Hi, people! I'm back! I stand corrected! Thank you all, for your kind words. I use the 'mail I've recieved as encouragement. Send questions or comments my way, at: pamcam@sprint.ca Now,, the disclaimer: Ah-Hem! "Pokemon never has, and never will, ever belong to me. (Oh...At least not yet...Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! (Evil little laugh!) Hah!)" And, you know plagerism is illegal, or something like that, so if you take this story, I can assure you, Pooka'll have a new chew toy! (Pooka is my...'Pet'.) Now, On with the show! Argg! I mean, Story! Casey put Sheila in the bike basket as they left Lavender Town. Sheila was scratching her ears. "Chaaaaaa!" Sheila cooed. (Finally got that dang itch!) "Okay, now that you've caught a Ghost Pokemon, How do you feel?" Cody said, in his Sports news-caster voice. Casey giggled, riding ahead. "I feel like bungee-jumping without a cord!" "My, My! Don't we sound suicidal today?" "There ain't nobody more suicidal than me!" Casey growled."And it's all 'cause of my Ketchum spirit! Damn stupid genes!" Morgan laughed at that. *Man! She is so funny!* He thought. "I can't wait 'till we get to Saffron city!" Casey cheered,"Right, Sheila?" "Pika-Pika!" "Do you think Diana and Ghastly can beat one of Sabrina's Psycic Pokemon?" Morgan asked, concerned about Casey's chances of winning. "If they can't, I'll keep trying, or go to a different gym." Casey said lightly. Cody nodded in agreement. Morgan was looking at his electronic pocket calander. *November 15th...*He thought,*Not a bad time to be battling at the Saffron Gym. All the big crowds of trainers have moved on...and Casey will have a good chance of getting that Marsh badge!* "Hello? Earth to Morgan?" Casey said, waving her hand under his nose. "What?" "Wake up Morgan!" "Why?" Casey, Sheila, and Cody sweat-dropped. "So, THIS is the Saffron Gym?" Casey asked, incrediously. "Yep!" Morgan replied. *Ok-ay...I was right! They do get goofy-er!* They entered, and saw no one around. They almost got lost, because there were so many twists and turns throughout the gym, but Casey, Morgan, and Cody finally found Sabrina. "Another challenger!" Sabrina exclaimed, standing up."You're the fifth this week, and it's only tuesday!" "Hmmm." was all Casey could get out. *Gee, I thought it'd be empty!* Morgan thought with a frown. "Two Pokemon." "Fine." "Sabrina selects Haunter." "Go, Diana!" The two Pokemon stood facing each other, staring its opponent down. "Haunter, night shade!" "Diana, counter attack with light screen!" Night shade collided with light screen, and exploded. When the smoke cleared, Haunter was trying to make Diana laugh. Being a rather serious Pokemon, Diana merely raised an eyebrow, and took a fighting stance, waiting for her next command. "Diana, doubleslap!" "Clefairy! Clefairy! Clefairy! Clefairy!" Diana shouted, beating the Cr** out of Haunter. "Haunter return! Go Kadabra!" "Hhhh!" Casey gasped, turning white. "Don't let it frighten you!" Morgan shouted from the sidelines. "Mm, Diana! Sing!" Diana began to sing off key, and Kadabra grabbed his ears, howling. Diana stuck out her toung, and gave him the finger. Sabrina's eyebrow twiched slightly. "Kadabra, psybeam." "Diana, light screen!" The shield held. "Now, try the metronome!" "Fairy!" Diana smiled, and began to swing her fingers. Kadabra watched, mesmerized by the pink fingers that swung infront of him. "Clefairy!" Diana suddenly stopped, and the building was racked with explosions.Unfortunetly, Kadabra was only burned in some places. "Kadabra, psybeam again." Diana screamed as it raced towards her. She had run out of energy! Casey felt fear rise in the back of her throat. Diana had been K.O 'd. "Diana