Chapter 3: Freindship or not? By Containiac I do not own Pokemon. If you say I do, I beat you down. Ages: look in previous chapter While Michelle was looking at Matt, he suddenly got up and brushed himself down. He looked past Michelle, and proceeded to walk towards Ash. Ash looked at the advancing Matt, wondering if there was going to be any trouble. Yet as Matt got close enough to Ash, he merely stuck his hand out for Ash to shake, which, admittedly hesitantly, he did. They locked gaze for a moment, and Ash could see the look of Fire in Matt’s eyes…it didn’t look normal somehow. It looked like…a Pokemon’s glare…an angry Pokemon’s glare. They let go of their handshake, and Matt finally went to Nurse Joy to get his Pokemon healed Ash walked over to Michelle, who was looking concernedly at Matt. He tapped her on the shoulder, and she turned round with an inquisitive face. “Your friend, Matt, seems…strange somehow.” Michelle gave a curious look at Ash. “Why do you think so? He’s just depressed.” Ash scratched the back of his head, nervous as to what Michelle’s reply may be. “He just seems…from the look I saw in his eye…slightly too much like a Pokemon.” Michelle was confused. “Seems like a Pokemon…what?” ”It’s hard to explain,” Ash confessed, looking at the ground for a second, “But, he just seems…slightly like a Pokemon in everything he does. He gave me a glare that would have made a Usaring whimper.” Michelle still couldn’t comprehend it. Yet she didn’t need too. She overheard a conversation in the background. “Your Pokemon have made an outstanding recovery. You must treat them well.” “I Try.” Matt collected his Pokemon and approached the two, still not smiling. “I suppose we’d all better go.” Ash nodded, and they shook hands again. “I’ll beat you next time.” Ash grinned, before saying goodbye to Michelle. Afterwards, after Ash had left, it was just Michelle and Matt outside the Pokemon centre. “Well, what do we do now?” Matt looked scornfully at Michelle, “We?” “Where are we traveling next?” Michelle took a step closer to Matt, but he stepped back, back into the dark night. “There is no we. There is only me. I must continue. You must return home. It is simple.” Matt had no emotion at all, a hollow look in his eyes. “Go. I must train again. I do that alone.” Tears started to form in Michelle’s eyes. “What’s so bad? You’ve just met me anyway…” Michelle looked down, sniffing. “What?” Matt was impatient, ready to leave. Michelle mumbled something, the tears now starting to flow. “I can’t take you with me. What’s the fuss? Tell me!” “I HAVE NOWHERE TO GO!” Michelle exploded, now sobbing loudly. Matt stared at her, nonplussed. “What? What do you mean? Explain yourself!” Temper, Temper…she’s crying. Comfort her…you know you like her…or are you really that cold? No…I can’t…it would be better for both of us if she never saw me again. And you know exactly why. But she could be the one that could help you…I can’t help you physically Matt…I’m just the voice in your head… Matt approached Michelle, looking nervous. Michelle looked up and saw that emotion had returned to his face. She sniffed again, and gave a weak smile. “I’m sorry,” Matt whispered, hanging his head. “I’ve been through more than you know…It’s hard to explain…” May nodded weakly. “I know what you mean. I live in an orphanage…my parents died when I was very young.” She sniffed again. “How about your parents?” Matt spat at the ground. “I am ashamed of them. I don’t talk about them.” “Oh. Sorry.” “It’s all right…hey…if you have nowhere to go…then maybe…you could…travel…with…me?” Matt paused after every few words, not enjoying the experience of knowing what this meant in the long term. What it meant in the short term however, was that Michelle squealed and flung her arms around him. For the first time in what had been a very long time…Matt blushed. This was going to be an awkward relationship…for him most of all… If you haven’t guessed already, Matt’s victim to some serious mood swings. And the pokemon bit will figure too… P.S My plan is to make this about a maybe six part series, before making a prequel series, which will be the background to Matt’s past. Then after that, continuing with this main storyline. Oh and there’ll be a few AAMRN’s scattered randomly. Now that’s all set out, sorry for the shortness of this chapter. I was on a time frame to get one up for the next update. The next one will be longer. Promise ;)
