kamon exclaimed.
"No way!" Jason said, surprised.  "Well, I really underestimated you, Kamon.  I must hand it to you, you are very strong.  But now, I must heal my Pokémon and pick up the other three from there.  And…I believe I owe you a small secret.  The Cinnabar Gym…does not exist.  It was lost in the volcano eruption."
"What?  But then…" Kamon was interrupted.
"But, Kamon.  Blaine, the gym leader, is still very much battling.  He is located in the Seafoam Islands.  I believe you passed them on your way here."
"Yeah, I did.  Well, thank you.  Thank you very much, Jason.  Well, I suppose this is goodbye, for now.  I hope to battling you again.  Maybe next time I will win."
"Yeah, okay.  But, you're not going to win."
"Why not?"
"Because I am."
Kamon and Jason parted ways, and Kamon left back to the Seafoam Islands, and Blaine.