return! Go, Gastly!" "Kadabra, confusion!" "Gastly, night shade!" "Kadabra!" Kadabra screamed. "Gastly! hit him while he's down! Hypnosis!" Kadabra instantly fell asleep. "Oh! Kadabra! Return!" Sabrina walked over to Casey. She put a Marsh badge in Casey's hand."I haven't had a battle that good, or that long, since... since..." Sabrina thought for a second."Since I battled your father." Casey didn't even bat an eyelash. "Thank you, Sabrina." Outside, Morgan and Cody faced Casey. "How did she now which trainer your father was, if she didn't know your name?" "Well, DUH! She's psycic!" Casey snorted. Morgan and Cody sweat-dropped. "Oh, right." Casey sighed. "Shall we...?" She started, sarcastic and annoyed to the teeth. "Uh, yeah." "Now, I think Celadon City isn't too far away. We can go there." "This is the Celadon Gym?" Casey gaped,"I was right! They are getting goofier every city!" Morgan and Cody howled with laughter. Inside, it was wall to wall gardens, and a big arena. Lots of girls were milling about, gossiping with one another. "Oh, another trainer!" a girl with green pigtials squeeled, stepping out from behind the counter at the back of the room."Erika will be thrilled! She hasn't had a good battle in weeks! Oh, Erika? There's another trainer for you to battle!" "Oh, that's great!" Erika replied, walking over to the group of amused travelers. Casey smiled. Erika grinned at her. "I supose you are the trainer who wants to battle me?" "That's right." "Alright, I'll battle with you. 2 Pokemon." "Okay!" Erika led them into the arena. "Go, Gloom!" "Go, Vulpix!" "A Vulpix!" Erika gasped."I'm in trouble! But I've got my own tricks up my sleeve! Gloom, sleep powder!" "Vulpix, flame thrower!" "Vulll!" Vulpix cried, blasting through the powder, and hitting Gloom squarely in the face. "Gloom, return! Go Victreebel! Use your acid." "Vulpix, jump up, then on! Now use ember!" Vulpix obeyed, on Victreebel ran around screaming, trying to put itself out. "Victreebel, return." Erika walked towards Casey. She smiled and handed Casey a Rainbow badge. "Here, you've earned this!" "Thank you, Erika!"Casey beamed, and turned to Vulpix."Hey! Isn't this great Vulpix? Vulpix! What's the matter?" Vulpix was down on her knees, and begining to glow. She grew bigger, and had more tails than before. "Ninetails." it replied. "You evolved!" Casey yelled, wrapping her arms around Ninetail's neck. "Congratuations, Ninetails!" Morgan said, petting the fox pokemon. "Which way?" Morgan asked. They were at a crossroad. Casey consulted her map. "Well, Fusha City is that way..." Casey waved off in the left direction. "...and Ivee Town is this way..." Casey waved her hand absently to the right. "So..." "So...?" Morgan and Cody repeated. "So...you decide." "Which one has a gym?" "They both do, dummy!" "How do you know?" "My dad got a soul badge from the Fusha gym, and my mom got a blossom badge from Ivee Town." "Then you pick." "I have a better idea." Casey pulled a silky scarf from her back pack, and tied it around her eyes."Spin me!" she ordered. "Oh! I get it! This'll be fun!" Morgan grabbed her arms and spun Casey in a wide circle, on the tips of her toes. After a gracefull pirouette, Casey tipped over, and landed on the path to Ivee Town. Peeling the scarf from her eyes, she stood up. "Ivee Town. Okay, let's go." "Oh!" Casey moaned."The gym is closed!" Indeed, it was. 