Hey, y'all, it's been awhile. This took me awhile to write, so enjoy (and don't badmouth it, or you'll get on my badside) Disclaimer: Pokemon does not belong to me. Simple as that. ;) On with the story! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGG!!!" Casey, Morgan, and Cody screamed in total unison."That was a new bike!!!" "Oops!" James gulped."Missed." "I'll 'oops' you!" Casey snarled, about to knock James' block off. Morgan and Cody held her back. Casey stared at the puddle of molten metal and plastic that had once been their bikes. A vein throbbed on her forehead, and she made another lunge for James. Team Rocket exited hastily, regretting throwing the grenade at Casey and her friends. "Get back here, you Mother Ducking Duckers!!!" Casey shrieked, trying to detach Morgan's arms from under hers, Sheila from her face, and Cody from her waist. Fuming, Casey phoned her mother, still smarting from the loss of her bike, and the sharp reprimanding that Morgan had given her about the use of 'those' words, no matter what form they were in. "Hello?" "Mom?" "Hey! Skye-child, I haven't heard from you in a long time, kiddo! What's up?" "Well, it's kinda a long story, mom, but..." Casey explained everything. Ashly frowned, and pondered, then had a lengthly conversation in rapid 'Pikachunese' with Piki. They came to an agreement. "If you travel on foot, Casey, you'll get more experience as a trainer. You know, catching more Pokemon, and training them to the limit of their powers. If you do that, you'll be a Pokemon master in a snap, Skye. Oh, I have some info that you might like. You have the book I wrote, don't you?" "Yeah." "You can find that rare stone near Fuisha city. If you went from Blossom town to Nerrissa Metropolis and the smallest towns around there, you've been traveling in one big circle." "I've done just that." "Good, that means you're near Fuisha. You can find the stone there. Here's a hint. Near the Fuisha gym is the best place to find it. Good luck, Skye." "So, we're going to back track?" Morgan asked, incrediously. "Yeah, to the woods around the Fuisha gym." Casey shrugged."There's something I want to find around there." "What's that?" "Ah, well, let that be a surprise." While Morgan, Cody, and Sheila were sleeping, Casey was reading one of her mothers books, 'The secrets of stone induced evolution'. Inside was a list of all the stones, including a new one. Casey scanned Ashly's writting. 'This stone is an enigma to scientists around the world. I had found one shortly before my return to pallet town after the Pokemon league. Dark blue in colour, and frigid to the touch, the ice stone is one of the strangest evolution stone in the world. See page 96.' Casey flipped the well worn paper to her favorite page. It contained several new evolutions using the different stones. 'Ice stone: Ponyta: Frostee Pikachu: Arctichu Eevee: Icyeon Pidgeott: Glacieott Casey flipped the page quickly. I have studied the use of several stones on Pikachu and Eevee. I have concluded that the stones can create new evolution stages for each, not just the ones we know about. Pikachu: Fire stone: Flamedrachu Water stone: Aquachu Leaf stone: Ivychu Moon stone: Stellarachu Ice stone: Arctichu Eevee: Leaf stone: Vinemeon Moon stone: Lunareon Ice stone: Icyon All are vey rare, but they do exist. With help from Prof.Oak, I have brought them into existence. In the wild, these Pokemon, and countless others, live in and around the Gem crescent, west of New Bark Town.' Casey sighed, and held the book to her chest. Beside each name was one of Ashly's hand drawn pictures of each Pokemon. 'It can be sniffed out with a Growlithe, as long as they have the scent, and dug out with the help of any rock-type.' *Hmm, I've got a Growlithe and a Geodude with me.* 'The ice stone, as I said, is one of the strangest of evolution stones, and so is the stones location. A few can be found outside of Palette town, and near Fuisha city, particularely near the Fuisha gym. But, for some strange reason, it cannot be found in Stone town.' Casey frowned. *I'm going to find one, and figure out why!