CHAPTER 15
ENDGAME

Mt. Silver was a huge mountain, with billowing white smoke emerging from the top of it.  Kamon arrived there and stood in awe staring at it.  He then looked at his Pokégear to view a map of the inside of the mountain.  The Pokégear displayed a green, three-dimensional, holographic map, and helped guide Kamon through the dark caves and grottos of Mt. Silver.  After an hour of walking, Kamon reached the summit, where he found another small entrance.  He jumped down, and inside there was a fabulous waterfall creating a furrow full of water around the stony, but flat, arena.
"I'm glad you were able to find me, Kamon," Drew said, smiling.
"Wha-what are you doing here?" Kamon exclaimed.
"Isn't it obvious?" Drew asked, "I have already beaten Ash.  There's no need to beat him now if he isn't the champion."  Drew grinned even more than he already was.  "And now, I am the champion!  Kamon, I have been waiting for this moment my whole life!  And you aren't going to take the glory away from me, Kamon.  I will defend my throne.  Kamon I want you to challenge me."
"Fine then.  Drew, I challenge you to a Pokémon match!  To see who really is the Pokémon League Champion!"
"No…to see who is the Pokémon Master," Drew replied.  "And I accept your challenge.  Heracross, go!"
"Electabuzz, come out and use Psychic!" Kamon commanded.  Both trainers through their Pokéballs into the arena, and from them emerged their prized Pokémon; for Drew, his Heracross; for Kamon, his Electabuzz.
Both Heracross and Electabuzz shined blue for a second, and then flashed white, and then Heracross took serious damage.
"Heracross, Earthquake attack, now!" Drew yelled.  Heracross stomped on the ground, making it tremble and crumble underneath Kamon's Electric-type Pokémon.  The attack almost knocked out Electabuzz in one hit, but, by some miracle, she lived.  "Fine then.  Heracross, finish Electabuzz off with a Fury Attack!"  The very weak attack struck Electabuzz four times, doing just enough to knock her out.
"Electabuzz, return," Kamon said, recalling his Pokémon, "now, Typhlosion, go!  Use your Flamethrower attack!"  Typhlosion went on all fours as the flames on his back lit up, and then he blasted a stream of fire at Heracross, but she hung on with the Focus Band.
"Ha ha ha…" Drew said, "I outfitted my Heracross with the Focus Band so that she could use Reversal, full-power!  Now, Heracross, do it, now!"  Heracross shot a beam of white energy at Typhlosion, causing a big explosion!  The attack brought Typhlosion down to a little less than half-life.  He then finished Heracross off with a Fire Punch.  "Heracross, return.  Okay, Feraligatr, it's your turn, go!"  He threw a Great Ball into the hippodrome, and from it came the all-too-familiar blue alligator.  "Use your Hydro Pump!"  A immensely large ball of water was blasted at Typhlosion, and when it hit him it almost made him fall into the water below.
"Typhlosion, regain your balance!" Kamon yelled.  Typhlosion pounded his fists on the ground, making him stand back up.  "All right, good job.  Now, use a Thunder Punch attack, now!"  Typhlosion punched Feraligatr with sparking knuckles, paralyzing him.
Drew grunted.  He was slightly disturbed that his Water-type Pokémon could lose to a Fire-type Pokémon.
"Feraligatr, another Hydro Pump to finish Typhlosion off!" Drew commanded.  Feraligatr performed the same attack, but this time it missed.  "Fine then.  Feraligatr, Rock Slide, now!"  Feraligatr threw boulders and stones at Typhlosion, making him lose his balance once again, but this time he started to fall, down to the water below.
"Grab onto the edge, Typhlosion," Kamon said, "come on, Typhlosion!"  Typhlosion stuck his hand out, and was barely able to grab onto a crag, and then, with a small flip, Typhlosion wasa back on his feet and back in the arena.
"This isn't an acrobatics lesson, Kamon," Drew said, "this is a Pokémon battle.  Now, I'm waiting to see a real fight, not some fancy flippin'.  Now, Feraligatr, show him what a real Pokémon battle is!  Use Crunch!"
"Typhlosion, Smokescreen and then a Dig!"  Typhlosion temporarily blinded Feraligatr, and then dug its way underground.
"Okay, Feraligatr, Earthquake!"  What Drew didn't know was that Typhlosion was already on his way up.  Typhlosion came from underneath Feraligatr, knocking him off of his feet and doing a small amount of damage.
"Typhlosion, finish Feraligatr off!" Kamon started, "with a Hyper Beam!"  A gold energy beam was launched from Typhlosion's mouth, striking Feraligatr and knocking him out.
"Wha-what?" Drew stuttered.  "Okay, fine then.  Feraligatr, return.  And, Kamon.  Just to let you know, you unleashed this on yourself.  Tyranitar, go!"  Drew hurled a yellow-and-black Ultra Ball into the coliseum, and from the white, shimmering light emerged the monstrous Rock-and-Dark-type Pokémon.  It was a olive green color, with spikes on her back, and a thick, long tail.  She had evil-looking eyes, and seemed to have an attitude to destroy its opponent.