'Notice: The Ivee Gym is closed for Blossom town holiday 'Hooray for Grass Pokemon day.' Will be re-opened tomorrow.' "At least we can take a break, Casey." Morgan said."We've been on the road for weeks since Celadon." "I guess so..." Casey said, doubtfully."Well, okay. My moms family comes from Ivee town, so I've heard abot the 'Hooray for Grass pokemon day' festivals. Anyone who has a Grass Pokemon can let it loose, and there's a big show, and prizes for the best Grass type pokemon entered. Later, tonight, there's a party." "Wow! That sounds fun!" "Mm-hmm! it should be." Casey smiled."Do you have any grass types?" "I have a Bulbasaur, and a Vileplume." Morgan replied. "And back home, I have a Weepinbell, and an Oddish." Cody supplied. "Well, I have a Bulbasaur, and an Oddish. Oh! And an Eevee!" "Huh?" "I can use a leaf stone on Eevee, to get a new species called a Vinemeon, like my mom did." "And where do you expect to get this stone?" "Right here!" Casey pulled a small cloth package out of her back pack. Inside was a shiney green stone."I got this for my ninth birthday." Fiddling around with her Pokedex, Casey withdrew her Eevee from storage. "Eee!" it said, licking her masters face. Casey held the stone to Eevee's back, and soon, was laying flat on her back under her new, (and heavy) Vinemeon. It was forest green, with pale green paws. She had a pair of long ears that looked almost like leaves, and pale, luminescent green eyes. There was a tuft of medium sized leaves on her head, and a ring of larger ones sprouting from her neck. Her tail was made of long, large leaves, and her claws were made of thorns. "Whoah!" Morgan and Cody gasped. "Morgan, Cody, meet Vinemeon." "Hi!" "Vine!" She barked happily. As they walked through town, people stopped and stared at the strange and gracefuly beautiful Pokemon. "I guess Vinemeon's aren't usually seen around here much often." Casey chuckled. "What does dexter say about Vinemeon?" Codey asked, sitting his Oddish down on a bench. "Let's see." Casey replied, flipping out her Pokedex. There was a pause. *See list?* came up on the screen. Casey pressed O.K. 'Pound, Defense Curl, Bite, Vine whip, Tackle, Screech, Leech Seed, Razor Leaf, Stun Spore, Pollen, Scratch, thorn cannon.' "Wow, that's a lot of attacks!" The group was at the show, and Casey had entered her Vinemeon. Morgan had entered his Bulbasaur, and Cody had entered his Gloom. The three Pokemon quickly eliminated half of the other Pokemon in the show. Soon it was down to Vinemeon, Gloom, Bulbasaur, and an Oddish, a Bellsprout, and an Ivysaur. Bulbasaur was far more superior to Ivysaur, which put him ahead, and Ivysaur out. Bellsprout was better than Oddish, and Gloom was better than Bulbasaur. It was down to the wire, as Vinemeon, Bellsprout, and Gloom faced off. In the end, it was Vinemeon who won. "Yay! Vinemeon, you were great!" Casey cried, hugging her prize-winning Pokemon. For the first time, Morgan and Cody saw Casey wearing something other than her plain traveling clothes. A dress, in fact. It was a pale lavender sundress, with a thin, black leather belt around her waist. Her long, ebony hair was tied back in two odango's, with tiny Lily shaped clips. "What're you guys staring at?" she demanded, annoyed. "Uh, we were, uh..."Morgan stamered. "Want a spit bucket, drooly?" Casey muttered disgustedly."C'mon, let's go." "Get away from me, perverts!" Casey screamed. She had somehow been separated from Morgan and Cody, and was now facing Jessie and James. "Look, just be a good kid and come with us! Maybe I can have a little fun with you first!" James said, advancing on poor Casey (poor Casey my foot!). Reaching down, she unwound the belt from around her slim waist. "Ooh! Look! The kid's going to strip!" Meowth howled with laughter, then stoped short. Casey had wrapped the belt around her right fist, and was stepping closer to them. Then she made her move. Grabbing James by the collar of his uniform, she punched him in the jaw. Then she hit Jessie across the cheek, and punched Meowth between his beady little eyes. "Thanks for the target