* She vow silently. "Okay, Sheila." Casey whispered to her friend."I need you to help me look for something. Okay?" "Pika pika, pikachu pika!" Sheila chirped. (Alright, just name it!) "Good! It's a stone." "Pi pika?" (Say what?) "A stone. A special one. Here." Casey showed Sheila the picture of the Ice stone in her mothers book. "PI! Pika pi _pika_!" (OH! A _stone_!) "Think you're up to it?" "PIKA PI!" (YOU BET!) "If you had the choice, would you evolve into Arctichu?" "Pipika.." (Maybe...) "Don't worry, I want the stone for evolving a different Pokemon, okay?" "Pi-ka." (O-ky) Sheila squeeked. "So, Casey, what is it that you want to find?" Morgan asked, shouldering his back pack, and brushing his now dark red hair out of his eyes. "It's a surprise, chameleon hair." Morgan and Cody eyed their companion suspiciously. Morgan felt his hair. "Huh? 'Chameleon hair?' Okay, Casey, just for that, I'm dying it green next time!" "It'll make it cuter!" Casey said, hugging Morgan's arm. "Girl, you're acting weirder and weirder each day." Cody said, rolling his blue eyes so far back in his head that they looked like colbat slits. Casey ignored him, vowing to introduce Cody to her right fist later. "Go Yukimi!" she said, throwing her pokeball. Yukimi, her silver pink eyed Growlithe appeared, and howled in anticipation of whatever task her master had in store for her. "Grow-ow-lithe!" Casey took of one of the blue studs in her ear, and held it out to Yukimi (coincidentaly, it was made of small chips of ice stone). "Okay, Yukimi, you like that scent?" "Growl-ow-ow!" "Do you have it?" "Growl! Growlithe growl!!" "Okay, girl, go find it!" Naku-chan bayed eagarly and started sniffing around. *Grrr! Roots, dirt, leaf stone; nope that's not it...Grr! Truffle, yuck! That tastes terrible! Aha!* Yukimi thought, picking up the scent.*Here it is! I've got it!* "Grrrooowwwllliiitthhhee!!!" she cried. "Alright!!" Casey yelled excitedly, clapping her hands."She's got the scent! She has the trail!" "The trail of what?!" Cody and Morgan yelled, fed up. "A stone." Yukimi's nose led them far from the path, and towards waiting danger. They were unaware that they were being watched by two sets of eyes. "Oh come on Jessie, I don't think this is right. Why don't we-" WHACK! Jessie nailed her partner with her fist. "James! You're getting as soft as that stupid traitor Meowth!" "I thought he's a Persian-" POW! "Hee hee...Pidgey's!" James giggled, trying to catch the fluttering figments of his imagination. "But, just for once, we're going to leave that little brat alone." Jessie continued."I want that stone she's after, and whatever Pokemon she evolves with it! Then we'll kill her!" James opened his mouth to say something else, but stopped at the sight of Jessie's approaching fist. Yukimi snuffled around the clearing she led them to, and pawed at the ground here and there. Whining, she turned to Casey. "Groooowwww..." Casey held out the earing again, Yukimi practically inhaling it in one sniff. This time, Naku's nose led them to a small out-cropping of beautiful, shiney rock. "Yukimi, reaturn! Go Geodude!" "What the-" Morgan asked."Why do you need that?" "Morgan, he's not a 'that', his name is Ferris." "You named your Pokemon 'the rock'?" Cody asked, stiffling a laugh. *That's TWO I owe you.* Casey thought angrily. "He is a rock, isn't he?" Casey asked sweetly."Ferris, break that rock, please?" "Geo." Ferris replied, and smashed the rock with his head. Glittering amoung the shattered remains of the rock, was the ice stone. "THIS is what I was trying to find." Casey said, picking it up. Morgan reached out to touch the stone, but drew back immediately. "It's cold!" he yelped. Casey nodded. "There's a reason for that." she replied."It's called an Ice stone." "I've never heard of one before." "I have." "What pokemon do you use that on?" "Eevee, Pikachu, Pidgeot, Ponyta..." Casey shrugged."Prob'ly more." "What are you going to do with it?" "I dunno." Casey shrugged again."I don't know yet. I was thinking of-" "Arbok! Get that