"What in the world is that!?" Kamon exclaimed.  He pulled out his Pokédex Max too see what exactly a Tyranitar was capable of.
"Tyranitar.  A Rock-and-Dark-type Pokémon.  No specific information is available.  Some attacks include:  Crunch, Rock Throw, Sandstorm, Iron Tail, Earthquake, and Hyper Beam," Max the Pokédex said.
"It's not like that information is going to help," Drew said.  "Tyranitar, Earthquake to finish Typhlosion off!"  Tyranitar pounded on the ground, making it shake and crack.  Typhlosion was knocked out from the impact of this, forcing Kamon to switch Pokémon.
"Typhlosion, come back, and Corsola go!  Use Hydro Pump!"  Kamon's pink coral Pokémon blasted water at Tyranitar, doing a very large amount of damage.
"Ha, Tyranitar, use your Thunder!"  A thunderclap crashed on top of Corsola, almost knocking her out in one hit.
"Corsola, Mirror Coat attack!" Kamon yelled.  Corsola reversed the attack, but it did not affect Tyranitar at all.  "But how?" Kamon wondered.
"Remember, Kamon, Mirror Coat is a Psychic-type attack, and Tyranitar is a Dark-type Pokémon," Drew responded.
"Oh, darn it!" Kamon uttered.
"Yes, indeed.  Tyranitar, finish Corsola off with an Outrage!"  Tyranitar flashed a couple of times, and then blasted a white, green, and blue energy ball at Corsola, knocking her out.
"And I thought that only Dragonite could learn Outrage…anyway, Corsola, return.  Golem, go!  Use Earthquake!" Kamon said.  Golem came out and then slammed himself on the ground, causing the quake and doing a lot of damage to Tyranitar.  Tyranitar recovered its confusion from a held Miracle Berry, and then continued her assault on Kamon's Pokémon.
"Tyranitar, Iron Tail attack, now!"  Tyranitar swung its massive tail around, making it crash into Golem, doing a very large amount of damage.
"Golem, try to use Dynamic Punch hard enough to knock Tyranitar into the water!" Kamon yelled.  Golem swung its small fist around and then punched Tyranitar, making her fly across the stony arena, and, as Kamon hoped, knocked her into the water.
"No, my…my Tyranitar!" Drew screamed.  "Oh, well.  Return.  Well, Kamon I am impressed.  As my last Pokémon I'm choosing…"
"Your last Pokémon?" Kamon questioned.  "You should have three left, not one."
"I only need one more to win."  Drew grinned.  "Lugia, go!"  Drew threw a Master Ball into the rocky island, and from it came the enormous silvery Pokémon, Lugia.  Lugia's very presence took Golem aback.  Apparently Golem could feel, or sense, Lugia's power.  A sixth sense, Kamon figured.
Kamon knew this was going to be a very tough match.  He picked his attack wisely.
"Golem, Rock Slide, now!"
"Barrier, Lugia," Drew said, smiling.  The rocks Golem hurled at Lugia crumbled on the psychic shield that Lugia had created; the shield weakened, however, and the rocks eventually came through, but they did very, very little damage.  "Now, Steel Wing attack!"  Lugia dive-bombed Golem, and then struck him with the iron-hard wings.
"Golem, another Rock Slide!" Kamon said.
"Yeah, okay.  Waterfall, Lugia!"  The water crashed down on top of Golem , and knocked him out.
"Yikes…Golem, return.  Delibird, go!  Use Blizzard!"  The snow and ice struck Lugia, doing mediocre damage.
"Lugia, Flamethrower!" Drew commanded.  Lugia spat flames out at Delibird, doing a whole lot more damage than Blizzard did to Lugia.  "Now, finish it with a Shadow Ball!"
"Delibird, Icy Wind!" Kamon said.  Delibird got in one last attack, and then was knocked out by the Ghost-type attack.  "Okay, return.  For my last Pokémon I'm choosing Umbreon, go!  Use Faint Attack!"  Umbreon struck Lugia from behind, doing, again, mediocre damage.  Lugia came right back with, however, an Aeroblast.
The attack looked like a huge, white beam, with swirls of orange and blue around it.  There was a huge explosion when it hit Umbreon, critical hit and almost knocking him out.
"Lugia, finish it!" Drew yelled.  "Hyper Beam!"  The golden ray of energy & light hit the ground, not Umbreon, but caused an immense explosion, knocking out Umbreon very easily.
"No…my…my Umbreon.  Return," Kamon said, halfheartedly.  His 3rd loss, ever.  And to the same person that had beaten him months before.
"Good match, Kamon," Drew said.  He recalled his Lugia.
"Yeah, your Lugia is really strong," Kamon said.  He walked out of Silver Cave, and went back to Saffron City, where he would take the long train ride home.