practice, Team Idiot!" Casey yelled over her shoulder, running back towards the party. There, Morgan and Cody asked her where she had been. She told them. Morgan got so mad, that Casey and Cody had to drag him back to the Pokemon center, kicking and screaming "Death on Team Rocket!", and dump him in the shower, to cool him off. Later, after soaking her bruised knuckles in a bowl of ice, Casey sought out Morgan. He was sulking in his room. "What's wrong, Morgan?" Casey asked softly. "Everything! I should have been there to protect you!" Morgan replied, in a sulky tone. "But you weren't. I can take care of myself, sometimes, Morgan." Casey patted his back. Hesitating, she kissed the top of his head."G'night Morgan. You'll get over it." As Casey left the room, Morgan stared after her. *She kissed me!* (Authors imput: Wowwy-Dowwy! Never thought she'd do it, didja? I thought it'd be fun to throw in a lu-lu, right about there. Well, this sure is going to be strange!) "Go, Ivysaur!" "Go Vinemeon!" Casey was battling the Ivee Town gym leader, Rosie, for a Blossom badge. "Solar Beam!" Rosie shouted."Knock that over-grown weed's block off!" "Defense curl, and thorn cannon!" Vinemeon curled up into a tight ball, and shot lethal thorns at her enemy. Most were burned up by the solar beam, but some got through and hit their enemy. "Ivysaur, return! You're goin' down, kid!" Rosie seethed."Go Vileplume! Stun spore!" "Vinemeon, counter attack with pollen!" Vinemeon lifted own of its leaves, showing a seed pod, which blossomed, and matured. Bits of yellow pollen shot from the blossom, and formed a barrier around Vileplume, subjecting it to its own attack. When the pollen cleared, Vileplume had been K.O'd. "Vileplume!" Rosie cried, picking up her comatose Pokemon. Vinemeon plucked the blossom off her body with a vine, and stuffed it in Vileplume's mouth. Vileplume revived, and yawned. "Thank you!" Rosie said, handing her a Blossom badge."You've earned this." "Thank you, Rosie." The threesome- <> Sheila interjects. Alright, Sheila! The foursome have reached a quiet town, called 'Aurina', and are at the Pokemon centre. "Gee, Morgan. Aren't you over it yet?" Casey asked. Morgan was still very upset about not being there for Casey in Ivee Town. "Mmmnnnhhh." Morgan muttered. "Do you hear something?" asked Nurse Joy, walking by them. "Like what, auntie?" Casey asked her great aunt. "I don't know. It sounds kinda like a ticking." "A what?!" Ka-boom! Sheila squeeled with terror. Casey backed up against a wall. Morgan ducked below a counter, and Cody lay flat on his back. The explosion came from the supply room, sending a deadly barrage of hypodermic needles flying across the room. One hit Casey in the arm, and everyone froze. Ripping it from her afflicted appendage, Casey peered at the lable on the syringe. She paled, and the words 'K.O! K.O!' flashed through her mind. "Oh, boy. That's not good!" "What is it?" Morgan asked. "This is a special drug, that'll put me out for at least ten hours." Casey yawned."And, It's a double dose. I'll see you tomorrow. G'night." With that, Casey toppled over, landing on Cody. "Casey! Casey, wake up!" Morgan pleaded, shaking his friend. Her response was a sleepy mutter. Then, from behind them, came an evil laugh. "I see our little plan has worked!" Morgan slowly stood up, and faced the two people he hated the most. "Cut it out!" he demanded."This isn't funny!" "Oh! I'm sorry, little boy!" Jessie snickered."But it's way past your bed time. Take this!" She whiped a fully loaded syringe at Morgan. He ducked, and it missed him, but just barely. "Cody, get Casey out of here!" "Right, Morgan!" "Nurse Joy, I'm borrowing your Chansey for awhile." "Go ahead!" Nurse Joy replied, backing