stone!" The stone suddenly disapeared from Casey's hand, and ended up in Jessie's. Casey's temper boiled over. "Hit the dirt!" Morgan yelled, dropping to the ground, covering his head with his hands. "Ponyta, Yukimi, Ferris, Champ, Persian! I choose you!" Casey shrieked, outraged at having the stone stolen from her like that."Help me get the stone back! Sheila, get in there, but don't let the stone touch you!" "Bulbasaur, help out!" Morgan said, releasing his best Pokemon. "Raichu, you too!" Cody shouted, sending his strongest Pokemon out. Champ smacked the stone from Jessie's grasp with his vine whip attack, and it landed in Cody's hands. Arbok knocked it out of his hands just before Ponyta tried to BBQ him, and James caught it, only to have Yukimi and Persian tackle him into a tree. Ponyta tripped over Arbok's tail, the Ice stone missing her by only a few inches, and bounced off a springy sappling. The stone went flying, and Casey caught it, but Arbok grabbed it again. Persian bit Arbok's tail, and he let go of the stone, but promptly got his jaws around it again. Bulbasaur, Ferris and Sheila grabbed Arbok's tail, laying the snake Pokemon out flat on the ground. The stone flew out of his mouth, missed Raichu's head, and almost hit Sheila, but the mouse Pokemon had other plans, and used a sick to high-bat it away from herself. It bounced off Arbok's head, Ferris made a grab for it, but missed it by only a foot, Yukimi tried to grab it with her paws, but it slipped out of her furry grasp like wet soap, and flew up in the air. Bulbasaur, Persian, and Raichu ran into each other trying to catch the stone, Champ used every vine he had trying to get a hold on it, but it fell, and conked Ponyta over the head. One little touch was all it took. Casey realized what had happened when Ponyta started to glow and grew larger. Instead of a short, firery pony Pokemon, she was as tall as a Rapidash, with a icycle-like horn, and her mane was made of blue ice. Tossing her head angrily, she turned to Team Rocket, snorting with cold [no pun intended] fury. "Frostee..." Casey said. Frostee said nothing, but whinnied instead. *So you weren't gifted with a voice box either, huh.* Casey thought. Frostee stood, waiting for Casey's command to attack. From what Ashly had once told Casey, she knew what to do. "Frostee, swift attack!" Frostee rapidly shook her mane, and small, star-shaped snowflakes shot from it, hitting Arbok square in the face. "Now, use Ice-Fissure!" Frostee raised herself up on her powerful haunches, and slammed her front feet down on the ground. All Team Rocket saw was several large ice spikes plowing through the ground, headed in _their_ direction. Jessie screamed, but James kept his mouth shut. He knew what was going to happen, he was used to it. After Team Rocket had blasted off, _again_, Morgan and Cody took a good look at Casey's former Ponyta. She was nuzzling Casey's cheek, her breath turning her trainers hair white with frost. "Aww, who a cute widdle Pokemon?" Casey was saying."Cutey-wooty-toogle do!" Frostee chortled softly, and turned her mellow brown-eyed gaze at the two boys. The sunlight glinted off her icicle horn. Morgan and Cody stepped back nervously. "S-s-she's not g-going t-to-?" Morgan said, teeth chattering at the thought of what Frostee could do to them. "Skewer us?" Cody finished for his stuttering friend. "Of course not!" Casey snorted."Only if I tell her to!" She paused. "Hmm, shisk-ka-Cody!" she said playfuly."Hey, Frostee..." Cody's face paled. That was too much. His eyes rolled back in his head, and he fainted. "Heh heh heh..." Casey giggled quietly."Gotcha." Awhile later, Cody was taking a nap to calm down (he was a bundle of nerves), Casey was polishing her pokeballs, and Morgan was, once again, dying his hair. "Don't you think that was a bit mean?" Morgan asked, scrubbing at his hair with his Metapod-Green dye. Casey shook her head. "Naw, he's played more practical jokes on us than I can count on my hands and feet." she eyed him closely."I didn't think you were serious about the green hair!" "Well, I