I watched Misty walk out the door, and stared at my former rival. "Well, I guess I better go." I said, not caring to engage in conversation with him. But as my luck turned out, he stopped me. "Where are you going? Just because of what happened in the Tournament, doesn't mean we still can't be friends!" He said exuberantly, while scratching his Pikachu between the ears as it hopped up on his lap. "Come on Gary," he put his hand out, "maybe we could have a talk you know?" his face looked pensive. "Just like old times." Gah! What the Heck? That old creepy told me Ash wouldn't want to be my friend because he was a better trainer now. "Gary!" an old, rough voice called out. Gary looked around. Braxton's voice couldn't have possibly gotten that bad. "Eh, who said that?" Gary asked to no one in particular. He got some strange looks from the other trainers in the hotel lobby, which was rented for the tournament's occasion. "Gary," said the old man again. A old man put his hand on Gary's shoulder, "we need to talk." "Uh any one in there?" Ash asked me, while waving his hand franticly in my face. I figured the old man was going to say something along the same lines that he told me to Misty. Something about the old guy was strange, I shrugged it off. "Eh, what?" I asked. Ash sighed and rubbed his thumb and forefinger on his forehead. "I asked if you wanted to talk. You know, what's going on, how have you been, how's Blastoise?" I opened my mouth to speck, but was interrupted by a faint knocking on the door. "Hey! You stupid DOOR! OPEN!" a feminine voice, cried out. "Why. Won't. You. OPEN?!" the person banged on the door again. I opened the door only to have a girl about the age of Ash fall on me. "Gah!" I cried out, "What the crap?" Another girl's head popped out into the room. "May I don't think this is our room." I backed out and got a better look at the two of them. The one with brown hair was sprawled on the floor, in the process of getting up. The other one with green hair looked around the room. Ash was helping the brown haired girl up. "You should really remember your door number-" Ash stopped his sentence. "May Birch?!" he cried in confusion. "Uh, yeah, but who are you?" "I'm Ash!" "Ash?!" May yelled. We were all sitting in a semi-circle 'talking'. Ash was gloating about his wins (he didn't mention my defeat surprisingly) to the girl who was apparently one of his old traveling companions. They were deeply engrossed in their conversation, so I decided to talk to the other girl. "So why are you and May here?" I asked the laconic girl, and continued, "Are you in the tournament too?" The girl was looking at Ash. "Hellooooo?" I asked again. She continued to look towards Ash. "Fine, whatever. It seems Gary Oak can't be heard by green hair people." I muttered to myself. "What?" the girl asked. "Finally, you talk" "No, what did you say?" "Did I say something?" Deny, deny, and deny! The girl looked frustrated. "No! I'm sure you said something!" "Say what?" "Arg! Never mind, but I'm sure you said something that sounded like 'Gary Oak' to me." Ahs and May were still talking. "Well, that's my name!" I said, oh how I like to make people infatuated. "Do you mean it?" The girl looked surprised. I forgot my scheme and replied. "Sure." Before sipping on some water. She tilted her head, " It's me Green! Amy!" she cried out. Ash stopped talking, I spewed out the water, and May looked at Amy with an odd expression. Ash, Amy, and me had been best friends when we were little and had nicknames. I was Blue, Ash was Red, and Amy was Green. Our favorite colors. But nothing gold can stay and we all started to slowly drift apart. Ash and me got more competitive and fought more. Amy didn't like it much, so she stopped coming over to play with us. That got Ash and me sad, and even angrier with each other. I've always blamed myself for her disappearance. "Wow, that's surprising." I broke the silence. Amy got up and danced around singing 'I found them, I found them!' Ash stared at me dumbfounded, Pikachu was chattering angrily, and I suppose I had the same expression as Ash's. May appeared shocked as well. "Amy, I've never seen you this way! I'm glad that you found your old friends Ash and…..and." she stopped. I forgot that I never met May before, so I finished her sentence, "Gary, Gary Oak." I had a new sense of happiness/ "See?" the old man huffed out, "he's making new friends already." Misty looked solemnly down at the floor, "Ash is my friend though." "Not anymore!" the man wheezed out. He looked as if he was going to die at any second. "But what can I do?" The old man's face wrinkled into a smile, her soul was weak. "There is only one thing…."
