I do not own Pokemon. I own various other money making schemes, but not this one.

Tears fell from his face. He left the arena in a state of shock. He had…failed. How had he lost? All the other battles had been so easy. He normally wiped the floor with his opponents. But he had come up against a trainer with far greater strength than himself. He tried to remember the trainer’s name, but he was so distraught that he had forgotten. All he could muster up was the fact that the Trainer’s Pikachu had been abnormally strong. It had fried all his Pokemon…his Cloyster, his Meganium and even his Hitmonchan…all were no match.

“GAAAAH!”

He let out a scream of anguish, before falling to his knees. It was over. How could he pick himself up from this? It had been humiliating. A clean sweep in the last round of three-on-three’s…he would never battle again…he couldn’t…his dream had been destroyed. He would find something else…but he couldn’t let his Pokemon down…he was so confused. He moaned quietly and slumped onto the nearby grass. It was cool and moist with dew. It was getting late. But he couldn’t decide where to go. Maybe he’d just lie down here for a while…

“Hey”

Now he was hearing voices. Just great, he thought to himself. He was insane now too. Even he had underestimated his Trauma…

“Hey! Are you all right?”

Startled, Matt turned and sat up. He found himself face to face with a girl.

“Ah!”

Matt scrambled back, causing the girl to look curiously at him. Matt stood up, brushed himself down, and tried to look normal, but he couldn’t. He went all funny around girls. Especially pretty girls. And this girl was off the scale.

“What’s wrong,” She asked, still looking puzzled, some of her blonde hair covering her face. ‘Oh God.. .’ thought Matt. He was having convulsions. ‘I really don’t need this..’

“I’m just a bit depressed…”Matt replied, wondering how he had managed.

“Oh, why? Hey…aren’t you the guy…Oh I’m so sorry for you…”

“So you saw it huh?”

“I’m just so sorry…you looked so dejected.”

“I guess I was…It was pretty tough.”

The girl looked at me with sympathetic eyes. She was dazzling, she looked like a young supermodel, or at least to Matt she did.

“My name’s Michelle. You’re Matt right? You’ve got some pretty cool Pokemon by the way.”

Pokemon was a topic Matt could discuss. Yet he wouldn’t have been able to talk about it five minutes ago. This girl just made him feel better.

“Thanks…hey, do you have any Pokemon? I haven’t met many people who don’t!”

“Well, now that you mention it…I do have some. Would you like to see them?”

“Of course! I believe that you can see a person’s personality by their Pokemon. I’d like to be the judge.” Matt was feeling more confident by the second. He was on a roll.

“Is that so…well then, everybody come on out!” She threw six Pokeballs and each one opened with a flash of red light.

Matt had to stop himself from bursting out laughing. A Phanpy, a Teddiursa, a Butterfree, a Jigglypuff, and a Ninetails stood before him. It was obvious what this girl’s personality was. But when he saw the sixth Pokemon he froze. It was a Pikachu. The same Pokemon, if not the exact same one, that had ruined his dream. Michelle realized what was wrong.

“Oh I’m so sorry! Sorry! Sorry!” she called Pikachu and all her other Pokemon back into their Pokeballs. She once again felt sympathetic for this guy. He was obviously confused, and distraught over his trouncing at the hands of the Trainer with the super Pikachu. He was also kind of cute too. Not particularly handsome, but not bad either. She wished she could do something to help him.

“Say, why don’t we go to the Pokemon center? Your Pokemon will need to recover after…” she decided not to go on. She just looked at him, standing there dejected, but he nodded. So they set off, hurrying slightly to get to the centre before dark.

My first chapter of my first pokemon fic finished! Brew-haha! Like it? Next chapter might be up sometime soon. I’m pretty busy at the moment, so don’t get fussy if I take a while.