am." "What is your natural colour?" "Hmm, lemme think..." Morgan scrunched up his nose."I dunno, I've dyed it so many times, I can't remember. I'm either a blond or a brunette." "Oh, come on, wash it out." Casey said, giving Morgan's arm a light slap. "Okay." "AHHHHHHHH!!!" Casey and Cody looked up from a cut-throat game of poker-mon. "IT WON'T COME OUT!!!" "Uh oh." Casey and Cody said, looking at each other. Morgan's hair looked like the swamp-thing had slimed it. Casey groaned and covered her eyes, while Cody rooted around in their first-aid kit. "Your hair is pretty messed up, Morg, but I can fix it, I think." "You think?!" Morgan yelled."And don't call me Morg! It's so morbid!" "Sor-or-ry! Hey, no gaurantees." Cody shrugged, holding up a bottle of peroxide and a pair of siscors."C'mere." Cody stepped towards Morgan. Morgan backed away. Cody stepped towards him again. Morgan held out his hands in a defensive manner as Cody advanced on him with the peroxide. "Cody?" Morgan asked suspiciously."What are you doing with that?" Cody just grinned, and uncapped the bottle. "Oh, no! No way, Cody, get that stuff away from me! Come on, be a pal!" No mercy, Cody had him backed up against a tree. "Please, Cody, don't-" Cody held a hand to Morgans eyes and dumped the contents of the bottle on his head. "AHHHHHHHH!!!!!! COLD!!!!!!!" Morgan sat in the sun, holding his nose. He had a very medicinal odour, Cody had cropped his hair to just above his ear, and he was hot, but Cody (standing at least ten feet away, holding _his_ nose) kept telling him that the sun was baking the icky colour out of his hair. In fact... all the colour was disapearing! Casey stared open mouthed, and started to say something, but Cody elbowed her in the ribs. "ARRRRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Casey bit her lip, and Cody was trying hard not to laugh. Morgan's hair was white-blond. Morgan took a deep breath, and grinned sheepishly. "I guess we'll find out what my natural hair colour is now." he said with a casual shrug. Casey sat behind Morgan, combing his hair and braiding it. The end result was really cute. "Are trying to make him look like a girl?" Cody asked, interested in what Casey was doing. She glared at him. "YOU already did, Mr. I-think-I-can-fix-it!" Cody backed off. Morgan started laughing uproariously. Casey finished what she was doing, and patted Morgan's damp head with her palm. "There you go, Morgan. Be thankful it isn't green anymore." "I am." Morgan smiled. "Okay, let's go." Casey sighed."Next gym is either gonna be the one on Cinnabar island, or we can go to Fusha city." "I think we should back-track." Morgan replied. "Naw, Cinnabar Island sounds bettter." Cody put in. "Pika-aa!" Sheila shouted. Casey looked blankly at the three as they started arguing. "Well, looks like they'll be fighting for awhile. I'm going to find some Pokémon. I can't stand arguements!" Casey wandered off by herself, ignoring the Weedles, and looking for something cute. She found a group of five Eevee's. "Okay! This'll be easy!" Casey smiled, taking out her best Pokemon."Go Champ! Talk to 'em." "Vine vine vinemeon, vinemeon vine." Champ barked at the Eevee's. They listened. Four shook their heads, and ran off, but the fifth nodded and jumped into Casey's arms. "Now that's how to capture a Pokémon!" Casey laughed."No wasted energy, no resentment. Perfect. C'mon, let's go. Champ, return!" "Eeee." Eevee giggled. "Hey, that was neat!" a voice said from behind them. It was a boy with purple hair and a Bulbasaur. "Were you spying on me?!" Casey yelled. "Ee-vee!" Eevee growled. "No, no. I was just walking by, and I saw what you did, that's all." he smiled."I'm Joey." Casey shook his hand. "I'm Casey. That's a really nice Bulbasaur you have." "Thanks, Casey. His name is Buddy." They began talking about Pokémon, and stratagies, and weaknesses. When the went back to the road, Morgan, Cody, and Sheila were still fighting. "Cut it out, you guys!" Casey barked."Enough! We're going to Fuisha, and that's that! This is Joey. He'll be traveling with