“Are you sure you want to do this?” Misty asked Ash holding out his helmet as he boarded his plane.

“Positive. Besides I am not letting Gary get all the glory,” Ash smirked eyeing his friend getting ready in the plane next to him.

“Okay but remember that I-” Misty began to say but was cut short when Ash awoke. It was only a dream. It was better then the others he had been having. Probably from the dozen cheeseburgers he had been eating before he went to bed on the ship. An All You Can Eat Buffet was to good to pass up for Ash. When he awoke he saw Gary in the bed next to him, a radio, and the clock that blinked 4:30. Still a couple more hours till I need to get up, Ash thought. He couldn’t sleep so he got up, got dressed and making sure the hat covered his Pikachu ears he stepped outside to look at the waves.

“Sure is pretty,” Ash said to himself leaning on a rail thinking that Misty would love it.

“It is Ash,” Misty said leaning down next to him.

“Couldn’t sleep to, huh?” Ash asked already knowing the answer.

“Yup. So is Gary still sleeping?” Misty asked stealing a glance at the door.

“So is Pikachu,” Ash answered enjoying the fact Misty’s head was now leaning against his.

“Could you take off your hat? It’s bothering me,” Misty asked without moving.

“Nope. I’d might scare someone who might see the ears,” Ash answered sighing, enjoying the almost full moon. “So we have only about four hours before we hit Hoenn.”

“Yeh. Maybe you and Gary can take the Gym challenge while we are here,” Misty suggested not moving her head.

“With or without us?” a voice asked in the Sentret language which made Misty almost scream and Ash just smile.

“Hi Senny and Danny. Where are James and Hans?” Ash asked leaning down and talking to them.

“They went home. Hans was needed and James missed his family,” Danny answered.

“But we are here to help,” Senny added.

“You guys scared me!” Misty said angry.

“Did we disturb something here?” Danny asked smiling evilly.

“Maybe. My cabin is there. I already told Gary that you would probably come so he knows,” Ash said opening the door for them.

When they left Ash went back to where Misty was and they continued to watch the sea in silence.

A.N. Short but I usually have longish ones. This is just a set up one. The next one will probably introduce May and Max and I am still fiddling with ideas on how Ash’s cover might be blown.