away. "Go Charmander, Eevee, Butterfree, Zubat, Pidgey, Bulbasaur! Attack together! You too, Chansey! Combine your attacks!" From where they were hiding in the back room, Cody and Nurse Joy could hear a huge explosion, and the screams of Team Rocket making their usual exit. Morgan and the Pokemon entered. "Oh, gee! Nice hiding spot!" "Shut up!" Casey woke up feeling tired and un-refreshed. And thirsty, too. "Yo, Morg! I think she's up!" "Don't call me that! It sounds so morbid!" Morgan said, wrinkling up his nose, and brushing a lock of sandy-brown hair from his face."Casey! Are you alright?" "Yeah..." Casey managed a smile."I'm thirsty, though." Without hesitating, Morgan returned the kiss Casey had given him the previous week. "Mmmhhh!" Casey responded, eyes wide, welcoming it. Cody, Nurse Joy, and Sheila looked on, puzzled. "Uh, did we miss something?" "Still thirsty?" Morgan asked, after they had come up for air. "Not any more." "So, you two are...going together?" "Yeah." Morgan responded with a nod. "Well, if you want to put it that way..." Casey shrugged. They were taking a break in a forest. Casey was brushing Sheila, Cody was playing with his Pokemon cards (how typical!), and Morgan was sorting out dates and events in his electronic organizer. *Whoh-ho! What have we here?* He thought in surprise.*Christmas is next week! I'd forgotten!* He looked over at Casey, who was trying to un-tangle the spikey little tuft of hair on Sheila's head. *I think She'd like that Water stone I found back near Cerulian.* Taking it out, he inspected it.*It's too plain. I know! Boy, have I got a good idea, or what!* "C'mon. Let's get going." he suggested casualy. "What's your hurry?" Cody asked, stacking up his cards,"You got any particular reason for wanting to go?" "N-no!" Morgan stammered."I-I just don't want to sit around doing nothing." "Sure, Morgan, Sure." Casey said, rolling her sparkling, black eyes. "No, really!" he insisted."I just have too much energy!" "Sure, I belive you." "Cut that out!" " 'Welcome to Nerissa Metropolis.' " Cody read from the sign outside of the city they were entering."What the heck does that mean?" "It means 'Metropolis of the sea'." Casey sighed."Isn't it romantic?" "Uh, yeah." Cody said uncertainly." 'Course it does." Casey turned to Morgan to get his opinion. He was out of it. "Yo! Earth to Morgan!" Casey shouted. "Wha-?" "Stop day-dreaming! You almost bumped into that car!" "Sorry." Once they had seen the sights, Morgan split up from the others, saying he had some business to take care of. Casey and Sheila shrugged, and went swimming at the Nerrisa Metro gym (It isn't a Pokemon gym), but Cody followed Morgan. Morgan wasn't aware of Cody's pressence, and went on his merry way, entering a cretain store. Looking up, Cody saw it was a jewelry store. He peered in through the store window, and saw Morgan speaking with a clerk. Then Morgan handed him a Water stone, and started describing something that Cody couldn't hear. Shrugging, Cody wandered away, puzzled. Morgan hugged the small package to his chest. Inside was Casey's christmas present. *Man! She is going to love this!* he thought happily.*And since she doesn't really belive in stone indouced evolution, unless she really wants to, this is perfect! No way she'd want to used it on Bubbles, anyway!