us." That shut them up. "Nice hair, Morgan." Joey said, smirking. Morgan turned bright red, and started fuming silently at Joey. He gleefuly imagined the purple haired boy being impaled on a Scythers arm. Casey and Joey spent the week long walk talking and chattering happily. Morgan became more jealous by the hour. "I don't trust that boy!" he hissed to Cody. "Neither do I!" Casey overheard. "What's the matter? Are you jealous?" "No!" Morgan replied, sarcasticly. "Are too." Casey walked ahead, and continued her conversation with Joey. "You are jealous, aren't you?" Cody said in a low voice to Morgan. Morgan finally agreed. They walked in silence, while Casey and Joey chattered. "In here." Joey said, pointing to a cave to the right side of the small path. Casey looked skeptical. "I don't think there's anything in there. It looks too small." she pointed. "Uh, they're the...small variety. That's it! Small variety! They're really tiny!" Casey smirked. "Yeah right. Gimme a break, Joey. Digglett is practically the smallest Pokemon in the world, and we would have heard them, or felt the vibrations from their digging already. If you seem to think that there are Pokemon in that cave, then you go in first." Joey looked blank, then blanched visibly. "I'm not the one interested, Casey. Go ahead, would I lie to you?" *Yes.* "Hmmm...no." Casey replied, crouching in front of the cave. Picking up a large stone, she whiped it inside. She recieved two painful cries. "Ouch! Owie! Owie! Owie!" "James, what was that?!" "I dunno!" Casey raised an eyebrow. "Interesting Pokemon in that cave, Joey. They talk. And I know their species names, too. Jessie and James, otherwise known as 'Stupidicus delusionalus', and 'Dementicus idioticus whinicus'." That was met with Jessie's outraged screech, and the sound of an EXTREMELY large firearm going off from inside the cave. Suddenly, Casey found herself dangling from a tree, with a net wrapped tightly around her middle, pinning her arms to her sides. The six Pokeballs on her belt fell to the ground, where Jessie scooped them up gleefully. "When I get out of this, I'm gonna $#@!ing tear your $#@!ing lungs out and $#@!ing stomp on 'em!" she shrieked, kicking her shoes at Jessie and James. She hit paydirt when they struck them between the eyes. Jessie dropped the pokeballs, and they rolled all over the place. Morgan and Cody gasped. Never before had Casey ever said anything so...so... so...DIRTY! Not even when Team Rocket had melted their bikes, 'cos she had had the decency to cover that up. "Watch your language!" Morgan yelled at her. "That's not the least of her problems, blondy!" James smirked at him, throwing the shoe aside, and aiming a gun at Casey's heart. "No!" Joey cried."You can't kill her!" "Keep quiet!" James shouted, slapping Joey hard across the face."This doesn't concern you!" "Listen to your father!" Jessie snapped. "FATHER?!" Morgan, Cody, and Casey yelled. "You've played your part, now get the hell out of here!" Jessie growled, pointing to the path."You got her here, and that's all we've expected! Now go!" "I didn't think you were going to kill her!" Joey screamed, knocking the gun from James's hand. As soon as it hit the ground, it went off. Everyone froze. The bullet severed the rope that held Casey dangling, only a hairs length from the top of her head. Casey landed on top of Morgan, the net coming lose. She dove for a pokeball. The pink heart on the front had a water drop on it, so she knew it was Bubbles, her Squirtle. "Go Bubbles! Hydro pump!" "Squirtle!!!" it shrieked, using its newly aquired attack. Bubbles soaked Jessie and James completely. Meanwhile, Casey was franticly searching for her favorite Pokemons pokeball. *Gold moon, green leaf, red fire...God! Where is it?!