Mistletoe: Blessed or Cursed? by Cel3stial drag0N Hey guys! This is a one-shot fic, hope you enjoy it! Also, if you guys have any good ideas for stories and you want me to be co- author with you or write the story for you, please e-mail me! Cya! Disclaimer: I don't own pokemon. Sweet, simple, and to the point. Ages Ash/Misty: 17 ****** Ash and Misty had stopped in Goldenrod City to participate in a Christmas ball. Almost all their friends were there. Ash, being the dazzling young man he is, was asked to dance by a lot of different girls. However, he politely refused all of them. Even though he was dressed in a stunning outfit that made him look exceedingly handsome and very mature, the truth was, he didn't know how to dance. Misty, however, knew had to dance exceptionally well. Although many men asked her for the honors of dancing with her, she turned them all down. There was only one man that she wanted to dance with that night. (A/N: Guess who it is? It's pretty obvious. Oh, and I'm not describing the clothes they are wearing 'cuz I'm just an average boy who cannot tell a good outfit from a bad one.) Ash was pigging out at the buffet table, eating everything in sight. After he finally satisfied his hunger, he went over to the punch table and got himself a drink. He drained the cup in one gulp and just went to the dance floor to chill. He had nothing to do with dancing, anyways. However, he didn't notice the mistletoe hanging above him. ****** Melody (A/N: The one from the Pokemon 2000 movie) was just sitting on a chair, looking for someone. Then he saw him. He was in a black tuxedo, (A/N: Black makes Ash look cool!) just standing there on the edge of the dance floor, not noticing the mistletoe hanging above him. This was her chance! She could finally kiss her long-time crush! She hurried over. ****** Misty was gazing at Ash, looking at him dreamily. She noticed that Melody was hurrying over to him. Misty then noticed the mistletoe hanging above Ash. Jealously boiled within her. "Oh no you don't." ****** "Hey Ash!" both girls called. Ash turned around. "Hi," he said to both of them. "Look at what's above you," both of the girls said at the same time. Ash looked up and face-faulted. "Uh, I'm hungry, so I'm going to go get some cookies," Ash said quickly, before running away. Misty and Melody both sighed. "So close." ****** Ash was walking around, when he noticed he was under the mistletoe again, with Misty and Melody by his side. Ash tried to run away. "Oh no you don't," Melody said, grabbing Ash on the shoulder, spinning him around to face him. "Which one of us are you going to kiss?" Misty asked. "Neither," he replied. "But it's tradition!" Melody whined. Ash quickly made his decision. "Ok, I'll kiss one of you. I think it should be Misty, since I know her better." Ash said. Misty squealed with delight. 'No! This can't be happening!' Melody thought. "You don't have to kiss you know, I was just kidding about the tradition part." Melody said. But it was too late. Ash cupped Misty's chin with his hand and kissed her. Both of them immediately felt a tingly sensation go up and down their spines. They held it for a minute, and Melody couldn't take the jealousy within her any longer. She pulled them apart. "It's only supposed to last for a few seconds!" she pouted. Ash ignored her and took Misty's hand, leading her outside, to the balcony. "You know how I kissed you just because it was tradition?" Ash asked her. "Yeah," she replied. "This time, the kiss means love," he said before kissing her again. ****** In Ash and Misty's case, the mistletoe was blessed. In Melody's case, it was cursed. Mistletoe: blessed or cursed? The world may never know. ****** I just had this idea, and I made this story quickly. I think I'm going to take a break from 'This Means War!' and 'Fighting Back' and start some other ideas I've got in that thing I know as my brain. Please review! Bladestorm56@comcast.net See ya!