* When he got to the Pokemon center, Cody was reading the latest issue of 'Pokefenatic' magazine. Casey was sitting in a chair, with her face burried in her arms, on her drawn up knees. She also wasn't wearing her tunic, giving Morgan a good view of her body through a tight, black t-shirt. Sheila was listening to Casey's walk-man. Morgan walked up to Casey, and tapped her on the shoulder. Startled, Casey looked up. "Oh, Morgan! Didja get your business sorted out?" "Uh, yeah. I did." Casey smiled. "Good." Standing up, Casey crossed the floor, and popped a coin into the payphone. "555-6..." she muttered, dailing her number."Okay, you can pick up any time now..." "Hello?" "Hi mom!" "Mama-mia, Bunny!" Ashly exclaimed, in her soft, italien accent."It's good to hear your voice, babe!" "Hmm, I've been away that long?" "Uh-huh!" "Oh, soorryy..." Casey said slowly."Mom, Christmas is next week, and I really hate the thought of spending it away from you and dad." "Hey, s'not your fault, y'know." "Mm. True, mom." Casey shrugged."I stilll miss you." "Ahh, well, you know we miss you, too." Ashly sighed, and paused."Hey, is Sheila there? Pikachu and Piki want to talk to her. Yeowch!" "What's wrong mom?" Casey asked, concerned. "Piki is a little over-excited!" Ashly grunted,"She dug her claws into my scalp!" "Hey, Sheila! Phone call!" Casey called, and the rodent scampered over. "Pika-pika!" Sheila said, holding the phone to her ear. Pikachu and Piki sighed happily. "Pika-Pi!" They shouted happily. "Pikachu, pika-pi pi pi chu!" Sheila cried. "Pika!" Piki sighed. "Pikachu! Pika pika pika! Pikachu!" Pikachu added. "Pikachu! Pikachu! Pikachu!" Piki continued. "Pipipi!" Sheila giggled. "Pipi!" Pikachu and Piki said together. "Pipi!" Sheila sniffed. "Pi!" "Pi!" Hanging up the phone, Sheila turned to Casey's waist, and slapped the button on her pokeball, and was sucked inside. "Poor Sheila." Casey sighed, walking over to her friends."She really misses her parents." *Kinda like me.* Tears welled up in her shimmering black eyes. Impatiently, Casey whiped them away. She was torn between keeping her feelings bottled up, or throwing a tantrum, right then and there. Sighing, Casey decided to keep her her feelings bottled up, until she could release her frustrations out on some lower life forms, like Jessie and James. "Hey! What was that?!" Casey cried, as a flash of movement outside the window caught her attention. "What was what?" "There it is again!" Casey said, nervously. "Where?" "Out there!" Casey stated grimly, running outside. She came face to face with... "Ash?" "Hmm?" Ash asked, pausing from brushing his long, black hair. "Casey was just on the phone." "What'd she have to say?" Ash frowned, puting the brush down. "Well...She misses us a lot. Sheila misses her parents, too." Ashly looked down at her feet."I'm afraid of what it'd do to her. You know what she's like." "Yeah. I agree." Ash stood up."Where'd she call from?" "I'm not sure." Ashly sighed, and broke off into italien. "Dang!" ...A Jynx! "Jynx-jynx!" it begged. "Oh!" Casey cried out, as it wrapped a long lock of its hair around her arm. She froze. Images of her father, Pikachu, her uncle Brock, Misty the gym leader, and a man that looked like Santa Claus, fighting someone, swept through her mind. Then Team Rocket, and a Lapras. Breathing raggedly, Casey tried to pull away. Then the S.C man, looking older, was trying to keep a whole herd of Jynx's safe, from...Team Rocket! Jynx released her, as Cody and Morgan came outside. "You...want my help?" "Jynx-jynx jynx!" Jynx nodded, holding out her hand, gesturing to Morgan and Cody. "Them, too?" "Jynx jynx!" "Hey, you two! Get your butts over here!" Casey demanded. Jynx led them to the harbour, where a Lapras was waiting. "You...want us to get on?" Morgan asked. "Jynx jynx jynx!" Jynx nodded, before turning to the Lapras. There was a pokeball on a collar around its neck, and Jynx was sucked inside it. Casey, Sheila, Morgan, and Cody all shared one long look, and shrugged. *************************************************************************** Soooo...Anything in here surprise you? <> <> Alright, already!