* Then she found it: the one with the jagged gold thunderbolt on the heart. Casey threw it quickly. "Sheila! Thundershock now!" she cried. "Pika pika..." Sheila growled, building up her energy."PIKA CHUUUUU!!!" Team Rocket got a round trip flight to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, screaming threats at Joey. [Input: They sure do a lot of flying! They must be seasoned travelers by now, and have a lot of air miles racked up] Joey looked tearfully at Casey. "I'm sorry!" he choked."I didn't know what they were planning!" "It's okay, but why did toy even listen to them?" "Because, all my life, they've been telling me lies about how they were innocent, and your father got them sent to prison, so they wanted revenge. I didn't think they would try-" "Joey, you were mislead." Casey sighed, shaking out her hair."Team Rocket was always bad. They were Pokemon theives, and murderers, and they got what they deserved, especially your parents boss. Here, ask Persian." Casey released Persian, who hissed when he saw Joey. "Persian, that's not nice!" Casey scolded. After some (please excuse the pun) purr-suasion on Caseys behalf, Persian willingly told Joey the real story, while Casey, Morgan, and Cody waited nearby, playing Hearts. "Well?" Casey asked, laying down her hand of cards. "I've decided to go live with my adoptive grandmother in Saffron city. I'll be safe there, and if my parents try to get to me, they'll be arrested on sight." "Why?" Joey grinned for the first time since he'd learned the truth about his parents. "She's a Jenny!" "Yahoo!" Morgan yelled happily. "Bye, Joey!" Casey shouted, waving at her departing friend."Take care!" "Bye, Casey!" he shouted back."I'll miss you!" Cody flashed Joey a peace sign, while Morgan smiled, and nodded at his departing half-kin. "Okay, so now where?" Cody asked."Still want to go to Fuisha?" "You bet!" Casey said."There's just one last town between us, and Fuisha, so let's go!" "So, this is the Fuisha gym, hmm?" Casey said, sizing it up."Now, why have I just gotten a craving for sushi?" "It kinda looks like a Japanese resteraunt." Morgan mused. "Table for three!" Cody said, ruffling Morgans white-blond hair. "Pika pi!" Sheila giggled, holding up a pair of chopsticks. "Sheila, return!" Casey sighed. That mouse had a weird sense of humor. "Hey, my dad told me all about this place." Casey said, looking around."He told me it's a training ground, and we should stick together. And, he said 'Whatever you do, do _not_ follow the Venonat'." "What Venonat?" Morgan and Cody asked at the same time. Casey looked behind the two boys, and blinked. "That Venonat." she replied, pointing. The boys turned and darted towards the bug Pokemon, but Casey caught them by the shirts. "Hey! My dad said not to follow it!" she protested. They followed it, anyway. Casey was left on her own. "Watch out for the Burmese tiger trap! Surgery's expensive, so you'd better not hurt yourselves!" she shrieked after them."Ah, this is no fun! I'm left here, while they go chase a Venonat!" Wandering around, Casey found that everything her father had told her about the house was completely true, especially after stepping on a Voltorb, and smacking into an invisible wall. Gingerly rubbing her nose, Casey went the other way. The two boys were helplessly lost. The Venonat had disapeared, and they couldn't find their way back to where they thought casey would be patiently waiting. Casey screamed as she saw the throwing stars embed themselves in her clothes, pinning her to the wall. The last one slashed her arm. A thin line of crimson ran down her arm, and stained her white tunic. Morgan and Cody heard the scream, and split up to find its source. "Huh! You're just like that kid!" Iya scoffed, freeing the terrified girl from the wall."You didn't know that this was a training ground, did you?" "Yes, but I didn't think that _this_ was where dad said you'd throw those things." "Oh, it figures." Iya sighed."You're _his_ kid, aren't you?" "Yea, and don't call him 'kid'!" Casey snarled. "You are a touchy little girl, aren't you? Shall we battle?" "You're on!" ________________________________________________________________________ _ Strange, no? and i have no idea on what kind of evolution stones there actually are (I wrote this, then started pondering, so your opinions/ knowlege would be greatly appreciated) oh, well...Cya later!
